Booking and preliminary details were pretty easy and done via Facebook. The owner showed up with one extra guy and they got to work unloading their gear. I discussed terms with the owner (not very well defined before the visit) and we came to a price pretty quick (base detail: $105). Before starting, the owner asked about any special parts, how 'this or that' detached as well as asking about any special concerns. They got to work right away, using their own jack and lift. The job took about 90+ minutes on a 7yr old bike that had been kept clean but never detailed (mostly black denim body parts & black components). It hasn't looked this good since the day I got it! This is from my wife's phone, but I'm writing it. AJ and his partner gave me priority after his first appt cancelled on short notice. My FXDC was rough. Rats used it as home under the cover and I didn't find out for a while. The spokes, rims and deep areas made my back hurt just looking at the bike. AJ was professional and ready to work. They knew exactly what to do. They came prepared. They got right to work and before I knew it, the bike was lifted, getting sprayed and being prepped to wash. AJ came out to detail my bike, but he either stole it and replaced it with a much, much nicer bike or is capable of some sort of voodoo magic to do what he did. He came to me, was able to bring and do everything he needed in the parking lot of my apartment complex, and finished in ~2hrs for only $75. I'm pretty furious with myself for not doing this until now, when I am looking to sell my bike, as it's not even the same color (went from sorta-grey-ish to actually black), and he even made the gas tank, which had the clear coat peeling off, look almost normal.
