What a fun vibe. Comfy table seating and couches. If I was in school, this would be where I'd come to crash and study!!! Great looking pastries, including some insane donuts, but I stayed with my old school hot americano. Well made. Three outdoor tables and plenty of parking as it's in strip with a Safeway. Coffee and teas offered Service was friendly and conversational. My fav kinda place

I have been a loyal customer since they opened (12-13 years ago?). I have never been disappointed by their blended coffee with whole milk. I love the atmosphere with fun local art and comfortable seating. The employees have always been friendly as well. A great local spot.

I really loved this place. Great seating areas, comfy couch seats, lots of tables, friendly staff willing to adapt drinks to your liking. Definitely recommend stopping in :)

Super cool place. It's located in a strip mall setup in the same plaza as Safeway. Great coffee and tea options with lots of different flavors and syrups, many available as sugar free. The staff are very friendly. It's cozy inside, with local art featured on the walls for sale too. Would definitely recommend and hope to try a pastry next time.

Black cat coffee house is my all time favorite local coffee shop. I've been going for years and Tanya (the owner) and her team do an amazing job at creating a good environment to study/hang out at. They have a wide assortment of coffees, a huge assortment of teas and other drinks, and numerous other pastries and food bites. I highly recommend the black cat bomb, which is my all time favorite, it's definitely a meal replacement imo but so worth it!

Cute place. Interesting decor. Old cartoons/ drawings on the wall. Pretty low lights going on in here. The young women at the counter was pleasant! I tried the Black Cat Bomber! Delicious. Coffee mixed with Peanut butter, Banana and Protein powder. Yummy. We popped in after breakfast for a pick me up. The drink is like a small meal considering the protein! Good job! I would for sure come back to try more!

I was in town early for a business meeting and searched for a place with WiFi, food and drink to work from for a couple of hours. Black Cat Coffee for the win! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and iced apricot tea. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were other patrons reading the paper or books or on laptops also enjoying their time. The temperature was nice and cool. This was a Thursday morning and they were not that busy. Definitely recommend and I will be back the next time I have a meeting in town and arrive early!

Absolutely love it! Mike and I love checking out local options for coffee or tea that aren't a chain. This place delivers with great service and a varied menu of coffee, tea, blended drinks, some pastries and comfortable seating! The music is not overwhelming and the atmosphere is inviting. Loved my black cat decaf beverage

    Burnt Mocha
    Brad W.

Well..the staff was nice, but on this day the coffee for the hot mocha tasted burnt and continued to taste burnt before I tossed it half-way through. They also had no choice of milk and she forgot my muffin until I reminded her. The blueberry muffin was below par, lacking blueberries in most of the muffin. Bad luck for this black cat today.

The baristas seemed to know almost everyone who walked through the door, greeting customers by name and catching up with them like old friends. As first-time visitors, we were welcomed just as warmly. For drinks, we ordered a medium vanilla cappuccino and a caramel latte. The cappuccino packs a punch with four shots of espresso, but somehow manages to be both bold and incredibly smooth at the same time. The caramel latte was equally delicious and nicely balanced without being overly sweet. While Lola offers a variety of hot breakfast options, we decided to stick with pastries. The cheese danish was flaky with just the right amount of sweet. The blueberry scone was moist, flavorful, and loaded with blueberry goodness. Between the friendly atmosphere, excellent coffee, and tasty pastries, it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. Lola feels less like a coffee shop and more like a gathering place for the neighborhood.

Fantastic Atmosphere and Workspace in Midtown, but Mind the Peak Hours…read more My friend and I visited this cafe on a mid-week afternoon looking for a productive spot to get some remote work done, and it proved to be an excellent choice. Logistically, midtown traffic in this area is a well-known hurdle, but the dedicated parking lot located directly behind the building makes arriving by car much easier. Inside, the design and atmosphere are an absolute vibe. The mismatched furniture, abundance of indoor plants, and view of the green canopy outside provide a perfect, refreshing escape from the summer heat. The menu is varied and high-quality. I ordered a matcha latte, which was excellent and refreshing, while my friend opted for a lunch sandwich and a latte. For true coffee enthusiasts, they also sell specialty house-roasted coffee beans retail, including a Guatemalan Antigua and another select house blend. The lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating tailored for focus and productivity. While the pricing is slightly higher than your average coffee shop, the exceptional atmosphere and amenities justify the cost. One quick tip for remote workers: The environment shifts noticeably after 4:00 PM. The space can become quite loud with patrons taking phone calls or conducting 1-on-1 meetings at adjacent tables. If you plan to work through the late afternoon, I highly recommend bringing a pair of noise-canceling headphones to remain undisturbed.

Icy and filled to the rim. I ordered the Short Rib Potstickers $19- As an entree. Toasted sesame, cilantro, ponzu. Delicious. A good amount of short rib in each potsticker and plenty of sauce. It is beautiful, spacious, and has two floors! The setting is clearly above your usual brunch spots and the booths offer a more intimate experience. My party and I were privileged to sit in direct view of the open kitchen. We got to see and hear the kitchen staff working together and communicating smoothly. We even heard the "hands" announcements like you see on The Bear TV show! I believe the food here was on par with the West Hollywood location, so points for consistency. Unfortunately, I have the same qualms for flavor for their dishes. I tried the short rib pot stickers, the tortilla soup, and the Bolognese pasta. I would say that the flavors were not especially strong for each dish. I think they each needed a pinch of extra seasoning to really make their flavors pop! Moreover, I tried my girlfriend's Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the cheese had no taste! Nevertheless, the dishes were beautiful. Lastly, I had a bit of an issue with our service. Our server passed by our table multiple times as we tried to flag her down to ask for the check. I think she could have been more attentive especially in the context of this higher-end brunch spot. With all of these factors combined, it's an overall 4/5 for me.
