Great coffee knowledgable staff. Good food.

A coworker of mine told me about this place a few months ago and I was hesitant to try Bc I'm partial to Dutch Bros. I have so far tried this place a handful of times and the coffee is actually really good. Their downfall is their customer service. Literally every time I have gone in, I've been waited on by what seems to be people who aren't customer service oriented. They talk amongst themselves and act like its so hard to simply smile. The last time I went, they were out of sleeves for the coffee cups, so I asked one of the girls who works in the kitchen because the girl making the coffee was too busy talking it up with the cashier. Love to see places that offer a nice tea selection and in house made treats! My Velvet Dessert iced tea hit the spot and tasted great. Inside has a minimal modern decor with lots of big tables, a friendly staff and an upbeat environment. Need more places like this. Recommended over Starbucks any day. read more

Dropped by here one evening and order an iced mocha. I'm a barista myself and have been to countless cafes all around the Sacramento area but I haven't been fully disappointed until I came here. One of my favorite drinks is a mocha and I can tell you, that definitely wasn't a mocha. It tasted like burnt milk with no chocolate. Also we ordered a freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade, but I can tell you that it definitely tasted like minute maid strawberry lemonade concentrate. Not only was I disappointed at the drinks but also the cashier, he gave us attitude for no reason. I didn't ask any questions nor did I give him any attitude first but it was obvious that he was in a bad mood and was taking it out on whoever came in. I understand working in the customer service industry can be stressful at times but that doesn't give you the right to be rude to anyone that you choose. At least have some level of professionalism. read more

Line to order moves super slow. Time it takes to get your drink is long too. Place is always packed though. Guess if you have nothing better to do with your day come hang out here. Otherwise you can get the same coffee at any other of the many coffee shops around town. read more

This coffee shop was definitely a good find in the Roseville, Rocklin area...although I instantly felt the colors and lay out had a "cold" feeling. The art work on the wall was atrocious, even though that is all in the eye of the beholder. The staff was kind and knowledgeable so that got a star. The music was the standard coffee shop music, elliot smith I believe. What totally turned me off about that place was the Chai. It was the worst I have ever had. Ever. It tasted like lukewarm spiced milk and I couldnt exchange it for something else because I was already on the road when I tried it. I havent tried the coffee but I would NOT BUY THE CHAI! read more

I used to LOVE Bloom. It was such a great place to hang out and enjoy great coffee. I don't feel like the others who say it has a "snobby" feel and I am not particularly young nor a "hipster". Lately however, it has just been filthy inside and the music is terrible and so loud. I can't enjoy reading, talking, or listening to my own music. The coffee artists (or whatever they call themselves) are always talking to each other and talking loudly. Back to the filth....there are cobwebs in every corner, top and bottom. There is dust under the couches. The floors are disgusting. I don't think anyone is cleaning at all. What happened to Sarah? The best thing about Bloom is a really, really nice guy .... I think his name is Luke. So for me, I will go to Shady's when I am out for destination coffee. On Douglas near Riverside. Awesome coffee there. Maybe Luke can go work there! read more

The service was friendly but slow even though there was no one in front of me (3/5). Granted the barista was holding a conversation with another worker there, I began to wonder if I should've just driven back to Woodland and make my own coffee. I judge cafes by their mocha latte. Their mocha tasted more like a regular latte. The chocolate tasted powdery and stale and the milk was over steamed. I do not recommend their mocha (2/5) - you are better off with a regular latte or something else for the price you are paying. I wanted to like their coffee because they use Verve coffee beans and it's one of my favorite roasters that I use to make my own espresso at home, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Additionally, I had their Almond Joy scone with bits of coconut and chocolate that was recommended by the cashier. Not overly sweet with good hints of chocolate chips, coconut and salt to balance everything out: a solid 3/5. The overall space of this shop is beautiful but I was not a fan of their music (overall ambience 4/5). Parking is ample. I wouldn't return for their coffee. I probably would only return to buy some beans. read more

Went to Bloom for the first time to meet an old friend and LOVED it!!! This place is seriously a gem. Just expected the typical Starbucks/Coffee Bean atmosphere, but it totally has its own vibe. It has a very artsy/vintage/one-of-a-kind type of feel to it. The interior is creatively set up with couches, chairs/tables, and different mediums of art decorating the walls. The menu is really simple (I love simple menus). I had an iced mocha which was really really good. Very good prices too. Not to mention one of the workers is freaking hot. read more

I am so disappointed with my experience here. I came early at about 6:30ish. The Girl that took my order and made my drink seemed to be in such a bad mood and was very short with me. She was tan with really dark hair and a few moles on her face. Very rude. The coffee was good enough and the scone I got was delicious but it's just not worth the subpar treatment from the staff there. I feel like ownership has changed recently. I used to frequent this place and the owners were always around, pulling shots, saying hello. No longer. While their breakfast sandwich is awesome, & most of the pastries are pretty darn good too. they are never in a hurry to make your food or your drink. For 3+ weeks they have been "out" of lemonade. They heavily advertised a wide variety of Arnold Palmers but I've come in, ordered one, waited for them to brew the tea (which, honestly, is overkill. It's fine, just make a batch of iced tea and put it in the fridge) only to be told that there's no lemonade... Again. And no one knew until 5 minutes into making my drink. Which I paid for as an Arnold Palmer and was ultimately just given tea. I've received quite a few stories as to why this is, but honestly, I don't really care anymore. I think at this point it's time to throw a customer a bone and say hey sorry we screwed up your drink and can't deliver on your order. Next drink is on us. read more

How hard could it be to order an ice tea without ice? Well, stopped by this place and was disappointed. Not only did the person who was making it looked dazed and confused, it took about 15 minutes for him to get help making it. Then afterwards, they tell me they can re-make it but it would take another 2 minutes. For Prte's sake! Outstanding customer service. read more

While the baristas were really nice and did a good job, the two young girls too interested in talking to the men took my coffee order wrong. So after we waited about 15 min for a coffee I had to wait longer because the girls didn't pay attention. But props to the guy with braces and a hat. He understands great customer service! read more

I checked out this Coffee & Tea cafe. I liked the atmosphere; seemed to be very orangic and simple. I liked the fact we got our coffee in "real" cup not a to go paper cup; you get those even if you sit inside the cafe. It is nice to sit in a coffee house and enjoy good company and good energy. Despite how nice the staff was and everything else about the coffee and tea house; I thought the price for their coffee beans were a bit too pricey and you're not even getting a pound of coffee beans. I definitely support local cafes therefore I feel I'm being a positive and I'm happy to know I am help keeping a local business stay in business. I also loved the fact the made a beautiful decoration on the coffee. You don't get that at Starbucks or Peets; that's more considered like a "fast coffee" on the go. Although I will take a Peets coffee any day. Because the two guys working there were awfully friendly and helpful I will definitely be coming back. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews but I've given this place two tries and was very disappointed both times, two different baristas. First time I ordered a decaf iced vanilla latte and lemon blueberry scone. They first got the order wrong and didn't make decaf, and forgot my scone and I had to ask for it, but ok, it happens. The scone was decent, and their other goodies certainly looked good. My bigger issue was with the drinks. Both times I thought they tasted like sweet milk, no coffee flavor and had grit in the bottom. Husband had an iced mocha and was also disappointed - had a bitter chocolate grit in the bottom. Our old coffee shop premixed the chocolate and milk and it made for a creamy wonderful drink. Think we will try another Indy coffee shop. read more

The fact that I'm actually taking time to right this lengthy comment should give you an idea of how horrible the coffee in this place tastes. Yuk!!!! The coffee really sucks here!!!! Also, the atmosphere in this coffee shop leaves something to be desired. I could not put my finger on what exactly was missing in this coffee shop (other then the awful coffee). Oh! Maybe it was the lack of mocha varieties, the cheap looking plastic bag decor hanging from the ceiling, or the lose floor board that I stepped on near the cash register. On second thought, no, it couldn't have been those minuscule things. Hhmmm....It must have been the fact that it felt crampy and almost closter phobic because as I turned to the person who was sitting next to me I could swear that I was so close that I could see their ear wax. In addition to these flaws, this coffee shop is also missing a musical instrumental element that tends to place people in a relaxed mood. There is no smooth jazz or light classical music playing softly in the background, so the only vibe you get when you walk in the door is the one you first receive from the lone patron cowering in the corner of the shop with their book on 'Undoing Depression'. I wonder if this person has ever given any thought that coming to this coffee shop may be one of the reasons why she is depressed. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the two gentlemen staffers were less then cheerful and really looked like they did not want to even be there. Cheer up guys because there are plenty of people without a job that would love to have yours. Looking like zombies when a customer comes in will not keep or bring in new business. Better yet, just work on making better coffee why don't ya!! So to sum up my experience: HORRIBLY BITTER/NASTY COFFEE, DISAPPOINTING DECOR, & ZOMBIE-LIKE BARISTAS. read more

All coffee shops should be kind of like Bloom. Comfortable, with couches for lounging and tables for working; free wi-fi for students and professionals; and an exceptional coffee selection. In some respects, it's incredibly simple and in other ways, I find it kind of unique. Unlike chain coffee shops, the menu isn't three feet wide with frappuccinos, smoothies, and random new concoctions; they offer coffee, lattes, cappuccinos and a couple of other standard offerings. Their coffee menu is cool, though. They have a list of 8 - 10 coffees from which you can choose -- blends from Burundi, El Salvador, Colombia, etc. with a short description of each. Being a coffee lover, I appreciated the selection and REALLY liked being able to taste the difference in the coffees. I tend to top it off with soy and throw in a couple of splashes of sugar-free syrup at standard coffee shops but at this one, that felt kind of sacrilegious. Awesome, delicious coffee in a cool setting -- definitely a WIN! read more

First, the good. Their coffee is out of this world. My partner used to work at Verve in Santa Cruz and that's the coffee that they serve here. I'm a huge fan of their organic vanilla latte. It is delicious. They also have power outlets for laptops. The bad: super slow wifi. Yes it's free but the slowest wifi I've ever used in a coffee shop. Also, the is pretty small. There's not much room in here. Also, it's always super cold in here, even in the winter. They like to keep the door open. It's a bit annoying since the whole point of being in a coffee shop is to hang out, drink coffee and stay warm. During the summer, they blast the AC for no reason. It should be a concern when everyone in the coffee shop is wearing their jackets and shivering. Their selection of tea is good, but they're black teas are a joke. Not super fresh and not very potent. I give this place five stars for their coffee, but because of their other drawbacks I can't give them more than three. read more

I'm in love with the place. I don't really have a local "go-to" coffee place but I love it here. The environment is very relaxed and the staff are seriously super friendly and down to earth.
