Came in and the place was SO hot. Eating hot pizza in a hot restaurant with no AC on a Bakersfield 100 degree day? Horrid. The big girl at the register wasn't friendly she did not want to be there. Bought a $3 glass soda and even it was warm! Guessing even the fridge wasn't working. I won't be back. I paid extra to have the build your pizza and she put 8 pepperonis on the entire thing. Literally gave me no toppings that I paid for. Cheap place.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the employees. We frequent Blaze pizza probably once a month when in the mood for personal pizzas. This allows us to get the dough thickness we enjoy most. We have been pleased with the pizzas for the most part. Occasionally we need to ask for more of a certain topping. The service is good and our pizzas are made pretty quickly. The libation is perfect for us as it has easy access to the parkway. We normally pick out pizza and take it home. I have never gotten around to actually writing a review for Blaze. Tonight's pizza was perfectly crispy and had the perfect amount of toppings. I tend to stay more on the veggie side of toppings along with olive oil as my sauce. My toppings tonight were pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, artichokes, bell peppers, basil and chopped garlic. Tonight's pizza was exactly the way I like it. I would continue to get pizza from Blaze.

12/21/2024: It's a little irritating when you are waiting for somebody to even acknowledge you, let alone take your order as they are horse playing with each other at the food prep counter. However, the food prep area was absolutely disgusting. Toppings all over the place, and a pizza cutter that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks.

4 stars for the pizza. Even tastes great reheated the next day. I always get lean meats and lots of veg. 1 star again for customer service. Just like last I was in there and walked out due to their rudeness a couple of years ago. Wasn't worth reviewing then and everyone was Covid stressed so I let it go. The pizza is pretty good. Although the service is terrible. I came into this location twice. The first time there was 2 employees. One working the oven & one making the pizzas. The woman making pizzas was very awkward and very slow. The second time I came in, it was the same situation. Two employees. I literally stood in line for 15-20 mins with only 1 group of three ahead of me, and their order still hadn't been taken. The 1 guy making pizzas was making online orders I believe but didn't say anything to us, like "I'll be right with u guys" or anything. He also seemed sick or like he was about to pass out as he walked away several times and even went outside for like 2 mins? All while there is a line of people that needed service. I left and got food next door. I will not return to this location. read more

Burnt crust. First girl was good. In the middle of making pizza, the other girl took over and piled all items in the center and I had to asked her to spread it out, then she burnt it so bad, it was unedible. Threw it out. No proper training or she just doesn't care. She boxed up my pizza and when I got home, seen the fire hazard. I have pictures. Sad, so sad. I buy from Blaze twice a week but not at this location. California Avenue in Bakersfield is great! read more

Had lunch here with my son yesterday, We ordered build your own pizzas, they were so delicious. The manager, Miss Denice is so sweet and kind, always has a beautiful smile that matches the beautiful pizzas that she creates. This young lady loves her job and it shows. I'm sure that her mommy and daddy are very proud of her. Keep up the good work girlie your customers love you, and they will drive out of their way to come to your place to eat read more

We love the super friendly service here. Art Lover pizza is my favorite (I always add banana peppers, so good) or build my own and they have lots of veg options and two GF crusts. All excellent.my husband and I have become regulars. Consistently great pizza and some new things on menu too. read more

We have not even tried the pizza but they have 5 employees working...Took us at least 30 minutes to get to the counter to order with hardly any line. My family was able to get Jersey Mikes and eat it before the rest of the family ordered blaze pizza. If you are going to eat here I encourage mobile order because those apparently get completed before the guest waiting in the store. Definitely not a quick dinner! Also, tables were dirty. I used to love coming to this location but things changed. The last two times i've gone have been a horrible experience. There are these two girls that work there that are such horrible workers. They don't listen and make you repeat your order multiple times because they are talking and super distracted. They still mess up your order no matter how many times you tell them because they don't pay attention. The restrooms are always missing toilet paper or paper towels. And one of the times I was there, there was a jersey mike's employee that was there and he was the employees friend and he came up to me while i was putting my leftovers in the box and said we're closed... like sir you don't work here why are you talking to me!! Very unpleasant and uncomfortable.Also the workers have a sections of tables they keep for themselves to keep a bunch of food and drinks. It looks very gross they should have their personal items in the back... I do not recommend this location. read more

The spicy pizza sauce was great. Loved that they put a ton of basil and fresh mozzarella, but avoid the KETO crust. Try the Cauliflower which is much more flavorful. They also have a thick crust that is really good for a couple of dollars more read more

The experience coming on back every time is truly pleasant. Clean tables and seats. Great customer service by the staff as always. Rich always gets it right! You can really tell his expertise on getting the job done to perfection, and all with the right attitude. The dough is never burnt here like other locations etc. That's truly why I come back to Blaze on 200 Coffee. Doing great team! Hello this is Charlotte. I went here the other day and when my pizza came out it was burnt.!! The service was terrible, they ignored what I wanted on my pizza.! I just recommended not going here at all. Blaze's Pizza, you are losing a loyal customer.! The food was booty. Within the 5 minutes I spent here I witnessed the purest form of service industry incompetence. We ordered for pickup. When we arrived, our food was not bagged and apparently they were waiting for us to arrive to pick up our cold pizzas before starting on our Caesar salad. They were out of forks. "Can we have some forks?" "Um... are there forks over over there?" "No just knives." "Uh ok I'll check the back." We ordered the artichoke lovers pizza. I've ordered both in store and online SEVERAL times from this location. I had one bad experience with an online order late in the evening once, but other than that, Blaze has been a staple in our household! Their new cauliflower crust is better than the original dough in my opinion. It bakes up crispier and is less tough to bite through. The KETO crust is a life-saver! It's $4 additional charge, but if you're Keto, it is worth the treat. The staff is very helpful and when we had our bad online order, they were very quick to remake our pizzas (of course after the food was home and we sat down to eat then drove all the way back). They are friendly and even know us by name now we are there so much lol!! 11/10 will return whether Keto or not! read more

Writing this review on Saturday, July 5, about an hour and 15 minutes after the Ridgecrest 7.1 Quake, and we are continuing to experience sizable aftershocks here in Bakersfield.... Thinking about how, just a few hours earlier our extended family was enjoying dinner at Blaze Pizza, never imagining how vulnerable and fragile we'd all be feeling shortly thereafter. Reminds me that we should always be giving and kind to those we love, and to enjoy every single moment. Blaze, thank you for a happy memory and good meal, enjoyed by all earlier, on a day we won't soon forget. Prayers especially for all those affected in Ridgecrest. read more

Let me start by saying I've been here many times and never left a review. But, I felt like I needed to today. I was greeted by a room full of employees. Eddie, Denise, Stephanie, Josh, Jacorey, Ethan, Richard and Petey. I had asked if they had new management because they all were very polite energetic and greeted every customer when they came in. In the past that was not the case. Stephanie was very polite and also wrote down everyone's name so I could give them a review they deserved. With Corona happening for the last year I feel like you don't find customer service anywhere anymore. So to all the employees I have named above, keep up the great work. This is our FAVORITE Pizza joint to to!! The staff are incredibly amazing! We been going here since it opened and became really friendly with David and Raul! Okuuuuurrrrr !! Visiting Bakersfield for the weekend from Los Angeles, we were looking for a plain cheese pizza for our kids. So we decided to dine at Blaze Pizza for dinner. I'm not sure what to write, but we had an amazing experience dining in at this location. All the team members are very happy, positive and enthusiastic. You will notice the service with a smile during the ordering process. We ordered 1 half pepperoni and half cheese pizza and a meat eater customized pizza with a large drink. Tawny, Yamilet, David, Richard, Valerie, Amy and Stephanie are passionate about their work. I wanted to recognize the entire team for making this a great dining experience for the family. Lastly, the restaurant is very clean. I would definitely come back on our next visit. 5/5 stars. read more

I love pizza! Who doesn't? Which is probably why there are so many "build your own" pizza places popping up around town. Blaze is definitely one of my new favorites. They have a lot of great options for crust and toppings as well. I got the high rise crust with toppings of spicy chorizo (vegan option) and pepperoni. I recommend adding pesto to your crust. They also have vegan cheese and crust if you are looking to be healthy. Strawberry agua fresca was really good and I appreciated how it wasn't overly sweet, they also offer mango flavored. Kitchen and dining area were very clean, staff was friendly, food was delicious. What more can you ask for? read more

Food was great as usual, but the older, heavy set Hispanic woman with a bunch of pins on her hat was rude as hell - very curt, when I asked for a box, she just shrugged and pointed towards the soda machine with an angry expression .Not sure what her problem was, but if you're that unfriendly, maybe don't work somewhere that requires you to interact with paying customers read more

This was my first time here. I ordered a make your own personal pizza and had s taco truck beer lagger. The pizza wasn't my favorite because it had chunks of garlic in the sauce. It's just not preference had nothing to do with the restaurant itself. The taco truck lagger was delicious. The staff is what impressed me the most. They were so happy and polite and were walking around cleaning tables and asking how everything was. I'll definitely come back. I'll just make sure there's no garlic chunks in the sauce I choose. read more

A little time goes by, employees are walking around the kitchen where they can see me, nobody coming out to ask how they can help me or to take my order. Some other woman comes in and kitchen staff immediately come to the front counter to help her. I got up to get in line now that some customer service is being offered but a family rushed in the line ahead of me to order. So I'm just standing there, with our pizza done and ready getting cold sitting up on top of their oven, not out on the counter where the sign says pizza is placed when it's done. While I'm standing there waiting for the customer in front of me to finish ordering and paying, another employee comes out to the checkout counter, makes eye contact with me but turns his back and starts sorting ranch. He could have easily just grabbed our finished pizzas and breadsticks and brought it out to me since we had already paid online, or maybe even just asked, "how can I help you?" Any of the many times he made eye contact with me, but he didn't. I was completely ignored. It was finally my turn to get some help. I asked where the pizza is kept once it's finished, so the server pointed to the top of the oven where they pulled our pizza down from. The pizza wasn't even warm enough to feel heat coming from the boxes when they handed them to me. Why I had to wait for others to come in and kick the kitchen staff into customer- service mode is beyond me, unless their kitchen staff is all racist? What other reason could this behavior be? Staff should be rushing to the counter to help every customer the same. So tell me why I was ignored the way I was, yet the kitchen staff rushed in to provide service to other people before me as soon as they walked in? This pizza isn't good enough to be eating it cold and hard after being treated poorly by staff. Get rid of the sign instructing online orderers to have a seat and wait if you're not going to assist customers sitting in your dining room.

This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years. So for the past 3 years, I have walked out of blaze pizza knowing that my food is going to be delicious, and I am always satisfied with the service I received. I am happy to be finally introduced to Richard and Denice. Richard and another coworker greeted me right away, and communicated that they will be with me momentarily. I have had good conversations with past employees, but I never caught their name. It is always a joy walking into this restaurant. It smells so good inside, always clean. It is nice knowing that every time I bring food home, friends and family always want a slice and afterwards they ask what I put on top of my pizza. On this day, Saturday, April 19, 2023, we were enthusiastically welcomed back by Denise, who helped Samuel prepare our orders. Added a picture to show how generous they are with toppings. No skimping here and, if course, the ingredients are always fresh. Some places we've gone, even other Blaze Pizzas in town, skimp or make you practically beg for toppings. But not at this Blaze location. And the pizzas are always cooked up just perfect - today Samantha sliced and served the pies. I just had to write a review for Amanda!! so before I walked into what Blaze I was having a rough day and and Amanda's kindness made my day. She was super friendly, she also took the time to tell me about the deals to save me money.. being that my son has been in the hospital for the past two weeks and I haven't been able to work. It meant a lot to me. Denise is the young lady that rang up my order. She was also very kind and sweet with the biggest smile. I just have to say these two ladies just really made my day and I'm so grateful.. If you are trying to figure out what place to take your business to I would recommend the one on coffee Road I have had many positive experiences here. if only all restaurants have people like them working, it would be a blessing. read more

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. I have only been going to one off California Avenue and I will keep going there. I go there so much so that one of the wonderful staff Denise even remembered my name. I am a vegetarian so she changes her gloves every time I go there just so there is no cross contamination. I have been given coupons for my whole office to use time upon time. There is always someone coming and checking on us to see if everything is alright. I am not a big pizza person but when I go there I can finish a whole pizza on my own. Oh! They also have so many options for vegetarians. Overall, they have amazing service and they keep it clean which is the number one priority for me. read more

First off anyone who leaves a review other then five stars ain't right. Blaze is blaze established and amazing. But for me the staff is really why I will be coming back to this location. Got to start off with the ladies well one lady Ms Brianna My man didn't know what he wanted and she almost was happy to help him ( I would just be annoyed lol) Jalen an up and coming young gentleman was getting down on cleaning and was grooving to the music while doing so Javin was the highlight of the night. Richard - Amanda - Isaiah made our visit pleasant enough to do this review. We love Blaze, we've been going for years. We used to frequent the Pasadena location on Colorado Blvd. Since moving to Bakersfield, this Blaze location across from Trader Joes has been our go-to pizza joint. This team was friendly and accommodating. They were also patient with our feisty four-year-old. The pizza was great as usual - but honestly, customer service rules! If I feel like my presence in a business is respected and appreciated, I am more likely to come back or recommend that business to people I know. So thank you Richard, Amanda, and Isaiah. Great place for pizza. I usually go to the California location. I went on a Sunday. One of the ladies made my pizza. I asked her to spread the pesto sauce. She spread it even and generously. Others can't do want she did because of the oil content. After she layered everything I wanted, it looked like pizza art. After it cooked, it didn't go flat like the ones I get at the California location. It was as delicious as it looked. My only regret is I forgot to ask for her name. Horrible service. I arrived at blaze and waited for at least 15 minutes while all the workers were chatting and using profanity. Very disappointed. There were also children around and they didn't even seem to care.The one who took my order (Raul) was not paying attention to my order what's so ever. I had to repeat to him over and over because was not paying attention. While he was adding all the topping on my pizza he was consistently talk to his other co workers (jaz, rich and two other ladies who I didn't get a name). I go to blaze pizza all the time and with this customer service it makes me not want to go back anymore. Very rude workers. read more

Everyone has different opinions, i love this location! Everyone at this location alway has a smile on their face no matter how busy it get. Aimee recognized us as soon as we walked in and asked me and my wife if we were the persons names she remembered and we said yes. She made us our salad even when there wasn't any up front and did not forget to give us our side orders unlike other locations we go to that we have to be asking Constantly and when we ask for our orders they give us attitude for something that we were supposed to get in the beginning. Blaze on Coffee Road is my favorite location! I been to the Blaze on Ming Ave and California Ave .. Aimewelcomed us in and right away he said welcome back guys ! That caught my fiancé and I off guard that someone would still remember us after seeing so many faces everyday. I visited blaze pizza today on my lunch. When I walked in they all greeted me and was very nice. When I was ordering I was helped by the employee Latoya. She was very friendly,polite and I loved her she was on her A game. Didn't rush me to order. I will most definitely be going back to this location had a wonderful experience with the employees. I love the workers here they are all kind!!! There was this one kid I think his name was Alex...he was sweet. He is a short little Mexican kid and he is so sweet. I forgot his name tho lol he told me to give him a shout out but I kept forgetting to write this review but sincerely every worker here is so nice. I pray that God richly blesses this business and saves all the workers and that they never get rude, greedy, or prideful In Jesus name I pray amen. I walked in at approximately 11:00am and no customers were in line. I immediately walked to the counter was helped promptly. I ordered my food and used a $5 off coupon and scanned my app for reward points. I was unaware that I had already accumulated enough points for a free soda. The cashier that helped me let me know I had a reward and asked if I wanted to use it. To which I happily accepted! Hands down best service of any pizza place in town. We had a terrible experience at another pizza place down the street and came to blaze. They were so welcoming and when we told them what happened at the other place they were very kind and genuine. The food was also amazing and they gave us a coupon for our next visit. Haven't been here in a while, but the pizza was still good. A variety of toppings, sauces, and after bakes, all for you to pick from. Since I couldn't remember what my usual order was, I took a little extra time at each station, but the staff was very friendly/patient with my slow ordering. From Abdiel at the sauces, to Parker with the meats and veggies, to Jesus at register, with Isaiah finishing off my pizza in the oven (plus some after bakes on the side), it was a well put together experience, as usual. read more

We are rather picky when it comes to pizza. Blaze is one of the few we really like because we can get it exactly the way we want. When we went today, there was no one in line and momentarily only one person behind the counter. Amanda was very nice and chatted with us while she made our pizzas. Another employee, Denise, arrived about the same time as a couple more customers and took over making our pizzas while Amanda started on theirs. Both women were very friendly and made our pizzas perfect. read more

Blaze pizza is really good! I was surprised coming from Chicago where pizza is a mainstay Blaze has it going on. One price great fresh ingredients and all the ingredients at that same price the staff is really friendly they actually act like they enjoy they're job what a refreshing change from most places, the restaurant is clean we (we went to the new one on Gosford).
