I went to Dr. Blash for most of my life! Dr. Blash is kind and ethical which is hard to find in the industry. The hygienists are gentle and intentional to remember you. However, there is a new lady at the front desk who answers the phone and checks you in as of maybe a year or two ago that is very short with you, insensitive and rude. It's unfortunate that she is the one people need to interface with to get the quality service Dr. Blash and his medical staff provide. I left this dentist because I moved but the lady at the front was very mean to me when I called in advance to tell her I might be 10 minutes late to an appointment due to traffic (I would have understood if she told me nicely I would need to reschedule because I understand it affects the flow of the day for them) but instead she was very curt and said in what felt like a passive aggressive tone "Even if you're a minute late you're going to have to reschedule. So what do you want to do?" I ended up just canceling and decided to find a dentist closer to me even though I was willing to travel to see Dr. Blash. It's unfortunate this is the way my time ended at this office especially since I had been going there since I was a kid. My family still loves this dentistry but has had similar issues with the lady at the front. I only took one star off for her attitude but I would have given 5 stars for Dr. Blash and his staff! read more

Well where do I begin. Dr. Blash replaced a Bridge a few years ago. Last fall I went to a dentist near my new home and upon examination, he told me I had open margins. I went back to Dr. Blash this May and he rolled his eyes when I told him what the other dentist said. He then looked at the x-rays and told me it's because I don't floss. I floss every night, throughout the day I use a floss picker and I brush my teeth 3 to 4 times a day. Dr. Blash said he would put a filling where the open margin is because my insurance will not cover a new bridge (they only cover them every five years). I went to a new dentist and that Dentist was going to do a new bridge for me. When I went to my next appointment the Dentist took the bridge off and the back tooth was completely rotten. The smell and the sight of it alone was disgusting. The Dentist had to drill off all of the rotten tooth and then all that was left was barely anything at and below the gum line. Therefore, the tooth needed to be removed. The Dentist could not pull that tooth out because there was nothing to grab a hold of, it had to be drilled and poked, eventually the tooth came out. So now I am missing two back teeth. The front tooth was also rotten, that tooth was also drilled to remove the massive decay. Now I am left with a little stubble. An impression was done for a crown for the front tooth. Although I'll still be missing two teeth in the back. I have always taken pride in my teeth and oral hygiene, yet now I am disappointed and feel like a toothless bum!! The extra pain and agony I had to go through (not to mention losing the tooth) is very devastating and humiliating. Had I'd let Dr. Blash just do the filling at the open margin like he suggested, I probably would've eventually died from heart disease because the massive infection on the tooth would have been trapped, causing the infection and bacteria to go straight to my heart. I am lucky to be alive!!! I have attached a picture of what was left of the back tooth after the majority of the decay was drilled away. I'm going to have to get dental implants now for 2-3 teeth and don't know how I'm going to pay for them.WARNING THE PHOTO IS DISGUSTING AND DISTURBING. IT IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY!! read more
