Very friendly as you walk through the door. Placed a to-go order. You can place an order ahead of time which I would recommend because while not appearing super busy it would be about 30 min for food to be done. They seems to have a busy to-go busYou can choose how spicy you want your dishes and they range in American / Desi on how hot you want your selection to be. I got the: Bawarchi Gombi 65 - I got medium but could have gone spicer. Delicious Chicken Lollipop - so much better than I thought. Amazing crunch and good level of spice Parotta- flaky and crisp. Like a smashed croissant Cheese Kulcha- very good. Mild and great to go with something spicy to calm it down. Now only bad thing it's 90 miles from home but when going this way will stop again

My partner and I are on a road trip and had our fill of fast food, so it was a welcome change to enjoy some real food. I'm a big fan of Indian cuisine, especially street food. The restaurant is tucked at the end of a strip mall that also houses an Indian grocery store. As we walked in, we were greeted by lively music and two women managing the front as cashier and hostess. They were busy taking phone orders. We waited at least 10 minutes before placing an order. We got a goat biryani to go and received it within 15 minutes, despite it being quite busy around 7:30 pm on a Thursday night. The main dining room was very dark with loud TV music. I definitely do not want to dine in there as it was just too loud. I can't imagine having a conversation in that environment. The goat was flavorful, though mostly bone, about 85% to 90% bone with very little meat, which is disappointing for the $19 price. I asked for American mild, but it was still pretty spicy. I can usually handle wasabi and Thai peppers, but Indian spices really hit differently. Thankfully, the raita helped cool things down a bit, our lips were definitely tingling after the meal! Good place for spice lovers.

First impressions-- extremely trendy! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I were asked if it was our first time there and it was. Although I traveled from NE Texas for a wedding, I might end up telling people it was for Bloom Bawarchi instead! I opted for a goat curry (I wish I could remember the name!!) And my wife got the lamb chops. We had garlic Naan to share and of course that disappeared almost immediately after it got to the table. I wish my stomach was just a little bigger but I had a decent-sized snack to take home after it all. With drinks the bill came out to about what I had expected; coming from Texas I'm used to things being a little on the cheaper side but I wasn't disappointed with the price point-- especially considering how delicious everything tasted. If I'm ever in the area again I will *definitely* be coming back.

I ordered a Butter Goat Curry to go. The packing was very safe to avoid leaking. It was so delicious! I haven't had Indian food for a while, and this really impressed me. The serving people were very polite and friendly, and I got my order ahead of the scheduled time as I arrived earlier. Recommend this place!

I brought a friend for dinner . We ordered samosa chat and Bawarchi Shrimp. The food was great. But my friend did not like the water severed on a pitcher without ice and the glass made of plastic. It create a cheap impression about the restaurant.

Incredible experience at bloom Bawarchi! The food was absolutely delicious and came out super quick. The ambiance inside the restaurant is very cute and suitable for a cute date night or a family gathering. Servers were super attentive and friendly and the restaurant was spotless. I will definitely be stopping in again!

Stopped on our way to Chicago for a quick meal. We ordered kadhai paneer and fried rice and both were tasty hot and arrived quickly. Service was polite and attentive . We arrived at 3 pm so couldn't try the Thai or the South Indian food which has fixed hours . The ambience was great. Place was very clean. Would eat here again :)

I heard good things about this place and went for lunch. But I was a bit disappointed. I got the lunch Thali - None of the items stood out. Every item was at best was barely ok. The chicken seems to have a lot of red color (which again did not have any flavor), same goes with Sambar and other items. The only thing that was good were the Pungulu. They do not have any breakfast and chat items for lunch. The service was good and quick.

Totally delicious Pineapple Fire! It features premium ingredients like Clase Azul tequila.

Still the kings of desi food and drink in Illinois!!! And in the whole US, to be honest, especially considering drinks--it is extremely uncommon to find this quality and attention to detail besides at Indian Accent in NYC!

Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo Curry, Garlic Naan

Holy crap this place is GOOOOOOD. The reviews do not lie. Immaculate service and the food is just amazing. Server recommended the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan for me and it was the best I've ever had. Chicken was so tender and the spice level was perfect (I got a medium). Mango lassi was bomb af too. My bf got the chicken vindaloo curry and onion naan and he loved it. We ate around 8pm on a Thursday. We really enjoyed the Bollywood pop music videos and fun lighting. Music was perfect level, not too loud at all. I bet this place gets pretty bumpin on weekends. 10/10 would recommend Bloom.

Palak paneer and butter chicken.

Has to be the best Indian restaurant in Decatur. It would be that because it's the only one as far…read moreas I know. Rasoi is located in an unassuming strip mall where it looks like not much else is going on. Also looks kind of crummy inside but it's not that bad. The prices are pretty okay for a cuisine that often can be pricey. Even though it wasn't that particularly nice looking it wasn't worse than expected. It's a place that looks like it's struggling for business as we were the only ones eating inside. There was one person who came in to get a carryout order. Menu has the classic items. There's plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians. Good prices as far as around here. It's about $5 to get a shot of Bombay Sapphire, as well as a few other liquors. They serve the pop in cans and customers have to pour it themselves. It's about $12 for an entree. Unlike many Indian restaurants like to do and make customers pay extra to order, these include rice. I got the Chana Masala. They give you the option of level of spiciness. Medium is plenty hot for most customers. The hottest just overpowers the flavors to be honest. Great place as far as getting cuisine that isn't common in this area. It's located at North Martin Luther King Jr. and Pershing. There's a crap ton on the menu including many hot and spicy things for vegans and vegetarians.

Sorry about the suboptimal photos . . . this was a DoorDash order. And as always, I offer another…read moredisclaimer: Our favorite food is Indian food, so it's hard to go wrong, but we have an Indian restaurant we hold above all others, that we have patronized for over a decade (Tandoor in Clarksville, TN). And nothing ever compares. But Rasoi was definitely one of my favorites in recent memory and I really enjoyed the food, takeout or not! I had the gobi chili (dry), made with battered cauliflower florets tossed in a spicy sauce with onions and bell peppers. I also had the aloo tikki, not to be confused with the aloo gobi. Aloo tikki is two tasty potato patties that are meant to be dipped in flavorful sauces. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect for the potato lovers. This version is like a potato patty had a baby with a hash brown, but great just the same. And the chicken vindaloo, served in a tangy tomato based curry with tomato. This was also delicious. I am usually not a bread or naan person (though I can definitely appreciate it), but this time I got the onion naan. It was thin and buttery and I could definitely taste the onions baked in. Excellent. Should be noted that this place does not offer spice levels on DoorDash (but they do on their regular website). I would call everything I received medium spice. It was flavorful, but not much heat. And that's probably what most palm colored people are looking for. I could use a little more heat, and I'm sure they would provide if I had asked for it in a note, but when I first taste a place, I usually start with medium to gauge the true taste of a dish. Many of the traditional Indian offerings--veggie samosas, pakora, chicken 65, various gobi iterations, naan, roti, biryani, various paneer dishes, . They also offer things that aren't as common in the average restaurant, such as tandoori fish (they actually have several seafood offerings), Punjabi Kadhi (pakoras in curd and sauce). They offer Indian-Chinese fusion as well (egg fried rice, chili chicken, vegetable noodles). They have a chaat (Indian street food) selection, dosas (lentil wraps). And while I'm not a fan of specialty restaurants catering to the American masses, they do offer various sandwiches, burgers, nuggets, and wings. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Will definitely order from here again. Hope this helps spread the word, as I am the first to add and review them on yelp!

The guy working the counter gave us a binder full explaining the menu. Great idea. We placed our order and the food came out pretty quickly. The crab Rangoon with blue crab was delicious! I highly recommend it. We also had the chicken dumplings they were good as well. My husband ordered the bulgogi bowl. The bowl was huge and tasted good. My noodle bowl was a little iffy. We were asked if we wanted spicy or mild. I told them spicy. It was the mildest thing I had ever tasted. The actual noodles were supposed to be yaki/udon. I guess that means different things to different places. The noodles were too fat and because I was expecting spicy I couldn't reconcile the taste. I brought it home to see if I could fix it. Having never been Bloomington before, I probably won't be back to the area anytime soon. I'd still say give them a try.
