I wanted to give it a 5-star... A favorite of my family and friends for 20 years. Consistently great service, a warm atmosphere, non-smoking, friendly staff, and a good menu selection. The atmosphere is casual mountain lodge, with a dining room and patio, but the bar is the primary focus, with gaming and fun bartenders. Dining is elevated casual (recommend business casual dress, but many go in shorts and t-shirts). Parking is easy and close but can get busy at the dinner hour. Reservations are recommended for Fridays and Saturdays. Menu selection is pizzas, pasta, salads, steaks, some chicken and fish dishes. They make amazing, homemade soups, and I enjoy the chicken Marsala. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because they could refresh the menu items. I say, consider some of the appetizers (replace the portobello mushroom dip) and maybe the stuffed chicken dish. It just needs some new and different menu items. The breakfast is good too, but maybe consider elevating it for brunch on weekends. We will continue to be regulars. read more

It's a very big location located in the the hills of Henderson... The chicken wings hands down have to be some cod the best wings out here so far... What a great little gaming bar and grill! My friend Jim took me here for dinner last night. It was a casual but upscale setting, dimly lit and welcoming. There was a great vibe, lots of happy people mingling and many helpful employees. The food was really good. My friend had the ahi tuna salad & I had a margherita pizza. Both were very tasty! The dressing on the salad was sweet & complimented the meat well. The pizza was thin and strong with garlic, but delicious. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. read more

It was actually our anniversary and if I'd known the ambience, I would've probably chosen somewhere else but it was fun. We made the best of it when it comes to the food that's a bit different. A solid option for a slightly upscale gaming/bar/restaurant! These are a dime a dozen in this area. A bar, that is also a restaurant, and has some bar top gaming. Most are just average at best with typical bar food. Black Mountain in my opinion does everything quite well! I stopped in for breakfast about two weeks ago as it's sometimes hard to find someone open early on the weekends for breakfast. Upon entering I was impressd with the beautiful interior with it's mountain lodge setting! I ordered the poor man's benedict which was a biscuit split, with sausage patties, eggs, sausage gravy, cheese, and about anything else you can think of! The quality of this dish was spot on, the flavors were plentiful, and overall brought me back to my days of living in the South! The coffee was surprisingly excellent as it seems it is also hard to find quality coffee at these establishments. The Black Mountain Grill has slipped since my last visit a couple of years ago.. Black Mountain Grill Service & Ambiance: The ambiance is that big cabin resort feel complete with wooden wall decor, stone fireplace and all the furniture in wood. There's plenty of seats and a full service rectangular bar makes it a great place to watch sporting events. The service has always been great on my visits. The servers were friendly and checked on tables frequently. Black Mountain cuisine: In previous visits, I would kind of stick to bar food plates: Cheeseburgers, pizzas and hot sandwiches. Never had any issues and dishes were pretty tasty. Recently we stopped by for breakfast plates at lunch time. My Steak & Eggs was pretty disappointing. The steak was maybe 6 oz tops but looked 4 oz. It was cooked way well beyond medium on this visit. Their was an abundance of potatoes with this plate which was nice. I think your best bet here is to come for the bar food and the booze. This is our favorite local haunt. I've reviewed Black Mountain Grill on a couple of occasions, and the best part is that every review has been super positive because the service is always exceptional, and the food has always been outstanding. There were 3 of us tonight, and we started with appetiters which consisted of the ahi shashimi, the shrimp escar go, and then the entrées, which were the Black Mountain Burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, with fried egg, the miso pork chop and a small pepperoni pizza with extra cheese for my wife, which were all exceptional. For dessert, we had creme brulee and an oreo chocolate cake, which were divine as well. We come her a lot for ambiance and neighborhood vibe. Plus, winning occasionally on the video poker machines doesn't hurt either. The bar staff is very attentive and friendly as well, so we'll be back to make another appearance again soon, so until then, bone appetite! read more

Nice 24/7 spot in Henderson. They have a full bar where you can play slot games, they have seating areas not in the bar and they have a whole section away from the bar. I noticed they also have an outdoor area not sure how many tables are out there though. The food has always been delicious and of quality. I will never go to Black Mountain Grill again. After years of making Black Mountain Grill my go to place....usually weekly......sadly the change in management has made it impossible to continue dining and gambling there. The music has become intolerably loud and the food portions and quality have declined. The new management has installed "rules" that make it uncomfortable for their clientele. service animals are no longer welcome there, so for people who depend on them.....go somewhere else. Don't plan on having a large party there because a group of 8 or more cannot get a reservation. The manager is uncooperative, although he smiles and pretends to care, but walks away without correcting the problem. The clientele is mostly older, but he seems to cater to a younger group which is nonexistent there. Ate here last night and was very disappointed. Ordered Chicken Piccata thinking how good it was the last time I ordered it. Damn I was disappointed. The chicken resembled a hockey puck, thick and round. It was deep fried like a chicken sandwich from Popeyes. It had white gravy with 4 capers on top. There was a cold raw lemon slice on top. The gravy reminded me of breakfast gravy that is traditionally put on a biscuit. Zero lemon and caper flavor. Green beans were barely blanched, had zero flavor and were cold. My wife had bourbon glazed salmon and broccoli. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was moist and flavorful. The broccoli was well seasoned and had a butter glaze. Obviously prepared by a different chef than my meal. The cook who prepared my meal is obviously lazy and does not care what kind of meal he presents. He really needs to find his passion for food or go back to Popeyes. read more

I was visiting my elderly parents in Henderson Nevada, and they took myself and my daughter, to this delightful restaurant, on Sunday evening February, 25th, 2024, at about 5pm. It is a restaurant that they enjoy and frequent. Upon walking in, I found the ambience very nice, soothing, and even romantic. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors and to the right, at a large corner booth. The service was prompt and friendly. My questions about the food were thoroughly answered. My daughter tasted her cocktail and it was strong and tasty. Not watered down at all. Everyone loved their food! The recurring comment was that the food was seasoned and not bland! I had angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. It had a piece of seared seasoned salmon on top. I also ordered a generous side of spinach which was also nicely seasoned! My only improvement would be for the waiters to slow down just a tad, in order to fully listen to what their customer is saying, instead of turning and walking away before they are completely done speaking. The service was also excellent as always. She came around a number of times, but not too much. She was a kind person that I feel cared. The only item that bothers me is that if is too dark. Bartenders love their regulars and vice versa. As a new customer, you'll get average to below average service at the bar Good liquor selection but parsimonious pours on two of my three visits so far. On one occasion, rocks bourbon pour couldn't have been more than 1 Oz. Bar is neither friendly nor unfriendly. All customers are buried in the gaming and never look up except to exchange pleasantries w the bartenders, but only if they're regulars. I've ordered the Angel Hair pasta twice and both times it has been overcooked and mushy. Beer selection is solid and it's served cold Cleanliness a B- overall. Bathroom is ok. In summary, if you're a short drive away and want to play electronic games at the bar, drink a cold beer, eat an app, avoid social interaction, evolve into a regular without succumbing to a loud, smoky dive w microwaved starters, and you're not into music, this is your place.
