Attended an Art & Chocolate Show at the SOMA Cultural Arts Center and who's carts did I see getting setup in the back? Bliss Pops with one of the owners themselves (Mike) manning the carts!! Was so excited that I rushed over to see if they had my favorite flavor: Vietnamese Coffee. Alas, they only had 6 flavors that night so I settled on another favorite of mine: coconut. My cousin got the pineapple and thought it very refreshing (it was fairly warm during the exhibit). As I was happily snacking on my popsicle, my cousin noted how much shredded coconut was in it it (there's a lot). So if you love coconut, you should definitely try! If coconut or pineapple's not your thing, try one of their other many paleta flavors. read more

I tried Popbar in Los Angeles and wasn't impressed - $5 for a normal Popsicle/ice cream pop..and they tried to upsell you with toppings/dipping. Bliss Pops - absolutely different! No frills and no extra toppings/dippings- buy each flavor "as is" for $3! They usually sell them in carts that are rolled out at various events, but they finally opened a tiny closet-sized shop. We found this on the corner of Polk and California, pretty hidden. BUT...loved all the flavors. The Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter was divine!! It had crumblings inside - so yum. The BF got Strawberry Cheesecake and it had crumbs of cheesecake inside - sooo good. Each one was refreshing but tasted natural in flavor - I loved them. We hired Bliss Pops at the last minute for our outdoor wedding reception at Lake Merritt. Mike was great to work with, rearranging his schedule to work with our last minute request, and brought enough pops to satisfy our 250 guests. Since the party was in a public space and we didn't want to feed random passersby, our guests were told to flash a secret signal to Mike (2 hands forming a heart) so he'd know who to feed.
