Want a perfect breakfast? Easy. Eat here cozy vibe and delicious food. Loved the build your own breakfast. Pancakes were SO GOOD. Service was quick and super nice. You literally can't go wrong having breakfast here.

Chicken fried steak, supposed to be crispy hash browns and fruit... 1 hour wait. Horrible

Service... staff on duty... allowing substitution for diets... if I could rate negative I would. Only decent thing was the short wait.

We are in town for a wedding and came here to have a get together breakfast with families! There is plenty of sitting area! When we walked in we got a big welcome from the hostess! Took a minute and we sat at our tables! We each have different food ordered there is so many options! I got the stuffed blackberry French toast! So yummy !!! Definitely recommend here! The server was amazing and we have a good time!

Nothing is worse than having to leave a bad review. Came here for lunch today and wished we hadn't. I ordered a cheeseburger and it came with a fresh cold piece of cheese on it which I wasn't really expecting. I asked the waitress if they could reheat it and melt the cheese a little and so they did and she was super nice about it and ended up comping my burger. Our waitress was SO nice and so helpful but the staff in the kitchen seemed to be kind of a wreck. We spent about 2 hours at the restaurant and there was just two of us. We also ordered french toast and it was good but it did take quite a long time for them to get those out to us. Overall disappointed in my experience here but I am impressed with how Hannah, our waitress handled the whole situation. Probably won't be back though.

We wanted to try this spot mostly because it was walking distance, and early morning walks was our thing. Come to realize this place has some really good options on their menu. We usually only come here for breakfast, but their dinner options are also really good and not even that pricey!! Its always really calm and chill every time we come here (granted we haven't came in during rush hour) so the ambience has always been great. However, we sometimes feel like the staff are on chill mode most of the time and food always takes so long to come and service is a little slow. Other than that, definitely recommend this place!

I ordered a veggie omelette. What I got was egg whites and veggies on the side...A good Omelette MIXES the eggs and veggies before cooking.

Step inside and you will find a beautifully decorated space with an open kitchen greeting you at the entrance and a staff that is genuinely enthusiastic about the food they are serving. Ocotillo specializes in the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, a region known for bold meat and seafood dishes. They also offer a daily brunch menu that is worth planning your weekend around. We ordered the tres leches pancakes, a triple stack that delivers exactly what the name promises. Bathed in a three milk mixture and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream, moist but not to sweet. The Sonorense combination was equally impressive. Arrachera steak strips, chilaquiles made with poblano chile, a tamal de elote, and two eggs. The arrachera was excellent and the chilaquiles were crispy, which is exactly how they should be and not something every kitchen gets right. The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return. We are already looking forward to exploring the lunch and dinner menu. Slightly more expensive than a standard breakfast spot, but the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients justify every dollar. Five stars without hesitation.

I loved the chicken sausage and was surprised at the flavor. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and had a great texture. They needed a little more salt in my opinion. There was no wait to be seated, which was a great start, and we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast together. Unfortunately, the experience steadily declined from there. After being seated, it took several minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server arrived, she offered coffee, which we accepted, but we were never offered water. I noticed that nearly every other table around us received both coffee and water automatically, so that stood out. When our food arrived, my eggs were significantly overcooked and had to be remade. While mistakes happen and I certainly understand that, it added additional wait time to the meal. Throughout breakfast, service felt very inattentive. We had to request extra napkins, ask for coffee and water refills ourselves, and rarely saw our server check on the table. One thing that really surprised us was that she brought our check while we were still eating. I've dined at many restaurants, including First Watch, and it's unusual to receive the bill halfway through the meal rather than after you're finished. After Bill was placed on the table, we didn't see our server again. The final disappointment came after we had finished eating. We stayed for a few minutes talking, and when we were ready to leave with our leftovers, we waited approximately 20 minutes without seeing our server. I finally had to find another waitress just to get a takeout box. Individually, none of these issues would have been a major concern. However, when you combine them all together, it resulted in a disappointing overall experience from beginning to end. I realize our server may have been new, and I truly don't enjoy criticizing someone who is learning. My intent isn't to get anyone in trouble. Rather, I wanted management to understand why what should have been an enjoyable breakfast with my daughter turned into an experience that left us questioning whether we'll return.

If you're planning to dine there, make sure you don't have any pressing commitments afterward. On both of our visits, we spent an extraordinary amount of time simply waiting to be acknowledged. During our most recent visit, our group sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant and could have driven all the way to the Draper location in the time it took for a server to notice we were there. We initially assumed the experience was a one-time issue, so we gave the American Fork location a second chance a few months later. Unfortunately, it was almost identical to the first visit. The pace of service was painfully S...L...O...W... The time from when we sat down until we got the special priviledge of actually ordering: 25 minutes! In contrast, the Draper location has consistently been a much better experience and appears to be managed far more efficiently. I'm glad they've expanded into American Fork, and the food certainly makes the restaurant worth visiting. I just hope they can improve their service processes so customers can enjoy a great meal without needing to set aside half their day to do it.

The vibe when you walk in is super cool, and the employees are always friendly. They give great recommendations, and sometimes they'll even make their own favorite drink that's not on the menu. It's definitely a busy spot, there are always people there, even on weekdays with WFH people working at the tables. Weekends (and even Sundays) get pretty packed, but it makes sense. Their coffee is always solid and the food is good for a coffee shop. My go-to drinks are the Smilin' Hawaiian or the caramel blondie. For food, I love their breakfast BAE (bacon, avocado, egg) sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar bagel, so good! Just make sure they've got ripe avocados because that makes all the difference

It was so packed inside, I've never seen that many people in a coffee shop. It took me about 15 minutes to finally find a spot at a table and luckily only a couple of people showed up to meet. We had a really great time though and the vibes are so good here. Everyone I interacted with from customers to the baristas were awesome. I ordered a tea called katara and it was amazing. It was kind of fruity, but just so full of flavor and didn't taste watered down at all. Once it was ready they brought it out which was impressive because of how busy it was, they still kept track of where I was which I appreciated. Overall, good vibes, good drinks, and great baristas.
