    Mocha Latte & Cappuccino
    Michael R.

Tried this place for the first time and got two espresso based drinks to stay. Both came out quick and at the perfect temp where we were able to drink them without waiting forever for them to cool down. They were probably the best coffees I've had in the city definitely really high quality and would recommend to anyone nearby. Prices are a little high it was just under $15 for these two drinks but for a really good coffee it's worth it!

I met a friend on a weekday morning for coffee here, and it was really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are three bar areas with 2-4 seats in each so about three small groups of customers can hang out here at any given time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a Vanilla Date Iced Latte, which was delicious and not overly sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was nice and on the quieter side without loud music playing so my friend and I was able to chat without having to shout at each other.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back again.

    Butterscotch latte with Oatmilk

This is the first coffee spot I try in NYC and it didn't disappoint. I had the Butterscotch iced latte with oatmilk and it had a great balance of flavors. The Butterscotch wasn't too strong and the delicious, smooth coffee was the star. Their customer service was good and the drink came out quickly which is a good thing because this particular location was tiny and didn't have much seating. I will be visiting Black Fox again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This charming little coffee shop near Grand Central. It's quite cozy, with limited seating -- not the ideal spot for setting up your laptop and working, but perfect for a quick stop or a casual catch-up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer an impressive selection of unique drinks. I tried the butterscotch latte, which was smooth and not too sweet. My coworkers went for the s'mores latte and an iced matcha. The s'mores latte was topped with a toasted marshmallow -- a fun, creative touch that I'll definitely be trying next time!

Coffee and latte were great. Croissant that day is not crispy on the outside, so that was just ok. Great service. Small but nice settings. Just a place to enjoy a quick coffee, not so much work. Latte is good!

Tl:dr- Cute, woodsy, small, loud. Ordered a vanilla date latte and despite the steady stream of customers, my latte was delivered quickly. It definitely had more date flavor than vanilla but it was pleasant! Even got some coffee beans ground for home. The prices though were a little heavy. $7.50 for a latte and $24 for a bag of beans. There's plenty of standing space to catch up with a friend, and there's quite of selection of coffee based items and pastries. A bit pricey but if you're in the area, go for it!

    Espresso tonic

Awesome coffee shop that wasn't too far from my hotel. The inside is really modern looking and the barista was friendly. Loved all the branding inside the cafe. The espresso tonic was delicious, they have a very expensive and nice espresso machine too. The prices were fair as well for a coffee shop in the city and they had plugs in case you need to charge your devices. My almond croissant was delicious too. Really soft inside and flavorful. The area outside could be a little better, but its fine. I would still return and would definitely check out their other locations. Recommend.

Do not come here if you want a matcha - for $9 you will get a cup of almond milk and no matcha.

BUT, my husband and I recently took a trip to Paris and I also love pain aux raisins. To our delight, Cafe Bilboquet has those too, so my friend and I each had a small coffee and a pain aux raisins. The pastry was as good as any that my husband and I had in Paris! I've also had lunch here with a couple of other friends in recent months. They have a good variety of pretty authentic French sandwiches and some quiches, eggs, etc. Not inexpensive, but the food is top-notch. You order at the counter, then move up to the cashier, tell them what your order is and pay for it. If you're lucky, as we were around 9:45 this morning, you'll get one of the little round tables where you can sit and chat and relax; in good weather there are some tables outside as well; a lovely boulangerie or patisserie experience!

Upon getting closer to the door, I learned it's part of Le Bilboquet restaurant on the same block. It wasn't too crowded when I visited on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Every table except 1 was full, but most people were heading outside on such a beautiful day with their drinks and pastries. The cafe is very cute and French. They have so many pastries I couldn't decide, so I ordered a pain au chocolat and tea. They serve Harney & Sons teas. This is a lovely spot, and I'll return to try more.

I'd recommend that at least one person at the table order them, but the portion is pretty generous. :) The service was nice, albeit a bit slow at times. I always get almond croissants from coffee shops but wow this one has to be one of my favorites. The crunchy (sugar?) top coating and the filling were delectable. I got one of the seasonal spring drinks, called "Karl" which is a banana cold brew with cold foam. I don't even like cold brews since they tend to be super strong and pretty bitter, and banana can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed the hell out of this drink. It was a bit sweet, which I like, and the cold brew itself had a banana flavor when I had just expected it to come from the cold foam. I didn't sit or stay inside as I had to go to work, but there are a few (maybe 5 I think?) chairs along a bar counter on the side. Plants in the window too which I love. The barista was nice and made the drinks quickly despite being there by herself early in the morning (or at least I didn't see another employee). I recommended this place to my coworkers and can't wait to go back and try the other drink options!

Theres a shared bar table along one wall with high top chairs and menu options at the counter + a chalkboard with seasonal drinks. I left with a Balthazar Bakery box with 4 items. The 2 Everything pastries were filled with what looked like spinach and cheese. Incredible when reheated, but I wish they were served warm. The cinnamon roll was good, but not standout. The pain au chocolat was tender and flaky. Some of the seasonal drinks, like the Grinch, looked really good and I'd come back to try one, but I likely wouldn't swing for a pastry this time.
