I don't normally write reviews... BUT, this place I will make an exception for. First, parking is in the lot by Jose's Mexican restaurant. I'd park there because the metered stall time is longer than street parking. Unless you can find legal street Parking, I'd advise you to park in that lot behind Jose's. When you first walk in, you are greeted by EVERYONE. They all acknowledge you and say hello. They offer you water and ask you questions about what you want to get done that day. I had Phuong. She was such a sweet lady. She always made sure that I was ok, that she wasn't putting too much pressure on my hands. I have never done a dip manicure before, I've always had acrylics. Honestly, I was a bit worried being that I've never had dip powder before. They have so many colors to choose from! I was a bit overwhelmed because they had so many beautiful choices. Everything is super clean and sanitary. I'm really Picky about my nails and how they look. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my nails. All I can say is that Phuong NAILED it. Lol. I couldn't decide on color, So I let them choose. And they picked the most perfect color. And I love it. I highly recommend people going there. The staff is amazing and really attentive. The salon itself is clean and beautiful. It's very warm and cozy. Feels like you're at home or at a friend's house. It just has that welcoming feeling. I have come here a few times--once for a regular manicure and pedicure and once for a gel manicure. The mani pedi was great with the exception of my manicure chipped fairly quickly after getting it. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience of coming here, because the techs are very patient and kind. For my gel manicure, it was just over $40 with tax because I opted for French tips. She took her time and kept checking with me at each step to make sure it was like I wanted. I like it here because I feel at ease here. They have stamp cards which they keep on site. I think it's that if you visit 10 times they will give you a pedicure. I have parked in the parking lot with the attendant for Happy Days and the other restaurants or in the metered parking near Smiley Nails since they recently opened up more of the spaces after doing construction there. read more

The ladies at Blissful Nails are SO accommodating and skilled! They were able to squeeze in a party of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) for a different combination of manis and pedis. And they did such an amazing job on all of us! They don't rush you to choose colors and are not pushy at all. We felt relaxed the entire time! The shop is extremely clean and inviting, and we're so happy it's close by to where we live. My mom and sister both got a gel mani/ regular pedi, my niece got a mani (which she LOVES), and I got a pedi. The $28 special pedi was exactly what I needed! My nail tech was extremely good and her attention to detail is great. This is a small shop, so be sure to book your appointment ahead of time. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Three of us went together and made an appointment ahead of time. We were called shortly before our appointment to push it back but hadn't left yet. When we arrived, there were 2 of the 3 seats filled. There is only 3 pedicure chairs and 3 nail chairs. It's wise to make appointment ahead of time as there was a steady flow of customers the whole time I was there. I got an acrylic fill and deluxe pedicure! Phuong was super attentive and constantly asking if I needed anything or if I wanted any changes. They offered me a water bottle while I was there which was also nice! The facility is super clean and newly remodeled. They had super comfortable massage chairs too! The ladies were very nice and accommodating. So pleased with my experience at Blissful Nails. I have had long natural nails all my life and one broke down to the nail bed yesterday. Rather than filing all my nails down I decided to try to get an extension to match the rest. I called to make sure this was something they could do and they got me in immediately. I had no clue what I was really asking for and was concerned I'd be charged for a full set or pushed other services from prior experiences at other salons, but Diep and the rest of the salon were wonderful! I love coming here! Phuong is super gentle and always making sure that I like the color or that I'm not in any pain. I usually get a gel mani and a special pedi and I'm in and out in less than 2 hours. They have soo many colors to choose from and I love being able to book online. This was my first time here. First impressions: - the staff were a lot more friendly than the nail salon I went to for the past 2 months in a span of one day. - building is very small; just the way I like it! It is more "personalized" instead of bigger salons who just want money instead of giving their customers quality. - quality of nails is worth your money. I came in with broken nails and they don't look horrible anymore. I was also observing my nail tech's technique for dip powder and not only was it efficient, but they came out stunning. You can definitely tell her game was different. However, the thing I didn't like was the nail tech's attitude. She was working on my friend before me and was aggressive/ rude to her. This was very telling with her body language and the way she was physically handling my friend. If there is an issue you need to address with your customer, do it tactfully and respectfully. You can avoid unecesssary interactions this way. I understand being frustrated, but you do not take it out on your customers, especially if they are criticing your work. Do not tell me to ask you to fix something if you are going to be angry doing it. Specifically, when I asked her to file down my broken nail(s) she threw down her hands and just looked at me. She reluctantly fixed it and that made me feel some type of way. I would rather the nail tech actually pay attention to her work and fix something because it seems that if a customer verifies and asks for an adjustment, apparently it is an issue. With my friend's nails, the design does not look too great. The line work is awful, not straight, and there are double lines you can see overlapping each other. Again, nail tech not paying attention to detail/ her own work. Said friend did not say anything as the nail tech was already being aggressive and did not want her to lash out. "It was like she just wanted to be done already." On the bright side of things, the woman who did my pedicure did such a fantastic job. Patient, precise, and empathetic. Her English is limited but is great at communicating otherwise (she will read your expressions if she is doing something that might hurt e.g. inner nail removal or massaging), then will ask if there needs to be an adjustment and if you are okay. She also verifies her own work before she asks you, and will make constant adjustments that she notices during the process. She was absolutely wonderful and sweet, and her work ethic was outstanding. Had it not been for that woman who did my pedicure, this review would have been 3 stars. Work ethic and attitude goes a loooong way. read more

I have had both great eyebrow threading and gel manicures here! It's a tiny hole in the wall shop and all the employees are incredible. Brow threading is hard to find in Honolulu, but the woman was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and painless. I did a fun French manicure (very out of the ordinary for me) and they truly didn't paint my nails but did nail art. It's a bit pricy - but worth it for the quality! read more

Asked for "almond-ish, oval, thin and length show for white nail photos." Results are ugly, chunky and short alligator nails with zero cuticle care, removal or push back. The girl who did my nails was Sang. Would not recommend. All my nails are slightly different lengths and shapes when both hands are compared. Again, would not recommend at all. Now I have to wait several weeks with these ugly chunky claws until I can remove. :( Not to mention it cost just under $60. These are the ugliest nails I've even had! read more

Blissful Nails is a great new nail salon in Kaimuki! It's a smaller salon but very clean. Upon entering, they take your temperature. They have dividers for each station as well. There's usually two ladies that work there and both do a great job! I've only gotten pedicures there but I enjoyed the massage and they do a thorough job. I also like how they have a lot of different color options and my favorite OPI Infinite Shine! Prices are reasonable.. a basic pedicure starts at $25. This is my new go-to spot for getting pedicures! My new favorite pedicure salon. Blissful Nails is cute, quaint, clean, and they are exceptionally friendly! My first experience was in December, still in the wake of covid and I thought to myself, screw it, I'm going to treat myself!!!! Blissful Nails takes reservations for services and their technicians are very careful and clean. Each pedicure bowl is lined with a plastic liner and they use the disinfectant tablets to keep the water clean and your toesies fungus free. The selection of polish is great and the tech was able to help me figure out a cute subtle holiday look of white with silver glitters. After my pedicure I had a facial with Julie who was so relaxing and gentle! It was the perfect treat myself day while my bf waited in the parking lot - lol! I will definitely be back and can't wait to take my girlfriends here when things are better for socially hanging out without get judged for. read more

This review is specifically directed towards the employee Oanh who did my pedicure, not the business as a whole. I would not recommend having her perform your manicure or pedicure due to her carelessness. This employee had used the "cheese grater" foot file to remove calluses from my feet, which is typically fine. However during this process, she looked away from my foot while using the tool near my toes and ended up shaving a half inch section of the skin off of my big toe, which was pretty painful and caused me to bleed pretty significantly. She did not appear to know how to handle the situation and the other employees around her directed her to use styptic powder to stop the bleeding. They also directed her to use some betadine to help disinfect the wound. She was very apologetic, but then continued to use the file and cut my heel as well. We then had to repeat the styptic powder-betadine combo on my heel, and a couple more times on my toe to stop the bleeding. For the remainder of the pedicure she continued to be careless and kept touching the wounds as she was massaging my legs and painting the toenails. Her and the other employees were apologizing throughout, clearly seeing that this was upsetting me and my friends, but this was definitely something that could be avoided in the future. The rest of the employees were professional and assisted Oanh through the situation to do their best to take care of her error. We contacted the owner and they were quick to respond to the issue and apologized. They assured us that there would be measures put into place to ensure this does not happen to anyone again, and I surely hope so! read more

She took my temperature, I signed a quick form on a clipboard and she got me all settled in. Phuong made me feel super comfortable, I got to know more about her and her fam, and she made sure that I left with a blissful experience. All in all, they're located by Verbano Restaurant in Kaimuki in a green building, ground floor, suite 102. There's ample metered parking on the street and in the lot. The salon is located in an assuming apartment building (green) just off the main road. Lots of metered parking located in the back. I suggest booking morning or late afternoon appointments because parking is hard to come by during midday hours. The salon itself is packed with great features; nail, brow, hair removal, hair and makeup (updo). They accept credit card, Apple Pay, and gratuity by Venmo which I find convenient. Cash is always great too! Anticipate 1:1 dedicated time between you and artist. Enjoy the climate controlled room, complimentary water, and large flat screen tv. My first time here (Oct. 21, 2021) I got a gel mani & basic pedi combo done by Sang. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment & I absolutely loved her work (sorry, didn't have a picture). The gel lasted for three solid weeks & by the time I realized my nails were getting too long I knew I was set on coming back here instead of another place I usually go to. My second time here (Nov. 15, 2021) I got a gel mani done by Phuong (pictured, but it's so much prettier in person). I've only had my nails be a single color at a time, so asking for something outside of my routine made me nervous. I showed her a photo of what I wanted & she was spot on! I was so happy! She also made sure I was comfortable & checked with me on the length, shape, & design throughout the appointment. All the women there are sweet & welcoming, in addition to the great quality of their work. The space is small, yet it feels open & roomy! Clean & follows covid protocol. They also have a wide selection of gel polish & dip powders compared to other salons. They're located on the ground floor of the green building along Koko Head Ave., next one over to Verbano. There's metered parking along Koko Head Ave (a quarter for 10 minutes, 1-hr max); they're mostly available in the mornings. Booked appointments for a friend and I via text. I got a message the night before saying there was a staffing issue and asking if we could come 30 minutes earlier (10:30). We could not, but I let her know we'd arrive 15 minutes after the new proposed time (10:45). The person texting agreed. At 10:38 on the day of the appointment they called to see where we were. I reminded them of the agreement. Our pedicure began promptly at 10:45 when we arrived. The salon appeared fully staffed- no apparent staffing shortage) and 2 more people showed up for pedicures at 11. Consequently, our pedicures were rushed and only lasted 20 minutes (advertised as 50 minutes). We were rushed from our chairs as soon as polish was applied. It's hard to gauge whether they're good because our service was so rushed. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Came here yesterday for my 5yr old daughter bday to get gel mani/pedi for her and powder dip with tips mani/basic pedi with paraffin wax and I was blown away with the work and service try provided. She's super knowledgeable in both areas and gave recommendations on how to give my brows a better shape, but not pressuring me to do any recs if I didn't want to!
