Wind here on an early Sunday morning with my adult son after church. Plenty of available parking in the lot and the place was dimly lit when we entered. Only a few customers mostly at the bar area and my son and I sat at a high top table for two. The waitress was very friendly and we ordered the two pancake, eggs and bacon breakfast which we split the meal and only drank water so total bill $17! Really enjoyed the ambience so rustic with the wildlife decor and beautiful epoxy floors, also very clean tables, heavy leather menus and such comfy, thick cushion chairs.

Another review of Sunday 06/28. We sat at the bar and we ordered a pepperoni pizza and the mountain salad w chicken. Salad was fresh and delightful. For bar pizza not bad- pan style w surprisingly good crust, ingredients decent although, sauce on it was zesty and a bit tart....not our style....it was ok for sitting at the bar. Bartenders here once again are really good, friendly and professional . We ordered a glass of j lohr Cabernet and a Vodka cocktail. Atmosphere is comfortable. .

For one of those 24 hour neighborhood gambling bar, the food here is so good. I've been coming here for years. Wish we had one in our neck of the woods so we could eat there more often. Atmosphere, staff, food, prices...it's all great. A must order is the Cowboy Ribeye steak entree; so good! Keep an eye out for specials.

A friend of my husband raved about this place so we decided to give it a try. Went to dinner around 7:30 pm on a Saturday and were seated promptly. Although this place has an active bar with poker machines, there was no hint of cigarette smoke when we were there which was a huge plus. My hubs ordered the baby back ribs and I orders the hanger steak with a side salad. He also had the French onion soup. There was no complimentary bread so we also ordered the garlic bread. The food was good, not great but the overall dining experience was nice. Everything as tasty, and I liked the garlic bread which was pretty basic. My hubby said that the ribs are better at Ellis island, but he ate them all. The hanger steak was a bit chewy but it's not filet mignon right? The ambiance of this little place was intimate and had better quality ingredients in the dishes than other bar/ video poker places use. The service was fairly good and the bar did not skimp on the whisky in my whiskey sour. The place is a quiet alternative to the village pubs in the vicinity and offers up some really good dishes that are easy on the wallet, especially on Tuesdays. We definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.

This is our second time here. The first time we visited, the food was excellent I had the fish and chips, and they were great. This time, I ordered the Blackened Ahi & Watermelon Salad, but unfortunately it was overdressed. I wish I had asked for the dressing on the side. It was disappointing, since the salad was too heavily dressed to enjoy.

I've come here many times. It's Easter and I was served a horrible prime rib. The rest of the meal was ok. I asked for medium rare. Look at the picture. I took the picture after I turned it over. This was a rare miss. They took it off of the bill. Looks like it sat under a heat lamp all day. At least dessert is always good.

Perfectly cooked Beyond Burger (No cheese) and delicious Fries!

FIRST TIME IN Was not planning to come here so I was kind of moody--The Steakhouse I had chosen is closed for renovations and I was like, UGH, Now what but realized Black Mt Grill was down the street somewhere, could not figure out where by memory so we drove past it but decided to swing back, its not ON Eastern but off to the side of Walgreens or CVS (Cannot remember) Anyways, it was nice inside, clean, well lit, homey--The hostess was patient with me as I hurt my leg and was slow. The Booths are super roomy and comfortable, the tables move which is great when you are hurting and need to move around a lot. I ordered an Iced Tea w/lemon and a Beyond Burger-No cheese of course. It was well cooked, delicious, flavorful. I also got fries, these fries are the best I have had and I am posting this next part just for me because I read my own reviews to remember what I got/what my experience was just in case it's a while in between visits. GET THE FRIES. CRISPY, LIKE BEER BATTERED DELICIOUSNESS. They also had a buy 1 get 1 free special going on so my brother who ordered a Chicken Pesto sandwich got it for free. The only negative for me is that I asked for a To go cup for my Iced tea as to not waste it and they didn't have that... I have been in some really nice Italian restaurants and even they have to go cups so I found that odd... And my brother left his glasses on the table and the waiter ran out and caught us at the car, that was pretty nice of him to do! We will be back--They have an angel hair Pomodoro on the menu and fish and chips (I am a Pescatarian--so fish, eggs and Plant Based) so that sounds good. Oh and they have breakfast and Id like to try that. :)

This was my first visit after living in this neighborhood for 8 years! Well, it won't be my last. I invited a group of friends to join me here for dinner, which was a good decision. The menu had a good variety, the service was excellent, the setting was comfortable, and there was a low noise level. Parking was good. I made reservations, and it helped get us seated quickly. I ordered the Crab-stuffed Halibut with rice and broccoli. The Halibut melted in my mouth. All my friends gave a 5-star rating to their meals, too. The restaurant chef did a fine job serving the beautifully prepared and presented dishes.

Recently, I had dinner with my family at this restaurant. We ordered the Truffle Fries, Black Mountain burger, Chicken Panini, Shrimp Scampi and Crème Brûlée. Everything we ordered was delicious! Sarah, server was attentive and friendly.

    Watching the Golden Knights
    Jacqui C.

Went to Black Mountain Grill on a Friday afternoon to attend a Golden Knights watch party with one of my local meetup groups. How have I driven past this place so many times before but have never been inside? This is a very cozy neighborhood bar and grill that's perfect for watching the Golden Knights games and all other sorts of games. We had our own section of the restaurant reserved for our meetup group, which was in the back near the entrance to the patio area. This section here had a perfect view of the TV to watch the game, but one complaint that we had was that our table was directly above the AC and it was freezing. By any means I am not a huge day drinker, but I ordered a Bellini cocktail to start off with, which is a mix of peach schnapps and champagne. Some ladies in my group ordered a chocolate martini, which is literally chocolate milk with alcohol and a drizzle of chocolate syrup inside. As much as I liked my Bellini cocktail, I could only have one because I drove here. I was interested in having a late lunch here but didn't want anything too big, so I ordered a pepperoni pizza for myself. Complimentary bread with butter was also included. There were a few other dishes that made an appearance, but the only one that I can remember now was the French Onion Soup. The pizza was good but it was a bit greasy on the bottom. They have a happy hour, which runs from Monday-Thursday from 2-6pm at the bar and at their lounge area, located on the second floor I believe. I really enjoyed Black Mountain Grill and I would like to come back here next time and join them for happy hour. Also, our Golden Knights won the game! Woot!

Take out order of ribs with a side of sweet potato fries.

We have dined there in the past and have always sat at a table but we came in on a whim and there was only bar seating, which was fine. But the girl bartender (Annie??) was extremely mean and rude to us for some reason. We were polite, didn't complain about anything, didn't ask to modify our food at all and left over 20% gratuity. When we asked questions she talked to us like we were stupid. Everyone else was outstanding. The guy with the braids and Frank were awesome and the Sommelier was really cool and was passionate about his wine list. My fiancé and I are both industry vets and we understand that sometimes you aren't always in the best mood but this felt oddly personal. Again, we have no idea what we did wrong. The food was exceptional. Some highlights are: Oxtail hummus: The best hummus I've ever had and the oxtail was cooked to perfection. Oysters: we did half and half of both options and they were both great and super unique. Banh Cuon: Usually made with pork, they use duck and it is awesome. The sauce should be bottled. Octopus: Perfection on a plate. Passionfruit dessert: So, so good. Perfect way to end dinner after some spicy elements in the food. Pandan cocktail: One of the better drinks I've ever had. I liked the vibe and atmosphere right away. We came in on a Wednesday night as a party of five, and the service started off strong. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and our server was friendly and helpful. They recommended a few drinks and food options for us to try, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, things started to slow down after that. It took quite a while for someone to come back and take our order, and then it took even longer for the food to arrive. At that point, my first impression was definitely starting to change. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert, and while it was delicious, we once again had a long wait before it came out. Unfortunately, waiting for food and drinks became the trend throughout the night. As far as the menu goes, there was a good selection of food and drinks. I went with the Cobb Salad as a wrap, while the rest of the group ordered the fried pickles, nachos, and the Eureka! American Burger. The fried pickles were a hit, the nachos were pretty good, and everyone enjoyed the burger. Overall, I liked the atmosphere, menu selection, and the food we tried. However, considering the prices, the service didn't quite meet my expectations, especially for a Wednesday night. The long waits between ordering, receiving our food, and getting dessert took away from what could have been a much better experience. I'd still be open to coming back because there were definitely some positives, but I'd hope the service is more consistent next time.

I visited Black Sheep on a Saturday night with a friend and, although the restaurant was…read moresurprisingly quiet, we had a really great meal. We ordered the Imperial Rolls, Salmon Skin Tacos, Butternut Risotto and Bao Buns. The Imperial Rolls were crispy and full of flavor, and the tacos were delicious. The risotto was a generous portion and very rich, so we couldn't finish it--but thankfully we were able to take some home! The Bao Buns looked amazing and came with shrimp chips, but by then we were way too full, so we each took one home to enjoy later. I had a Riesling and my friend enjoyed the "As You Wish" cocktail. The vibe was cool, with a nice bar area, and our server Kayla was wonderful--friendly, attentive and welcoming. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner with great food and service!

The Black Sheep - Fried white trout in almost an au jus sauce. Very savory, but maybe a tad too salty.
