Owner, Patrice, and his helper, Norm, did a great job replacing the old, crumbling concrete parking pad in our 1930's garage floor. They excavated a couple inches of dirt, as well, so that the new pad could be 4" thick (compared with the old 1.5" pad) & remain level with the rest of the garage floor. Patrice came out to give us a bid very quickly (the quickest of the 3 we called), was on time for both the bid and the job, was very reasonably priced, and did a professional job. Patrice does hauling, too- so for just a little extra they took our old junk to the dump along with the old concrete. My husband and I hired BlockBusters to cut, remove, and haul out some concrete from our backyard. The owner, Patrice, was very kind, easy to work with, and stuck to his word. I had a retaining wall that had several cracks and pieces missing or damaged. I reached out to several companies on Yelp. Patrice was fantastic! He responded quickly, and came out the next day to inspect in person. He was nice, friendly and COVID compliant. A complete rebuild of the wall and stairs would have been a very expensive job, but since the damage wasn't structural we could look at a repair instead. He gave me a fair price and was able to take on the job immediately. Patrice did the work in about a day and once painted it transformed the front of my house. The wall looks a thousand times better and the the stairs are now smooth and even. We were tagged by DPW to repair some cracks in our sidewalk. Looked like a big deal...permits, removal and replacement of squares, etc. Patrice dropped by for a look and said that for that level of repair permits were not needed (which we confirmed with DPW) and he gave us a quote that was a fraction of what we had been led to believe. My husband and I are very impressed with the work that Patrice and his team did in removing an old concrete foundation in our backyard. There was a tree that had grown right next to (and eventually under and around) the foundation, and Patrice expertly carved around the tree roots and removed as much concrete as he could without damaging or weakening the tree. Have a magnolia that pushed up the surrounding sidewalk squares creating a trip hazard. Blockbusters responded right away when I was looking for a contractor, gave me a quick competitive quote, and that day I had them scheduled for a few days later. They showed up right on time (10-15 min early), demoed out the old and poured a couple new squares. I (probably annoyingly) watched them work the whole time (it's like the live version of This Old House) and you can tell that a) the man knows his concrete work and b) cares about the quality of his work. They were done within a few hours and I have a couple perfect sidewalk squares that were previously pushed up 2-3 inches.
