Anyway, bake shop purchased yummies including veggie dog and pumpkin cookie were both very good, and I appreciated being able to pick up a pint of apple cider to go. They offer many other things at the bake shop such as turnovers, pies, cookies, additional desserts I don't feel like listing, sandwiches, and beverages. The apple barn smelled amazing, and we got to try a bunch of apple slices. I had never tried a mutsu apple or Arkansas black apple before and both were delicious and interesting. Mutsu is a golden delicious bred with a granny smith and the Arkansas black is thicc in texture/skin and sort of has a caramel sweetness to it. We liked sitting outside at the picnic tables and playing PoGo. Thought about heading over to the museum to look around but there was a hat cultist inside so neither of us felt like spoiling our day with that kind of aura iykyk. Maybe next time. You know what they say about one bad apple. Leave it on the ground, the rest will be just fine. Extra parking across the street but be so careful crossing the street. I did not notice any vegan options to confirm either way, but they do have many vegetarian friendly snack and meal options. Prices are reasonable for the area. This was our last stop on our weekend visit and it was without question, saving the best for last! It's a small production winery (1400 cases/year), another reason this place prides itself in the high quality of its wines. Every wine was a winner, whether white or red. The reason becomes apparent with the education provided by Frank...farmer, wine maker and owner. He truly exudes the passion for his craft and has the ability to explain to the layman why he does what he does and the end result. Don't confuse biodynamic with organic...it is so much more with such a positive effect on the environment and your palate. Did you know the red wine headache doesn't come from sulfites but from all the additives production wineries put in their product? Just some of the knowledge Frank imparts to his guests while you're tasting. One of the more eclectic wines is the vermouth...not to be confused with what you put in your martini or Manhattan, but an actual aperitif used to aid digestion. This tonic is most helpful for those with digestive issues or anyone familiar with its use before or after a meal. And it tastes awesome.
