I honestly never have been a big fan of Black Bear Diner regardless of their location and today wasn't any different. Their service and ambiance is great but I just don't dig their food! Perhaps it's just me but I think there is better. On a plus note their portions are huge!

I love this place so much! Every Black Bear Diner I've gone to is always so comforting to me. I don't know if it's the cozy cabin lounge style or the feel of back in the day easy-going breakfast grub, and with the sweet older folks there early morning just makes it more enjoyable (it's like having my grandparents there). The service is absolute welcoming all the time. I love it when places like this have the consistency of kindness. Call me lame but their newspaper theme of menu is my favorite. My go-to order is always homemade corned beef hash, ultimate fave at Black Bear. I do need to come here more often at later times because I have never ordered their lunch or dinner before. Waiting time is not bad at all, so no need to get frustrated easily. Thanks Black Bear Diner for being an awesome breakfast spot in the Western+Midwest, y'all are my favorite!

Denver omelette, breakfast potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Enough for 2 people!

I had a GREAT experience ordering from door dash. Prices were fair- for 20.00 my husband and I could share the Denver omelette, breakfast potatoes- then we added gravy to the biscuits for a couple dollars and that was like a whole other meal! Will be eating here again. Thankful to have found a good breakfast spot with biscuits and gravy! Food was plated well and arrived quickly, speaking to good service. I have never been inside as we ordered door dash. But will go in person sometime.

Chicken 'N Waffle, Country Chicken Fried Steak, Breakfast Burrito, and eggs Benedict

We ordered the Chicken 'N Waffle, Country Chicken Fried Steak, Breakfast Burrito, and Eggs Benedict. The inside was nice and the server was great, which really made the experience enjoyable. The food was good overall, just not something that completely stood out. Everything was solid and we left satisfied. I'd definitely come back and try more items.

The service was great! The food was just okay. The most important part cleanliness is where it really disappointed. The booths had visible dust. I was having to tell my toddler to stay away from the booth corners because they were dirty. The photo frames were also visibly dusty. Won't be back due to concerns about how clean the kitchen might be.

8/27 Family Breakfast with In-Laws while they visiting. Was greeted immediately and sat quickly table of 5. Wasn't too busy of a mid morning breakfast. Katrina was our server and she was great. Took our orders quick and food didn't take too long to come out . I had the classic eggs Benedict. It was decent not the best I have had but still good . Everyone seemed to enjoy their food as well. I would still come back try some other breakfast items . Typical diner with cabin like ambiance. Overall good experience. Enjoy !!!!

Popped in for a medical seminar. They served a number of choices. I opted for an easy go to. Taco Salad. Boy was i definitely surprised with the presentation not to mention the taste. Food came out hot to the table. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient for the crowd size. It was a relaxing experience, held in the back conference area.

Bear's choice with cinnamon roll French toast.

Of the two locations I do prefer the layout of this establishment over their other counterpart. (They have a cool gift section) The service was great, and accommodating. They were fairly busy and our server checked on us regularly. I ordered the bear's choice which comes with two pancakes, waffle, or two French toast, bacon, ham, or sausage, and two eggs made to order. I ordered two eggs over medium and I chose ham. It was an up charge, but I selected the cinnamon roll french toast and it was delicious. Highly recommend. The only negative I'd note is that the portions seemed smaller than the other locations I've tried. The eggs and ham were certainly smaller/less when I compared my photos of the same meal. Perhaps this was just the day I went, but certainly worth noting.

Came here for lunch during a week day. We had the best server! I wish I could remember her name. She was funny and ensured we always had everything we needed. Our food came out fresh and it was definitely tasty, however the portions were so small compared to the sparks location. I felt like I ordered the kids chicken strip basket lol. Also? I loved their honey mustard. It was my favorite dipping sauce. I'd still come back though!

The service was pretty good. We came at a time when they were not too busy and we were able to come in and out rather quickly. We had a good waitress. The tri-tip sandwich was a bit dry, but the chicken crisper we had were pretty good. They have three kinds of hot sauces, which makes it very convenient for those would like different ingredients of heat. It is a nice place, it has a country vibe to it.l, and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

Service is good, pancakes is always the way to go, i really enjoy there chicken links with my breakfast. fruit is always sweet and fresh. You can't go wrong with grabbing breakfast with them. However i did have lipstick making on my coffee cup to which they grab me a new coffee and cup. P.S They also have non dairy options for creamer.

Even with the place being full, everything ran smoothly and the staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. It felt like they actually care about making sure you're taken care of, not rushing you in and out. Definitely a strong point of the experience. For food, we had the chicken fried steak and the French toast. The chicken fried steak was exactly what you want from a place like this, large portion, hearty, and satisfying. The French toast was a nice balance to that, a little lighter but still rich and comforting. Overall, it's solid, no nonsense comfort food that hits the spot. PJ's is a just a good ol'fashioned diner and I mean this in the best way possible. The restaurant has a comfortable, rustic feeling and the staff are warm and welcoming. Just good basic French Toast. Nothing bougie, just good French Toast. The eggs were eggs but the sausage was quite good. Rich with flavor. The coffee, while unusually expensive for a dinner, was just meh. Nothing special nor nothing terrible. Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

We ups recommend both of those. This is the problem--we ordered to go so we could take back to work. The first bite of the burrito was charred. Tasted that way. Figured maybe the knife that cut it was covered in something, so ate some off other half, same thing. I tore off both cut ends. Now, I know it's the burrito. This burrito should have had only cheese, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. It was missing cheese (which, ironically, may have made the completely charred bacon doable). You'd think it'd be even easier to make, not having to cook sausage, too. This bacon was not just burned. It was inedible. Because the restaurant was now closed and we couldn't leave work, I had nothing but a horrible taste in my mouth. It looked so good. I like crispy bacon, the burrito was hot. But I don't even know if meat this burnt is unhealthy. There's no way they didn't notice, that's the worst part, they still added it to the burrito. $12, no sides (you can have salsa, I have them keep it, why waste?). We'll try it again. Two previous things we noted: not real butter or mayo, if this matters to you. Spanish rice is basically tomato rice. Soups are good for the most part. Eggs are good. Prime rib is good for the price. My wife tried The Chatfield (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, apple butter) and was equally content. The Oregon Marionberry jam was a tart yet sweet customized side, and I much enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to round off the plate.
