Great experience and food today at the Legacy location. I've tried the downtown location multiple times and the food was good, but the service was less than desirable. Today, our waiter was on point and the manager even stopped by to ask what we thought of the beer. The Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar was a great recommendation by our waiter - it is a smooth brown ale with a nice nutty flavor. For lunch, I had the jalapeño Polish sausage which was also very good. It was not overly spicy and came topped with kraut and a rosemary mustard that made for a nice flavor combination. My mom had the beer battered cod with coleslaw and was pleased with her meal as well. The coleslaw is especially good - fresh and creamy. I had crossed this place off the list before, but will definitely be back to the Legacy location. read more

A friend recommended we dine here while I was in town for business. Amazingggg burger!! I had the Blatt Burger (with cheese) and a side of potato salad. It was excellent. You can definitely tell that it is from scratch and very fresh. I spied the traditional margarita on their extensive cocktail/beer list. My server warned me that it was tart and very strong. Came here with my boss while on a work trip. Very cool and trendy decor. I am not a big fan of stools but we managed to get a seat at a normal table. Apparently you're supposed to seat yourself but we did not notice the sign. Our waiter was a delightful. I wish I remembered his name but he was very friendly and helpful with the menu. He did truly care about this place and making the customer happy. I ordered the "Cuban" it was very good and I was very satisfied but I wouldn't have called it a Cuban. It was pulled pork and kielbasa on a pretzel bun. Very tasty but some of the names/descriptions on the menu are misleading. Very good experience overall. Couldn't decide where to eat with my family for an early dinner, saw Blatt at Legacy, and decided to give it a try, since we had never been before. Thank goodness it was happy hour, we wanted to try everything (they have scaled down versions of entrées to try). We had pretzel bites, chicharonnes, the fish sandwich, pulled pork on a waffle, the falafel, and the mixed sausage on a stick. Sorry, can't recall all the exact names. Nothing disappointed! All very yummy! Kids meals were good too. My always hungry 7yo didn't ask for anything to eat for at least two hours after eating his burger. Solid food, service, drink menu and location. Coming from California, my complaint about Omaha is that it's so dead on weeknights and even Sundays. But when the rest of Omaha is dead, Blatt Beer & Table at this location is typically bustling with people. The ambiance is what you'd expect in a pub-- cozy, friendly and filled with familiar chatter. And yet, the restaurant is also trendy in its decor. The restaurant is able to combine comfort and warmth with all the wood and brick in its interior design, and yet also maintain a polished look by combining the industrial feel of metal accents and the hanging lights. You come in feeling like you know the place, after a long day at work and you just want to pull up a chair, have a drink and a good meal. And that's exactly what you do-- there's no waiter or waitress waiting by the door to seat you. We always start with the Border Frites. It could be a meal by itself. The pork is succulent and smoky. The fries are perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside, yet creamy and hot inside. The roasted green pepper slices and chopped cilantro tie everything together. The last time we were there, we also tried the chicharones and that was tasty, too. The dish I always get is the kale caeser salad with fennel, shaved Grana Padano cheese and Dixie fried chicken. I'm not a big salad fan, and I have never returned to a restaurant just to have a salad, but this salad is awesome. It looks simple, but all the ingredients complement each other so well. The greens are always fresh and crisp. Their citrus caesar dressing is the best I've had. With the fried chicken on top, which is always nicely cooked and season, it's a filling entree. The croutons, though, I never cared for. They're bland and a letdown compared to the rest of the dish. I typically just pick them off to the side. My boyfriend has had the Blatt burger and also the Dixie-fried chicken sandwich. He enjoyed both. We sat at the bar once. The drink menu changes from time to time. We were disappointed that they got rid of Old Rasputin the last time we were there, but we are hoping that it will come back. The Fruli Strawberry beer is refreshing and tasty. Their Guinness Bloody Mary, however, came out way too salty, and I sent it back. They gladly made me a new drink, which was a Pimm's Cup, and it was delicious. read more

Our group of three decided to hit up this spot about 8:30 on a Saturday night and it was definitely the place to be. Upon entering, you are greeted with a sign that instructs you to seat yourself which is great under normal circumstances but this place was packed. We made our way towards the back and spotted a table that had just opened. Score! Our server was very quick to clear the table and wipe it down. The service we received was excellent which speaks volumes seeing as they were very busy. He made sure to check on us often and never left us with an empty drink. After looking through the drink menu containing a good selection of craft beers, classic cocktails, and a few specialty drinks I decided to order the Forbidden Fruli. It was a nice mix of vodka and Fruli and the cucumber garnish really set it apart from anything else I've had. The food menu features lots of creative spins on traditional recipes (which I love). We split the Chili con Queso, it was a decent size portion for three to split. As a self pro claimed chicken and waffles connoisseur, I had to order their Chicken & Waffles. I am sad to report that I was pretty disappointed. The Dixie Fried chicken strips were excellent, perfectly cooked and breaded. However, the waffles fell flat for me. They lacked the jalapeño flavor I was hoping for and seemed pretty dry. I would've preferred the butter on the side because by the time our food arrived the butter had completely melted and the orange honey flavor did not come through. The gravy was decent but lacked flavor. I will say that the frites were delicious, crisp and fresh. I am a huge fan of hand cut fries and these hit the spot. The Gouda Ale dip was SO SO good, the Mustard sauce was a bit out there though. We were in Omaha from Raleigh,NC and happened upon Blatts. After reviewing the menu we decided to stay and try out a few of the unique offerings. Not that I am a Foodie but, the Deviled eggs were truly amazing and unlike any I have had before. My son quotes,"the best I've ever had!" There has been a great deal of thought put into the menu, offering a wide variety of upper scale food. The ambiance is very laid back with a 'happening vibe' that is inviting and fun. So... I've come to Blatt many times as I travel from KC to Omaha several times per quarter. I almost always stop for a beer for Omaha's best TAP room. The food has always been great. But tonight.... I had the Cuban! Oh my, my! Best Cuban I've ever had. Forget the traditional pork tenderloin (pierna), usually dry and chewy. Blast says, "let's use KC style low, and slow smoked brisket"! Damned, son! Brilliant. I subbed the dijon for chipotle mayo and I'm now ruined! Blatt is a great stop for me. Superior service (these folks know their beer!) Now, just bring back the pub peanuts! Luckily a server saw us wandering around looking confused and helped us out . We arrived with about 39 minutes left of happy hour. This is a great place for happy hour. Lots of drink options and snack options. I would recommend that you get the pretzel bites because they are AMAZING!!! The down south pork with jalapeño waffles is what my husband had and he loved it!! The pork has limited sauce but it has some spice to it so the limited sauce was perfect. I had the mixed grill and everything was great. We loved this place and we can't wait to go back. The service was pretty slow, but it was a Saturday evening so that could be the reason. It was fairly crowded on a friday evening but we a got a table. good selection of drafts which are fairly priced. Food was great (only wish the happy hour portions were a little larger). But I am a fan of the Beet burger and the Falafel. I would have given this place a 5 stars but for the drunk people who play the shuffle board and make sitting at the last few table very annoying. (not just me, the couple of ladies of sitting next to us, said the same). People who yell and scream 3 feet from your ear, really, don't make for a good dining experience.
