Just left this place and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Service is horrible; and they are like robots with NO customer service experience. The food was not impressive at all (McDonald's has better burgers, and I don't even like Mcdonald's). A gentleman with a cane fell on the floor, because the employee was mopping and the staff didn't bother to help him up. If I could give a minus star I would give them a -4. read more

We had been wanting to try this place for a while, but are sad to say we were pretty disappointed. Not only did our food take a long time in the drive through, but the burgers themselves were pretty bland and the buns were very dry. I went to Blake's and ordered a green chili burger and fries.... The girl that took my order told me they were so good and juicy when I asked her opinion because it was my first visit. I sat down and noticed that my order was complete because I saw it sitting on the side counter waiting to be servered. I started to wonder if it was my order because it just sat there getting cold, finally the girl that was sweeping the restaurant floor went into the kitchen area where my burger was calling my name and she finally delivered it to me. The fries were cold and the burger sat between a stale bun, the burger was barely visible and had no taste at all. The green chili came from a can and all I tasted was mustard. This chain is a recent arrival in Tucson, so we thought we'd try it. My wife ordered a small size burger, can't remember the name, and I had a regular Lottaburger with cheese and green chili's. They were OK, but the lettuce and tomato were minimal. The buns were dried out, or stale (see photos), which rendered the overall impression as negative. The chili's were hot, but thankfully they put very little of it on the burger. Seasoned fries were good. The chocolate shakes were thick, too thick for a straw. Ask for a spoon. Bottom line is you'd be better off at Culver's or In-N-Out. read more

First time I tried lota burger was in New Mexico and was delicious. I ordered the lota burger with green chile and cheese and added bacon and the burger was greasy and salty and couldn't taste anything else. Their breakfast burritos are good but you do have to wait a long time to get order. Whataburger has a better green chile burger than here. read more

First time they handed me one burrito in a bag and charged me for two and the when i told them i had oredered three they told me they had only charged me for two so i paid for the third..then i get handed only two! Went for lunch yesterday. Hubby had the Hatch Chile Cheeseburger. He liked the kick of the chile's but said overall the burger was average. I wanted grilled chicken tenders which they do not serve. So I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, took off the bread and the overload of mayo and just ate the tomato and chicken. I will not go out of my way to go to Blakes again. Lotaburger is amazing! Like most good things in life... you have to be patient. Wasn't there a ketchup commercial about that years ago? Yes, Lotaburger is not (and probably never will be) know for speed, however, you get a great burger and the orders have always been accurate (in my 35+ years of enjoying their burgers). Heck, I am mostly vegetarian and vegan a few days a week, but I cannot resist an Its a Burger with green chili and cheese. The Frito pie is great too! read more

Husband really liked his Lotta burger. My plain burger with mayo was just that, nothing special. The bun felt a little dry. Onion rings were really good though. Chili cheese fries weren't too bad. Thought that I would try this place for a breakfast burrito, since they had a huge sign proclaiming the "fact" that they had the best burrito ever! OK. When I pulled up, I saw that they included hash browns in their breakfast burrito, which I do not like. I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese and green sauce burrito without hash browns. When I ate it 15 minutes later at work, the tortilla was totally soggy, the egg was fried instead of scrambled and the cheese was super low quality. To compare this to the other burger places that have been around for years is saying you know nothing about burgers. There is only one place in Tucson that is better and it is not on River Road. As a native New Mexican seeing that they brought Blake's to Tucson was great. I was so excited to have my husband try the LOTA green chile burger. It was okay.. not like NM at all. The burgers were not as big as they are supposed to be and they left all the seeds in the chile and you are not supposed to do that because it can be to hot to actually enjoy. It wasn't to hot for me because I'm used to green chile but it was unenjoyable for my husband. They seemed very backed up and they were pretty much like robots. I am going to take my husband to the Blake's in NM and show him that they are different and WAY better. I guess something are not meant to be a huge chain thing. I have tried Blakes twice for breakfast burritos and was very impressed. You get a meal plus. The size is better than average and the burrito is made fresh no off a warming line food. The taste was very good and I love the option to get the Hatch Green Chiles instead of red/green sauce. read more
