I ordered a raised Pepperoni Lover Pizza (Raised & Well Done) and basically there is no cheese on this pizza on some locations and the box was so small that the top of the pizza was touching the lid and the cheese that they had was stuck to the lid. Look at the picture and see for yourself. I should have gone to Union Pizza instead even if the price is higher as I am always happy. This is just another case of getting what you paid for. Horrible. Great location, food was great. I am giving a 3 for a sanitation. Given our global pandemic and for the sake of safety for all, it would be great to see staff keeping tables clean and wiping down the parmesan/red pepper seasoning that random guests are using. Staff are friendly, I see them walking the floors but not much cleaning activity, at all. Tables inside and outside are not clean. I seen staff refill the lemonade at the fountain bar, but no wiping in that area. It's too many staff to not have people sanitizing on a consistent basis. Let me start by saying it was a busy Saturday dinner rush. You can order online or at the door. However, when you arrive it's chaotic no clear direction regarding the process. Nobody was behind the tables at the door to assist customers. Instead the customers were giving the guidance. What could have been done better? Have an employee or two wearing a headset, at the door directing the customer flow, taking names of customers picking up, taking orders and providing guidance. Create one line for the pick up orders and another for placing an order. Have at least 2 runners wearing headsets to communicate with front door staff. The runners can bring the orders to the customer/curbside and ring-up the in person orders. Now for my ordering experience. I had to flag someone to get the order cards. Then i had to flag someone to take my order cards. I ordered 2 pizzas with exactly the same toppings. One was perfect the other was missing about 1/2 of the toppings (see photos). This process took about an hour. I could have stayed and had it done correctly but I was hungry, cold and wanted to be home. This is my second time eating Blaze pizza, and this will definitely be my last time. I had surgery this week so I haven't really had an appetite until today. I decided to indulge in an 11" BYO pizza with tons of toppings...or so I thought. When my pizza arrived and I opened the box, I was already disappointed. There were barely any of the toppings I ordered, some missing completely. You can see in the picture exactly what was supposed to be on the pizza. When I went to eat it, it was already cold, the crust tasted like stale cardboard (not because it's gf ) and they literally put a squiggle of sauce on the crust. I'm NEVER one for wasting food, I think it's shameful, but this pizza was just about inedible. The garlic knots were burnt, but after picking off the charred bits they were tasty. The s'mores pie was good, the brownie was not as sweet as it could be. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - PART 2: 32/100 I've tried PizzaRev. I've also had MOD. Both were pretty good. Not to put pressure on Blaze, but I expected at least something similar if not better. Party of three, we were lunch starved after hitting a few stores across the street. This is a first time for the peeps I was with, so I had to explain how the whole concept works: build your own with as many toppings are you want, or order one of their signature pizzas. One went for the 2 topping and I, along with the other, went for the build your own. I also opted for a side salad. (For the record, I like having the option of dressing on the side or tossed with the salad.) We all liked our pizzas, no doubt. And we liked that we each had half of our pies leftover to take home. (It really is a lot!) But there are a few things I'd like to point out: 1. It would have been great if they had a list of the ingredients up front (instead of at the end.) That would give customers in line a better idea of what they want on their BYO once they get up front. 2. My crust was a bit undercooked. I was hoping it would have that extra crisp, but it was far from it. Each slice I pulled off was flaccid - even managing to spill out some toppings. That may be the reason why I couldn't eat more than a couple of slices. (But my intention is to pop it back in the oven at home for a 2nd meal.) 3. The salad dressing was under seasoned, but nothing the shaved parm cheese and croutons couldn't fix. 4. Someone in my party mentioned their meats are salty. I agree. 5. No anchovies?! Sad face... but since the meats we chose were already on the salty side, that may have been a good thing. 6. None of us were told about the finishes. They simply called out customers' names (when their pizza is ready) and nothing more. I only found out about this option while reading their menu as I chomped down on my second slice. Booo...I would have liked to have tried a couple! Service was alright, nothing to call home about. Average at best, but my experience with the other places were comparably better, so I'm not sure if I'd come back here. I ordered a vegan pizza on DoorDash and the delivery was very efficient thanks to Blaze and Dasher Dery. The vegan pizza tastes heavenly and divine. I love the vegan cheese as it is very rich (the most rich vegan cheese I have ever tasted my whole life). The mix of green pepper, mushroom and other veg is very amazing. If I could give the zero stars, I would. As the staff was adding the toppings to my pizzas, a roach started crawling from underneath the ingredients sign towards the cheese. The staff acted like it was nothing and continued with my pizzas. I left the pizzas right there. That's disgusting and they need to close and put a ten over the business. This was my 3rd time going to Blaze Pizza at this location. The previous times were great. Yesterday I stopped in between 6 to 6:15 and in all fairness, they were busy. It was a long line to order, my spouse and I love the pizza and felt it was worth the wait. I have some health restrictions so the gluten-free and vegan cheese options are the main reason I continue to patron this establishment. We waited in line for 20 minutes (15-20) got to the front and ordered. The young woman that took our order was Cordial and was doing her job. It was busy and all the employees were hustling. Her co worker who was preparing the toppings on the pizza (a guy with a tattoo on his hand) kept whispering in her ear while she was working. It was clearly not about work and was rude but I just ignored it. I only say rude cause I work at a restaurant and could see how a guest might think he was whispering about them. At one point he was leaning into her and if they weren't wearing mask I would have thought he was gonna kiss her. The only reason this is odd is cause everyone else is hustling and he kinda seemed like he wanted to just hang out. The young lady was kool so I wasn't really bothered at the time. When it came time to make my pizza the young lady said they were out of vegan cheese. Now we had been in line all this time. There was no sign, no announcement, nothing. She was clearly doing her job and I was pissed but I wasn't gonna snap at her. I could tell she didn't really know what to say and she said "I'm sorry". I don't believe in berating employees over something that isn't their fault. My spouse decided to still get his pizza. It takes him 4-6 mins to get it prepared. The guy that was preparing it was the wonderful whisperer I mentioned earlier. He barely acknowledged my spouse, he was indifferent, he was like "Is that all" and kinda of just threw the pizza together. Obviously he was more interested in having private conversations then working and to be honest it happens. Wouldn't even pay attention to it but for the final result. At this point we were there for about 30 minutes. I was trying to figure out what I was gonna eat and my spouse is waiting for his pizza to cook which was about another 8 to 10 mins. After about 10 mins my husband goes to the front to ask what was happening with his pizza. He was informed by one of the staff members that it was given away and that they would have to remake it. At that point my spouse asked for a refund and we left. Listen, I have a lot of room for errors cause I am doing the same job you all are. You just wanna know that someone cares. We were there for 40-45 mins with no pizza to show. Someone could have easily put a sign at the door and we would have left. The co-worker that was just indifferent is a lot especially when you have the attitude like "You are lucky I am preparing this pizza. Just tell me what you want and get out my face so I can get back to whispering and flirting with my co worker". To add insult is giving the pizza away after all that time that was wasted. People just wanna know that you care. You have a great product some of your staff need to understand taking care of the guest. I wanna add this part, with the exception of the whispering co-worker everyone in there was hustling and working hard. That is what made him stand out. We've been coming to this Blaze pizza locations for a couple of years now. Every time we come, this place is BUZY. The staff absolutely try their best to make to make the best job possible. This afternoon we had our 3 pizzas made by Torie (2 pizzas were had different toppings). She took her time and put a lot of LOVE into each of our pizza's. I rated 3 stars for the service since you do have to wait quite some time to place your order. 4 stars for their pizzas and the Cesar salad was really good. I wish they actually have an order form that we can fill out on paper and check off what we want. Similar to the online process. I believe this would keep the line moving a lot faster. It will help the workers work a lot faster if the orders are already filled out right in front of them. We really enjoy blaze! I hadn't tried this particular location, but its cool. It's a really cool build your own pizza place. We have tried a few variations. Their red spicy sauce is really spicy!! It's best to mix it with either their white sauce or the mild red sauce. They started offering the garlic pesto sauce which I haven't tried yet. Added a lot of cheese and veggies and they make them in front of you. After its ready you can also ask pesto drizzle! At the time I wrote this review, it was in 2019, I just finished it simply because life had gotten busy for me. I am not sure if the services from the employees working there are still lack lusting, however, I for one back in 2019 did not enjoy my pizza due to the employees talking about their customers way of eating or how they look. I was with company at the time and my company felt extremely disturbed by their obxious way of talking to each other in a "quiet" tone of voice gathering in a circle near the brick firewood oven to discuss and stare at customers they found "funny". My pizza was under cooked when I finally received it, probably because instead of turning the pizza to evenly cook it, the male employee who was cooking the pizza at the time, was too busy talking to the other female employees to pay focus to my and other customers pizza. Lastly the female employee who he was talking to did not ask if I wanted a finishing drizzle on top. To end, pizza was great(at the time of writing) I haven't gone back since this disappointing incident(it happen multiple times but this time was different as the pizza came uncooked) so I had enough and never gone back to it. I wish the employees learn that this is a workplace, be professional, don't discuss about and laugh at your customers. Every time we come here for the past 3 years they go above and beyond for a true allergy gluten free pizza. From every aspect it goes through it is never touched by anything or anyone without clean gloves and clean trys and clean cutters. Constant cleanlines. Very much appreciated. Love this!
