I have been to the locations in Olathe several times, I was greeted right away and sat quickly. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions of menu items. I was checked on throughout the meal to make sure the food was good and that I didn't need anything. I have ordered the Strawberry lemonade and a burger, I had no issues or complaints about either one.

My wife and I were in the area and enjoy a good BBD meal so we stopped in for an early dinner. The hostess sat us right away. We waited a few minutes waiting for our server during a slow afternoon. Once our server took our drink and food order the service was top notch. We talked about few menu items. The food was good. She was right there with drink refills. She was very nice and friendly. Then it came time to pay the bill, and get the passport stamp. Paying the bill was no problem. There aren't any other BBD locations close so no one knew about the passport stamp other than the manager. The cashier had to ask and server and then the manager about the passport stamp. Why train the staff about the stamp if there aren't a lot of other locations close by. I got the easy going vibe.

This was our first breakfast visit. We really enjoyed our food. The service was top notch and the overall look of the diner was inviting and relaxing. I got the California Omelette and it was fantastic. My drink was the mocha iced tea. Also VERY tasty. My wife got ham and cheese omelette and unsweetened tea. She loved her meal as well. This diner will be our new "go to" place for a great breakfast!

Great Diner, delicious grits, and fantastic service. Prices are fair and portions are huge. I got the chicken avocado club, and it was real chicken that didn't taste like the typical processed crap. The burger was excellent and cooked to order. We live around the corner, so we'll definitely be back.

Needed something off I-70 to break up a long road trip. Picked Black Bear because it was right there. Cozy, clean and kid-friendly. The taco salad and club sandwich were both excellent. Kids loved their burgers and fries. Service was friendly and attentive. Pleasant lunch!

This blob of slob is the mashed potatoes /white gravy. Looks toxic but it's descent.

Not just Mid but Very mid . I mean there's bear statues everywhere. What do you expect? Makes you feel like you're eating in a diner from vacation with Chevy Chase. Definitely not recommendable.

I've been to Black Bear Diner plenty of times and every time has been a good experience! On Friday I decided to go for the all you can eat fish fry. It was so good and the fish tasted super fresh and fried right before it got put on the plate. It really is a great deal especially for a big appetite because they give you a large amount of food.

It used to be nestled inside the Colonial Gardens nursery and market off 7 hwy and Wyatt streets in Blue Springs, MO. The signage was sparse, so it was difficult to find... But most people did! And it was so worth the adventure. On our original visit we ordered the Belgian Waffle with fresh fruit. It was light and fluffy on the inside and golden crispy on the outside. The fruit was perfectly ripe and naturally sweet. We also shared a half order of biscuits and gravy. Obviously made from scratch. A warm fluffy and moist biscuit under a generous serving of rich and creamy sausage forward gravy. I couldn't stop eating it I ordered their ham and cheese florentine frittata, which was filled with yummy ingredients and had a creamy custard layer on the top. It was absolutely mouthwatering! They're generous in their portion sizes there. The ambiance was pleasant and cozy. With lots of windows that afforded the best views of the arboretum. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We continued to frequent this place, even after they relocated onto Main Street at the square. They are able to accommodate more guests than before, and offer more dishes and pastries. They put out a heck of a breakfast! You really must try their hospitality. Always friendly, always kind. The actual address for their current location is now 1101 W Main St, (Suite A) Blue Springs, MO 64015. If interested, they are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. (Closed on Sunday and Monday). If you'd care to reach them, simply call (816) 600-0089. You can check on their daily specials, etc...

We were seated right away as a party of 8, which was great for a larger group. Unfortunately, the experience this time was really slow when it came to food service. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and we noticed smaller tables that were seated after us received their meals, ate, and left before we even got ours. Our server also walked past our table several times without giving any updates, which was frustrating while waiting. We typically go to the Liberty location because we've had better experiences there. This visit just wasn't the best, but we do like the overall vibe of the restaurant and hope service improves at this location.

The food was good, but the fries had been under the warmer for much longer than it should have and felt soggy and lifeless. I would like to try the food again at a corner cafe with good service (this was my first time eating at corner cafe) The inside was very similar to most other brunch spots with a bit of a country theme. The atmosphere felt off with all the customers crammed in one section of the restaurant with the rest of the restaurant left vacant with the lights off.

In my opinion, $22 for an Easter brunch buffet should mean hot food that won't run out. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Our party of 10 arrived at 11:00am and all of the food in the buffet was cold. Even when they'd bring more of a certain item to replace on the buffet line, it wasn't warm. The only item that was hot was the prime rib at the carving station. Being pregnant, I felt extremely uncomfortable eating cold buffet food due to the increased risk of food poisoning, so I wasn't able to enjoy much beyond the room temperature biscuits and the last scrapings of the white gravy along with some green beans that were warmish. Defintely not worth the $22 a person. They also ran out of carrot cake on Easter of all holidays, which was a disappointment. We probably won't be back for a buffet at Sandy's, which is a shame because our family has eaten their Mother's Day buffet several times and it had been fine (not stellar, but fine). Also, just a personal opinion, but the constant use of bad AI pictures on their Facebook is so cringey. The Boomers might like it, but the younger crowd sees this sort of stuff and thinks "yikes." We'd rather see real pictures of your real food, not a cartoon depiction.

They offer daily specials, weekly trivia contests, and a live music. Entertainers generally play live music several nights a week. Sinclairs host mostly acoustic performers, mainly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Most of the entertainers feature guitar playing solo artists in the bar area. As for the food... it's all pretty tasty. Served in an upscale fashion. And worth mentioning is THE ABSOLUTE BEST MEATLOAF I have ever eaten outside of my own kitchen; and yes, possibly even better than my own... which speaks volumes because I'm generally an excellent cook and extremely particular diner. (Not bragging - just emphasizing that my standards are high). This meatloaf is hearty, rich, and moist, with a firm meaty texture (Not over done with fillers). It's cut generously and served over freshly mashed potatoes topped with a complex & flavorful sauce I'd liken to a rich brown gravy with a hint of herbs & possibly a tad bit of steak sauce for good measure... Its the star. I just wished they served this on their daily menu! Speaking of... their entire menu is thoughtfully made, and the chef deserves major kudos for their talents in the kitchen.
