We were looking for a pizza place in the area and chose Blaze. My son customized his pizza with chicken, ham, sausage, bacon, and cherry tomatoes. He loved it so much that he ate 7/8 of the slices, and I ate the other one. The wood-fired pizza was pretty good, and you really can't go wrong. We got the regular size cup and filled them with lemonade and blood orange lemonade. Both were great, but the blood orange was our favorite. We drank several cups of lemonade. 2026 Worst PI day ever. Came in to Blaze Pizza excited to jump on the discounts for the day. Upon my arrival I was disappointed with the limitations that we were not mentioned in the ads. The famous build your own pizza (which usually includes any amount of toppings) was limited to 5 toppings. Keep in mind the different cheeses count as a topping. We went to three different locations on our trip, four separate times including the one in Cerritos, the one in South Gate & the one in La Palma. Camila was so friendly, she greeted us quickly (along with the other worker) & she asked us if we had allergies which none of the other places did. She also talked with us about her friend who is also gluten free & had to be careful where he ate & she told us about the 5 for $45 deal, which we ended up taking advantage of & none of the other locations told us about. I usually like the crispy dough at Blaze Pizza. This was my first time at this location and I probably won't be back. The service was terrible, it may have taken over 10 minutes to order 3 make your own pizzas. I think the problem was that all the employees were new, as in this was their first day on the job. They were all over the place in placing toppings on the pizzas. Took a minute just to spread the sauce. We got through all this and waited for our pizzas. Unfortunately the crust was not very crunchy but the pizzas tasted good. You have to ask for all condiments and a take out box. The machine prompts for a tip when paying which is absolutely ridiculous. They're doing their jobs which they are being paid. It's not a sit down restaurant, it's fast food. The employees were friendly but since it was all of their first day or two on the job, they were very inefficient and unsure of themselves. Not sure why this store has such a low review. We had a great experience with our app order. Our personalized pizzas were loaded with toppings! Our only negative was that the pesto drizzle was a bit oily. I would probably skip that drizzle next time since the oil was dripping everywhere after we took a bite. Besides from that, the pizzas were very tasty with a good crispy crust. The soda at the soda streamer was crisp and bubbly. We enjoyed our pizza night dinner. read more

Although we love Blaze pizza, it appears that not all employees understand when someone who requires gluten free it means the meal cannot be contaminated. Something as simple as not touching other food without changing gloves seems to be an inconvenience for some employees. Food allergies can be brutal on a person if precautions are not taken. Just went to Blaze pizza today on 8/8/2025 for a build your own pizza. The service was going good at first, so I gave them a 15% tip for a pizza and cola. Some guy worker took over the girl helping me out when building my pizza. I saw it burning in the oven while he was helping other guest. I stood quiet and noticed them making me another pizza to fix their mistake & the guy didn't tell me. After waiting more than double the amount of time then all the other guest is when I got my pizza. It looked similar, so I grabbed it & left kindly thanking them for my meal. I'm home now and this pizza tastes horrible, there's less spinach, idk if the 2 sauces I asked for our beneath the pizza & I think they forgot the sea salt & oregano. At first, I was shocked to see the overall rating, but after my first visit here, I could understand why Blaze Pizza in Buena Park (BPBP) was no buena. This Blaze Pizza in located in Buena Park Downtown (not Downtown Buena Park lol) on the north side of La Palma between Stanton and Dale. Blaze is situated in between Golden Bowl and Ono Hawaiian. In July, Blaze Pizza gave me a reward for any 11" pizza for $5, possibly to counter MOD Pizza's National Pineapple Day promo of a $5 pizza with pineapple. I was planning on visiting a teahouse nearby to take advantage of another deal and figured why not take advantage of two different deals on the same trip? Upon arrival, it took about a minute or two before one of the employees greeted me and asked what he could get me. I said I wanted the 11" pizza on regular crust. After selecting my choice of sauce, spicy red, as well as the cheeses, mozzarella and parmesan, he then asked me which toppings I'd like for both the meats and the vegetables. I like piling my pizza with every topping possible except for artichokes and anchovies, but since Blaze Pizza doesn't have anchovies as a topping, I simply said all toppings except for artichokes. I usually do this so they don't pile my pizza with too much meat at first only to realize I wanted even more vegetables. However, that employee who prepared my pizza piled on the toppings like there was no tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more toppings on my pizza, especially if it doesn't incur an upcharge, but I'm also a believer in the adage "Too much good is no good", one that I've preached in several of my previous reviews. By the time he finished assembling my pizza, it was like a pizza mountain lol. There was plenty of seating inside, especially booth seating by the wall. However, the seats had hard backs instead of cushions, which was a little peculiar. The first one at the near corner had one side as a booth seat, but the other side of the table had two chairs, one of which I sat at. It wasn't until I got my pizza that I realized I should have grabbed napkins by the pickup counter first because there weren't any napkins anywhere else. Not wanting to leave my pizza unattended with several other customers inside, I waited until after finishing my pizza before getting napkins to clean my hands. Blaze Pizza also has the words "Fast Fired" in its name because they cook the pizzas real fast. It was pretty fast, like no more than 5 minutes before the cashier called my name to let me know it was ready. Since I ordered "for here", he kept the pizza on the metal tray, which was a little warm to the touch, so I had to be really careful and not drop the pizza. The pizza was incredibly inconsistent. I understand with additional toppings on your pizza, the toppings don't get baked evenly, but some of the toppings still tasted like they were never even baked at all! A lot of the toppings had a rather unusual aftertaste that I've not experienced at any other BYO pizza places; like they were pretty grainy in texture for whatever reason. Some bites saw a ton of cheese, but other bites saw no cheese at all! And the spicy red sauce wasn't even that spicy anyways. There's a noticeable difference if you taste the two side by side when you order a cheesy bread, but this spicy red sauce tasted like the regular red sauce. I was this close to giving 2 stars, but after filling out a Tattle survey online, I got a call from their manager, who was apologetic and wanted to invite me back at a later time, which I think was after that manager had moved on, at least from BPBP. I still pressed on, hoping the pizza would taste better. It did, but the employees were sloooooooooooow as molasses. The crew members were chatting amongst themselves way too much even when there were a handful of customers inside trying to build their pizzas. Not only that, but I saw my pizza sitting at the counter directly across from the oven waiting to be cut, yet it took 5 minutes before a crew member yelled out my name signifying that my pizza was ready for pickup. I built the second pizza the same way as the first, but also sans banana peppers. I don't think I requested well done on my pizza the first time, so I decided to request well done this time. I don't think the pizza was that well done since it could have been crispier, but on the other hand, it would have been burnt in some places had the pizza been baked a minute longer. Luckily, the second pizza was a lot better than the first pizza that I'm willing to upgrade my rating from 2 stars to 3. The toppings were more evenly baked and flavorful, likely because they weren't stacked like the aforementioned pizza mountain. Rather, it was more like a pizza plateau lol. Yes, the ingredients were fewer. However, I prefer fewer, but tastier toppings on a pizza than more, but grainier toppings. I'm still kind of irked at the long wait time though. It took over 30 minutes! :O read more

It was a pleasant night with the intention of eating with my family at Blaze pizza until I encountered an employee that made this experience absolutely 180. From the jump, she had a hostile attitude that made us feel unwelcome and when she was making our pizza we noticed that she handled the situation with absolute disrespect, throwing the ingredients as if it was a bunch scraps being tossed around. The dough is raw, undercooked, and the pizza was made without any care or consideration. I've been a loyal customer at Blaze for over 5 years and haven't been treated this badly. Next time when you're considering hiring employees make sure they have better customer service and treat their customers as decent human beings. I will not be paying for something that is made so disgustingly. Please do better. read more

This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I came in excited to try the garlic pesto pizza, but everything went downhill fast. The food was bland and sloppy the toppings were uneven, and the whole thing looked carelessly thrown together. But what really ruined it was the staff. Three of the workers were straight-up rude and unprofessional. One girl actually handed me my drink cup with her fingers inside the cup. That was absolutely disgusting. I didn't say anything because I hadn't received my food yet and, honestly, I was afraid of what they might do to it. I just quietly threw the cup away. She also wiped her nose with the back of her hand and did not wash her hands afterwards The whole place felt unclean -- messy counters, poor hygiene, and zero customer service. I will not return to this location, the deal breaker was the rude employees. Advice is hire people that want to work. read more

Needed a place to eat after going to Big Air trampoline park. Thankfully this was right across the street. We were kind of all over the place, kids tired, and adults tired. We got there and I was the only one that knows how blaze pizza works. We figured things out, got the kids cheese pizzas, got a few veggie pizzas, and got my pepperoni and pineapple pizzas. After being so tired, this went down so well. We were all relieved to have good food in our stomach lol Service was good. I normally enjoy Blaze Pizza, but this visit was really frustrating. I came looking forward to a good meal, but my experience was awful. My pizza dough came out undercooked--raw in the middle--which is especially concerning for me because I'm pregnant and have to be extra careful about what I eat. When I asked for it to be remade, the girl at the counter looked annoyed and acted like I was being a bother. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I know the importance of keeping customers happy and delivering quality food--especially when there's a mistake. She did apologize, and the remake felt rushed and careless. The second pizza still wasn't cooked properly. but it was better than the first one. Just not how I would have liked it.
