I love their traditional red sauce with mozzarella: shredded and fresh. Their toppings are plentiful. I get rosemary sprinkled on top at the end. They also offer finishing sauces that can be drizzled on top of your fresh-out-of-the-fire-oven pizza. I get pesto in a separate container to dip the crust. They call out your name, loudly, so you can hear it, when it's ready. They serve it to you with a smile. You can earn rewards on the app, which I did for this delicious cheesy bread; it was free. We placed our order via the app for curbside pick up. - Large pizzas ($15 - $20) - 11" pizzas ($7 - $15) - On the app, you can also see a handful of specials (deals) For curbside pick up, you pick a time and write down your car make/model/color so they can find it. In this parking lot, there's two rows that are close to the restaurant. We parked in the second closest row on the edge (basically you can see our car when you walk straight out of the restaurant to the parking lot) and gave them a call to let them know we were here. They said they were still working on one of the orders but will be out shortly. We waited in the car for 20 minutes with no pizzas in sight, so we got out and headed to the store. When we got to the pick up area, no one acknowledged us. And when we finally got someone's attention, they told us that even though we ordered through their app, they weren't able to find my number to call to say they didn't find my car. (We didn't even see anyone walking around the parking lot looking for our car...) I've held off on writing a review for a while but in the past 3 times I've been to blaze they've made a mistake EVERY single time with the order. If it's a pick up/online order, they'll miss putting half of the toppings you asked for (and it was ON the receipt taped to the top of the box but still was left out). Even when we go in person, they'll forget about other items like the cheesy bread and we'll be left to wait for over 15 additional minutes after reminding them about it because they forgot to make it. The prices are pretty affordable especially with the unlimited toppings($9)-though don't get too crazy because your pizza might not cook right with too many toppings. House specialties are available for those not feeling creative but that, too, you can customize to your liking. Inspired "Meat Eater" was my first half with added bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and pineapple. I was very pleased with this creation except by mistake they added pesto sauce and arugula which was only supposed to go on one side. The lady accused me of not giving them accurate instructions beforehand as this was the last thing they add once the pizza comes out from the oven. I did tell the other gal only she turned her back on me when I wasn't even done talking as she hurriedly put my pie in the oven while nodding. I thought she got it. Oh, well. She offered to make me another one or a free pizza for my next visit. I took the latter option and settled with what pie I had. My other half pie consisted of no sauce, gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese, chicken, bacon, mushrooms, garlic, arugula, and pesto sauce. Just BLLLLLAAAAAAAAZZZZEEEEE! I couldn't help myself LOL So one day around the holidays, I had a hankering for pizza. I didn't want your typical commercialized Pizza hut type of spot. I felt like I was going to the damn Enchanted forest o_O I've never eaten in this area before so it was all new to me. I finally make my way and I notice all the options of food for these spoiled college kids have :p I walk in and there were 2 people in front of me. When it was my turn , a little kid runs up to the counter and asks the worker, if he can get another pizza made . The server tells him, "I'm sorry, she's the last customer, since we're closing early tonight, due to construction." LOL That's what his fat ass got for trying to cut me in line. Wow!! Blaze and Chipotle at UTC?!?! These young Anteaters are so spoiled!! These build your own pizza and burrito joints were not here back when I was in college. This business has definitely opened in the right spot with budgeting college students nearby, they are more than willing to stand in long lines to get some overhyped cheap eats. For $7.75 you can build your own pizza with as many toppings as you want for one flat rate. On the Tuesday evening I came the line was well out the door and my cousins and I waited quite a while to get to the front of the line. I really like that their dough was machine pressed into a perfect even circular pizza shape. Then we picked the sauce, cheese(s), meat(s), veggies and sauce. Their production line was quite disorganized with staffers switching around at their stations constantly. It was definitely annoying when someone would ask what meat/veggie I wanted, then left for another person to ask me to repeat my order. The line would probably be less long if they were more systematic. It was so chaotic a girl came back from in front of us to remake her pizza since someone took her pizza. My cousin loaded his pizza with meats while his girlfriend loaded hers with veggies. I think my pizza was somewhere in between their extremities. My lovely creation had a white cream sauce base with shredded mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, ham, chicken, bacon, green bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms and garlic. I actually planned to get barbecue sauce on top of that, but with all of the chaos I'm not sure which station I missed that step at... The pizzas cooks for 180 seconds here so that was the only part that was quick about this whole process. Together we agreed that we liked their dough/crust more than Pieology's, but the sauce was by far inferior. It was just lacking in flavor. I can't say I'm in love with the place nor was it worth waiting in such a long line for. Maybe if I was still in college... I togo-ed half of my pizza and it was nice that they had boxes available by the drinks so that we didn't have to ask for it, however it would have been nicer if the box was a better fit for the pizza. But for pi day, it was $3.14 for a pizza pie. There was a LONG line (1.5 hours to be exact) and since this is across UCI, there were tons of students who wanted the $3.14 deal. Going in, you can pick what you want: A simple pie (cheese and sauce) for $5, one of their own personal pies, and then my favorite: The Build Your Own. Sauces: alfredo, red sauce, pesto, and spicy red sauce The you pick cheese: mozzerala, ovalini mozzerala, gorgonzola, ricotta, parmesan Meats! Ham, bacon,crumbled meatballs, italian sausage, pepperoni, chicken, ground beef. Then tons of vegetables: to name a few, pineapple, onions, mushrooms, olives, green bell peppers. If I wrote a review for this place last year I would've given it a 2 or 3, but I came in today for the first time in a long while and they've definitely changed a lot of things for the better. I'm guessing its because Pieology opened up at Irvine Spectrum and now there's competition for the "best make-your-own-personal-pizza place in Irvine" so Blaze made a point to step it up. The one biggest change I noticed is how there is now unlimited toppings/they don't charge for extra toppings if you choose one of their signature pizzas. Before, if you wanted to build your own pizza, you were limited to a certain amount of cheeses, meats, whatever, but now I think you can pile up as many things as you want. Pieology has never had topping limitations and I think this is why Blaze is doing unlimited toppings now too. So get everything. Make sure that ~$8 is well spent. Next big change: they're now open til midnight for the night owl college students! Yay midnight snack! Recommendations: Ovalini mozzarella - SO MOIST and soft and chewy; best cheese ever. Roasted garlic - adds wonderful flavor; great texture; extremely tasty Tomatoes - adds moisture to your pizza; the bright red also makes it look oh so pretty! Basil - smells great; adds flavor ^you could make a great caprese/margarita pizza with these toppings Also, YOU MUST EAT IT FRESH. Once the pizza gets cold, it becomes cardboard. I'm guessing just five minutes, and they were perfectly cooked. The restaurant is clean and there's ample seating inside and out. Prices are good too. We had two pizzas and three drinks and out tab was $23.06, including tax. The pizzas are not heavily topped with ingredients, and the crust is thin. My picky-eater wife & I give this place two thumbs up! Now I know why my parents took me to MickeyD's so much; after a long day of work, the last thing you want to worry about is deciding on what to make for dinner, cooking, and then cleaning up afterwards. Luckily, Blaze Pizza opened up near by and wifey and I would come here on one of those nights. This place makes pizza fresh to order. They have an assembly line of college kids running this joint, so the food comes out incredibly fast (literally start to finish 8 minutes and 42 seconds). The ingredients are fresh and there's a wide variety of toppings. The wifey likes to get the White Top pizza with mushrooms and I typically just create my own. The best part is this place is really cheap. 6.95 for you're own pizza is totally worth it. A little about my credentials: I first got into cooking & food when I was in college. After being rejected by numerous girls and getting zero action, I decided it was time for a change. I needed a new makeover to boost my geeky image. I applied for a cooking position at a Mediterranean-Italian Restaurant near my home and learned to cook all sorts of dishes. I really, really like this place. Every time I am near UCI, I pop in for a little treat. Every time I have some, the staff has always been friendly. I appreciate that if you haven't been there before, they take the time to explain the process, versus letting you stand there like a deer in headlights. I usually do the one-topping or if I'm feeling slightly adventurous (and I'm a pretty boring eater) the create your own. One topping gives you, as it says, one topping, where as the CYO gives you as many toppings as you want for a fixed price (just over $8 with tax, I believe). - Ask for a water cup, as the pepperoni can be a wee bit salty, but it's still tasty. - There are mini boxes to the right of the soda machines if your mind is bigger than your stomach and you have leftovers, - The only downside is that the lines can get pretty long, only because 1) there are a lot of people in line and 2) some people take FOREVER. Join the line with some line of what you're craving; it'll make everyone's life easier. - Parking can be a nightmare. They really need a garage or something at University Center. read more

This place is always busy with customers. I came by just ordered a cheese Pizza for dinner, As usual, I am a meat eater but not tonight because it is an ash Wednesday so I gave up meat for Lent. Their pizzas were ok but I liked the choices that they have. You are the boss so you can order whatever toppings you prefer. The prices were also decent. I can hardly wait to PI day to have any toppings for the price of $ 3.14. They have it deal every year on March 14. The services here were fast and friendly. The time you ordered your pizza to the time they called your name was around 10 minutes. So if you were in the rush? not to worry that much, You will be out in no time. read more
