Service is great. The staff is always helpful, and takeout times are prompt and precise. The food, however, can be inconsistent. Sometimes it is flavorful and well done, and other times it is bland and overly greasy. The best advice I can give is to stick to the pizza and choose marinara as your dipping sauce. Do not get the ranch. You will thank this review later. read more

Ordered online which was convenient. Pizza was just okay, pretty greasy and I ordered a large that was about the size of a Little Caesars medium. I also got their jalapeño poppers. They were just OK, probably cooked from frozen. A little disappointing because I've been here before and the pizza was better. read more

If you want to run the risk of getting food poisoning, this is the place for you! I walked in and I ordered one of their deluxe party pizzas. The cashier told me that they had a cancellation of a pepperoni party pizza and asked if I wanted that. I asked her how long ago was the cancellation and she told me about an hour ago. I thought about it for a moment and I told her I didn't want that pizza and I wanted a fresh one. She proceeded to tell me that it would be ready in about 20 or so minutes. I had the strange feeling as I sat in my car outside waiting that we were going to end up getting that old Pizza that was out who knows how long. So about 10 minutes in, I went back into the restaurant and the girl told me the pizza was ready. I asked if that was the pepperoni pizza that she offered to me earlier and she said no. I then asked her if I could see the old Pizza that she had originally offered me and she proceeded to tell me that it was thrown away. I then asked her I wanted to see the old pizza in the trash , because I didn't believe her. I believed that they just dressed up that old Pizza that was sitting out who knows for how long and was trying to pass it off as a fresh pizza. She then told me that a coworker had thrown it in the trash outside of the building so once again, I asked to see it and she said she didn't know where it was... so I basically confronted her and told her that that's the old Pizza but she wouldn't admit it . I asked for a refund which I got and then oddly enough, she still offered to give me the pizza! I refused it , not interested in possibly poisoning my family. At that point, I was just pissed, disgusted and had to make other dinner plans and decided to never return. We had been ordering from this pizza place for about the last six years and it's been awesome or at least we thought we were getting fresh pizzas but at this point who knows. We will not be returning to this pizza place and we go elsewhere for party pizzas. And if you want a really good party Pizza, it's a bit of a drive , but go to Big E Pizza in Signal Hill - totally worth the money and the drive and it is made fresh! read more

Review is for large group gathering* We opted for Pizza D'Amore to feed 15-16 people for a work lunch. We ordered one $38 Party Size Pepperoni Pizza, 28" which is cut into 50 squares and one $32 Family Size BBQ Chicken Pizza which was cut into 18 thin slices. We also ordered a full try of salad, which we could choose two large dressings with. It was the perfect amount of food for our group, and the prices were the best around. I appreciated the friendly customer service, convenience of placing my order over the phone, and accuracy of our order. The pizzas were tasty and fully covered with toppings. The salad had generous servings of toppings as well. Their website has a ton of specials including those for holidays, group gatherings, even daily! I would recommend Pizza D'Amore for your next group gathering! I look forward to trying more of their menu items in the future. read more

I want to start by saying that my review is based purely on the customer service experience I had at D'Amore Pizza, not the food. The food itself is good, but after my Valentine's night experience, I won't be returning. I visited D'Amore on Wednesday, 2/12, to order a party pizza and two heart-shaped pizzas for a work meeting we had on 2/13. While I was there, I also decided to order two heart-shaped pizzas for my husband and me for Valentine's Day, to be picked up on 2/14. I requested a 5:00 p.m. pickup, but the employee mentioned they only had availability at 5:30 p.m. I agreed, and she took my order, wrote down my name and phone number, and I paid for the pizzas along with a tip. When Friday came around, I had a lot of preparation for Valentine's Day. Since D'Amore is about a 20-25 minute drive from my house, I planned everything around the 5:30 pickup time. I arrived at 5:50 p.m. to pick up the pizzas, and the employee who took my order told me they would be ready in 15 minutes. I explained that I didn't have 15 minutes to wait because I had time-sensitive tasks to attend to back home. I asked for a refund, but was told I couldn't get one and that the pizzas would be ready in 15 minutes. I was visibly frustrated but decided to leave, drive 20 minutes back home to take care of what I needed to, and planned to return later. Once I finished my tasks at home, I headed back to D'Amore. After another 20-minute drive, I arrived at 7:30 p.m. I sent my husband inside to pick up the pizzas. He called to ask about the order, and I gave him the details. He came back to the car and told me they couldn't find it. I went inside myself, already irritated. A man behind the counter asked my name, and I told him, "Jessica." He said, "Oh, here it is," and I breathed a sigh of relief--until I saw him pull the ticket down and saw that the phone number didn't match mine. I told him, "That's not my order, and that's not my phone number." He showed me the ticket again, and I repeated that it wasn't mine. He went in the back, and the same girl who took my order came out and said, " In the chaos, they must have given your order away." I was floored. How could they have given my order away after taking down my name and phone number? And why didn't they notify me that my order was delayed by 30 minutes? At this point, I just wanted to leave after all the back-and-forth. I asked for the refund I'd initially requested and, after some time, was given it--after getting approval from someone in the back. Not once was an apology offered. I left the restaurant empty-handed and headed back home, another 20-minute drive. While I did get to enjoy the pizzas at my work meeting the day before, the way my order was handled left much to be desired. If they had my number, why didn't they call me to let me know the order would be delayed? I could have saved myself a trip and taken care of my time-sensitive tasks at home, then picked up the pizzas later. Every customer ahead of me was also told it would be another 15 minutes for their orders. I get that everyone wants a heart-shaped pizza on Valentine's Day, but they make these pizzas all year. They know how long it takes to prepare them, so why take more orders than they can handle? If they're going to ask for my information, why isn't it used when the order is picked up? I ended up wasting time, gas, and a 10% tip I forgot to ask for back. Communication and a simple apology would have gone a long way in this situation, but neither were offered. Rant over. read more

I had this pizza (8) ordered for adults & kids for my child's party. I always have leftover food for parties. It was ALL gone! My dad said "that's cause it was good pizza." It really is! I stopped by this place to pick up some pizza and dessert for dinner. I actually went to the other location first due to not so raving reviews about this place. The store entrance and waiting area is very small. No one behind the plexy glass counter. Waited a bit. Another two customers came in to pick up their order and someone magically appeared from the back for their order. It took me a while to decide what to get. I asked the lady the specialty. She said a large pizza was 7.99. I got a cheese for my girls. A deluxe for my husband and myself, last but no least a dessert pizza. Everything was ready to go in 20mins as promised. We drove home which was about 5mins away. Opened the box and tried the yummy looking pizza. Cheese was so yummy. The deluxe was a bit weird with the pineapple but loved the jalapeño kick at the end. The Nutella pizza crust wasn't all that but who can rate Nutella poorly. Overall, I feel the service could be more interactive. The pizza and pricing is delicious and fair. I would recommend coming here to try out their pizzas. read more

Had great experience here. Lady who took my phone order was very hello and courteous in helping me place my order. Prices are very reasonable and competitive vs large chain places. Way better pizza than the chains. Pizza was ready at time promised. I work at a large business close by, another large chain close by could never have the orser on time and one of the employees now very rude. Will definitely be ones of my usual places to order from. Great experience and great food. Made a large order online using their website which was easy to use and easy to pay through apple pay. Their website has good pickup deals too, which we took advantage of. The order ahead feature worked perfectly; our order was ready on time blazing hot, so we knew the food was fresh out of the oven. Pizzas are a delicious thin crust with quality ingredients. We tried the chicken parm pasta, lasagna and chicken Alfredo - all which tasted great and came with fantastic garlic bread. The potato wedges, cheese bread and zucchini were crowd favorites in our group too. Very happy we tried Pizza D'Amore. Needed a party pizza for a gathering last night and Pizza D'Amore did not disappoint. I ordered that and a $6.99 cheese pizza and a chicken alfredo earlier in the day for pick up @ 5:55 pm. The food was ready within the time alloted. The service was good. Ambiance was a small shop but they knew what they were doing. I ordered from this place for a surprise birthday picnic for my boyfriend and he LOVED it! It was such a great deal we got 2 small pizzas for around $10-12 each (the small is actually a lot omg it's so good and one is perfect for 2 people, but we got 2 to try the different flavors) We also got a 12 count Lemon pepper wings with the ranch and it was pretty solid!!
