I made a dinner reservation for an old friend and I to reconnect and from the moment I walked up, the server for the evening, Anthony, was so kind and welcoming and kept that same energy throughout the dining experience. I'd checked out the menu online beforehand, and so I knew what I'd get, but my friend was running late, so Anthony was kind enough to bring me a cup of tea while I waited. Once she arrived, I ordered the brussel sprouts as an app. Truly delicious, this appetizer is the definition of umami. Bitter, savory, sweet, sticky, and the sauce was something wonderful to indulge in. They also accommodated my request for no bacon, as I don't eat pork, which I appreciated. As an entree, I ordered the garlic noodles with salmon as an add on. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MEAL! The garlic noodles were so flavorful and saucy, but not overcooked (which I find happens in a lot of restaurants who serve garlic noodles). The salmon was cooked with crispy skin and was really a textural sensation! I wanted to clean my plate, but the portions were so generous that I packed up some of my brussel sprouts, half of my salmon and garlic noodles and had enough for dinner tonight. A very very solid find. We stumbled across this place after not wanting to wait for the din tai fung waitlist at nearby century city. I walked in based on reviews alone, found easy meter parking for a weekend night although it was already a bit late. I was a little hesitant seeing "asian/Indonesian inspired" menu items given its Beverly Hills and all the servers were white.. but upon further research, the head chef Pearl Steffie is not only a model but Asian American (according to an article by Shoutout LA)! She is not included in the About Us tab of the restaurants site, which should be added imo. This made me feel a lot better regarding the menu and who was behind the concepts/what I would be signing up for. We went with the cowboy burger medium rare, sweet potato fries and garlic noodles + chicken. Everything was seriously so good and flavorful. Garlic flavor was definitely intense but perfect for garlic lovers. A bit on the pricey side, but you are in the Hills. Intimate lighting and small dining room makes it perfect for an elevated date night or anniversary if white tablecloth restaurants aren't your thing. I went here with two friends for lunch. A lot of side parking :)) Food was delicious! We got the peach salad, but it's not in season so they substitute it for pear and it was perfect! The shishito peppers tasted great but this particular batch was too hot for my abilities. The Blasteran Burger was perfectly done medium and delicious and the fries were phenomenal.
