Fellow yelpers, I should have listened to you, but I was enticed by a place that serves breakfast until 4 p.m. How is it possible for a place like that to suck? And then I went to Bloom. I didn't believe the reviews that the service was terrible. I figured that every restaurant has an off day or night and that sucky servers would be promptly disposed of. Nope. The food was marginal, my friend's iced coffee never came and the service was about as bad as I have ever had in LA. I cannot think of a reason to go back there. No, thank you! First of all, they called to "confirm" our order after placing it via Eat24. I think really they wanted to call us out for not tipping, little did they know that we always do with cash. Secondly, delivery guy called my boyfriend to say he was out front, but my boyfriend's phone was on silent (his bad) and boyfriend called back LITERALLY 4 minutes later. Guy answered, said he was down the street and was turning around, boyfriend apologized for not answering. Guy forgot to hang up his phone and we could hear him throwing a hissy fit, calling my boyfriend a "fucking asshole" and yelled out to "answer the fucking phone next time." Nice, dude, nice. My boyfriend went to meet him, came back inside, and said the guy's breath smelled of alcohol??? Third, WRONG ORDER! Noticed they wrote "no tip" on the receipt. Really??? We called the restaurant instead of that delivery guy, wanted to deal with him as little as possible. Lastly, guy came back with our order, didn't apologize; in fact, he didn't say anything. Here's the idyllic scenario. Organic, quasi-healthy food in a hip-ish atmosphere. Set in the middle of a part of LA going through rapid resurgence and gentrification. Here's where it falls apart. The service and attitude presented by the owner and staff make it impossible to endorse this place. Take your pick. Rude, unprofessional, ignorant or arrogant. All of the above on some occasions, maybe one or two during on all others. A brief list of greatest hits for those thinking of going: 1) Double charged credit card. Took 3 weeks of constant calls and messages to get any sort of response. Finally went in, in person, only to receive an arrogant "I'll just pay you cash" and no apology whatsoever. 2) 15 minute wait on a to-go smoothie, while the counter staff lounge around joking and laughing. 3) Calling for take-out and asking for the specials. Response from Bloom's famously un-professional staff? "Fish I think.. let me check (wait 5 minutes) it's sturgeon.. with stuff on top" Understand this... all the organic ingredients, played-out web 2.0 logo design and ikea aesthetic in the world does NOT make up for utterly unacceptable lack of service and courtesy you will experience at Bloom. My advice? Go to CJ's or Sky's. It's truly local and while it may not serve organic, it's good and they appreciate your business. read more

This place is right by my apartment and is vegetarian-friendly, so I come here all the time. It's a super cute lime green and white café inside and outside there are little tables that are lit up with cute candles at night. The menu is full of vegetarian and vegan options (bonus points) and even the options for meat-eaters are great (grass-fed beef burger, turkey burger, etc.) I like places that actually pay attention to where the food is coming from and use farm-fresh ingredients and I feel like Bloom does just that. As a vegetarian, I usually opt for the vegan miracle wrap, it's delicious, filled with lentils and avocado and the sauce is the best part. I get the brown rice on the side, which isn't your typical brown rice. I thought it was going to be boring but it's delicious and I don't feel super guilty eating it because it's brown rice, gotta be healthy for you right? I got the salad on the side once instead and honestly it wasn't much of a salad, just lettuce and dressing, I like tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, something else on the salad, not just lettuce. So I switched to brown rice and I'm glad I did! Another thing about this place is their juices and smoothies... they are unique and SO good. There are a lot to choose from but I really don't think you can go wrong. I'd highly suggest coming here for brunch, they have a good breakfast menu but they also have awesome food for dinner and lunch. What I find so refreshing about this great little cafe, is the fact that it offers healthy food choices for vegans, vegetarians AND meat eaters. Usually places like this offer fish, turkey or chicken for the rest of us - the usual "healthy meats". I was pleasantly surprised to also find GRASS FED BEEF on the menu. Not only does grass fed beef taste good, it is how cows should be raised. In nature, they eat grass and grass alone. No grains. Grains are very hard for them to digest. So, putting these poor animals into huge feed-lots and stuffing them with corn and soy to fatten them up quickly, is pure torture. It results in meat that has given beef its unhealthy reputation. I love eating healthy, but I don't necessarily want my food to taste healthy, if you know what I mean. My friends love their meat burgers here, so I've come along and tried a few of their vegan offerings, but have yet to be blown away. The Funky Monkey smoothie had good flavor but wasn't smooth enough and was too thick for the straw. The granola was nice, I loved the addition of goji berries, but it's not something I'd be compelled to eat again. For dinner, I was so excited to try the Vegetarian Curry bowl, but it was just missing a little oomph to take it to the next level where I'd want to eat it again. It's probably the healthiest curry I've ever eaten, which is great, but I can't see myself craving for it anytime soon. It was chock full of veggies and I loved the brown rice, which had some finely shredded carrot distributed throughout, again making it the healthiest curry I've ever had. You can't even taste the carrots! I think if the curry was a little richer, we'd have a winner, but as it stands, I'm not impressed. My favorite things about this place are the cucumber water and the ginger lemonade. I'm sure I'll be back to try a few more things, so hopefully I'll find something to love! read more

Delicious food, tragic service. 1st time eating here: Our nice but incompetent waiter forgot to put our order in or? ...We waited about a half an hour and asked repeatedly for our food while we watched every table which came in after us get served. When I asked to speak with the manager, as we had still not received our food she came over with an obvious negative attitude, argued with me and then offered us free dessert "to make us happy". I explained that we didn't want a dessert, we wanted our lunch which had still not arrived. She continued to argue with me about how many minutes it had been (38? 47?) since our order was placed regardless of the fact that clearly something had gone wrong on their end. Ultimately our food came out and was delicious. In the end she grudgingly offered us a "discount" but then our waiter (or someone?) added a coffee drink that didn't belong on our bill. More going round and finally we can pay and leave. Based on food alone, I would be willing to go back --but I would try to avoid said waiter and manager if possible. BLOOM IS WORTH A SHOT Bloom Cafe 5544 Pico Blvd. Los Angeles (323) 934-6900 It's hip, it's into organic, it's surprisingly big for a neighborhood cafe with several eating areas including indoor tables, back enclosed patio and tables out front. We found parking right in front and found our little dog was welcome as he flopped under our table and flirted with everyone who walked by... including the occasional pigeon. The service was lacking even though it wasn't busy, but I was able to occupy myself with the intriguing listing of "wellness enhancers" that you could select to supplement or enhance your juice or smoothies. For $1.25 you can get Flax Seed Oil, Dr. Green's Superfood, Echinacea, Aloe, Bee Pollen, MSM, Hemp Protein, Ginger or Spirulina. Wow! Look out Jamba Juice! Their less-virtuous caffeinated offerings were more what we were looking for, so we had lattes with non-fat milk. I ordered the fritatta but found it sadly lacking in the roasted red peppers, carmelized onions and olives that were promised, it was just eggy and dry with a decidedly over-browned crust that I pulled off like a lid. Only 1 slice of our toast came toasted and the waiter warned us that it would "take a while" to get us more bread that was actually toasted. He wasn't kidding. 1/2 hour later we got 1/2 a slice of cold toast. Hudson ordered the salmon omelet and it was really good! Nice smoked salmon and the perfect amount of sour cream. We were excited to try this place out especially because it was recommended and we had a few hours to study. I noticed the sign that said "no laptops". Before ordering food I wanted to make sure that it was 1) okay to stay order food and study FLASH CARDS and the lady was kind and said yes, then the man, GERARD(almost bald dude), comes up behind her and she verifies with him that if it's okay and he states rudely "No Electronics" and I said "not even our phones?" I really wanted to give Bloom a good review. I was home sick yesterday with a horrific migraine. And there was nothing to eat in the house. I'd scrounged up the last of some tortilla chips and some halfway-to-raisinville grapes in the bottom of the crisper...but I was hungry. And I knew that part of why I wasn't feeling better was that I needed food. So I Yelped around looking for places that delivered and were within a coupla' miles of my house...and Bloom fit the bill. The girl on the phone was nice. I asked if 2 miles was too far away, and she said no. I actually only live 1.2 miles away from this restaurant. I placed an order and gave her my address. "What's your cross street?" "I'm a couple blocks west of Adams and a couple blocks south of Crenshaw." "Wha??? Um...we don't deliver...there. That's really far away." "No, it's less than a mile and a half away. It's not that far at all." Then she put her boss on the phone. "We don't deliver THERE. It would be too out of our way. That is too far from our restaurant." He started stammering excuses. He sounded very nervous. Odd. Other places have simply given me cross streets "These streets are our boundaries. Do you live within these parameters? No? Do you want to pay a coupla' bucks extra if you're just a few blocks outside the parameters?" I offered to pay a bit extra since I was just barely over a mile away. This has usually been sufficient to secure delivery..when I lived in Hancock Park. Interestingly...not this time. The man sounded like he was peeing his pants. Keep in mind...I could only have sounded like exactly what I was: A somewhat tired woman in her 20s who was trying to maintain her sense of humor. "That's ok" I said, making it clear it was anything BUT ok, "I understand. You just don't want to deliver to ethnic neighborhoods." and I hung up. In the end I popped a bunch of painkillers and stumbled to El Nido which does not deliver, but is nearby enough that I could get there without feeling too much like death. Interestingly a lot of Yelpers have said "Too bad El Nido is in a bad neighborhood." to which I feel I must reply "Thank goodness El Nido is in MY neighborhood which is, in fact, a really lovely neighborhood and only sadly bereft of enough good healthy places to eat." Strange, I know, but true: it's not just folks in Hollywood who deserve good restaurants. It is not a pity to have a good restaurant available to people who do not live north of the 10, and no one on my block full of charming and sweet families is going to jump and kill the guy from a mile down the street delivering a salmon salad to the neighborhood girl on the corner who is home sick with a headache. But I guess if they're too far to deliver then they're too far for me or my neighbors to go and eat when we feel like going out for dinner nearby. read more

I have come here several times now, the food is good. I usually get the grilled salmon over brown rice and I love it. They always prepare it for me medium rare so that it's nice and tender (it's never actually medium rare). The service is good apart for one employee here who might have some vendetta against me.. He always seems a bit bitter so I keep returning in hopes that I won't be served by him, but I'm not aggressive about it. The seating is really tight and close... I'm visually measuring 10" to my right and 14" to my left between tables. Today I really wanted to sit by the window and consciously looked to see how busy it was, because the window seat sits up to 6, and they were at maybe 10% filled up in heahhh. So I sat my happy ass down.. Guess who comes to greet me. "Are you dining in?" "Yes.." "How many?" "Just me.." "Do you want to move to a smaller table maybe?" I mean of course I got up and moved.. But I couldn't justify why that was necessary when you can push together as many tables as you want here if they somehow got a second wind of high traffic late lunch goers like me.. This was at 2:30pm. Then when I asked "what is that tea you guys have that has like a peach or apricot taste" (which I had the last 3 times here) he said, "yeah, I don't think we've ever had that." So I succumbed to an Earl Grey. But I'm just venting.. Trying to justify my 4 stars. If it was this one occurrence.. Eh. But... I get treated a bit oddly by this one. I don't know who put "Good for kids: No" on this establishment, but I have to say that Bloom was great for my kid. Bloom has high-chairs. The staff isn't afraid to pick up the umpteenth straw my kid dropped from said high-chair. And our server made silly faces at our son from across the room to keep him happy. She even came over several times to play with him. Okay, enough with the kid stuff.... The food here is fresh, tasty, and organic. The staff is friendly and attentive. Their salads are amazing. The BYOB freedom needs to be imitated by all restaurants, everywhere. The environment is reminiscent of a slightly classier Jamba Juice which is both good and bad - sure it's clean and orderly, but it's not really an ambiance you want for a dinner. The food is very good and not on the expensive side, but it's just not really date-worthy place... unless you're bringing a ton of expensive wine and want to not worry about corkage fees or a high bill. I had a funky green tea chai latte before we popped open our bottle of wine. The chai? It was on the bitter side but what was weird was that the consistency of the foam was that of oatmeal - thick and grainy. After we popped open our Malbec, things got better with an excellent nicoise salad that preceded a fantastic salmon brown rice bowl. I highly recommend the rice bowl for anyone gearing up to drink (which I was). It was hearty, perfectly cooked, very tasty, and came with an awesome miso teriyaki dressing to top it all. The food at Bloom Cafe is fantastic! My cousin generously asked me if I'd like to go have lunch following an 8 mile hike we had just finished. I ordered a delicious smoked turkey and feta omelette, which featured avocado, roasted red pepper, feta, and garlic. I was in heaven. On the recommendation of my cousin, I also ordered a side of brown rice, which as promised, was fantastic. I also had a refreshing crushed mint lemonade. They offer many other combinations of freshly squeezed juices, like "The Cleanser," with apple, lemon, spinach, and ginger. I didn't think I'd be a fan, but I tried a sip of this and actually liked it! I don't know about the name of that one, though. My only complaint about Bloom Cafe would be about the service, which is unfortunate, since the food is wonderful. We waited longer than we should have for some parts of our meal and were nearly brought someone else's meals while we were waiting for our food to arrive. My cousin frequents Bloom Cafe and mentioned that he's had problems with receiving the wrong food, waiting longer than a person should for service, etc more than once during his visits there. Being the patient person that I am, I would still go back to try Bloom Cafe again. Staff was great but my online order arrived cold. I ordered a few items bc I was too lazy to cook lunch/dinner. The food seemed to have a lot of potential but it's hard to enjoy cold garlic fries with a cold veggie burger. I just dipped it all in the warm green sauce that came with it. I was starving!!! Chicken Mac n cheese was the best out of everything but probably because it was warmer than the rest of the food. But it tastes off since chicken tasted like it was not as wRm as pasta and possibly cooked separately. Salmon had a great toasted glaze on it and I'm sure it might've been better had I not already ate half of my cold veggie burger n fries. Again, staff was nice when I called to confirm my order and the delivery guy had a positive energy that made me smile after having a long day. Would I order delivery again? Nope. But I might try to eat in to try their food when it's not cold. Oh yeah, when I called the guy confirmed I didn't want to add a tip. It was kinda weird at first but I get it. When I moved into Picfair village, I was super stoked to have a place with Vegan options within walking distance. The food is kind of pricey for what you get, and the veggie options are limited and underwhelming. That said, it was the following exchange that secured Bloom a third star ceiling, although I think it would have earned it anyway. The waitress tells us there is a 3-cheese mac and cheese. Recently exploring dairy for the first time in years, I went for it. About 20 bites into the dish, I started to notice pieces of meat at the bottom of the bowl. Now when you are vegetarian, and you have told the waitress that, thats a pretty bad move. Accidents happen, and a good waiter/tress can make it all better with a sincere apology and perhaps a comp. At bloom, this waitress had another, less effective strategy. Why not just pretend you said it had meat and give me an attitude? I consulted with the others at the table, all who agreed she was lying and not very cool. Then I overheard another waiter telling his tables about the special. I heard him mention it twice, never saying it had meat. Mac and cheese doesnt usually have meat, so thats kind of an important detail at a place that also caters to vegetarians. I called this other waiter over, and he said he didnt even know the dish had meat. Then my waitress came back with a non-meat version, and plenty of attitude. She slammed it on the table, and told me that I basically should have asked for this one in the first place. I am understanding of mistakes. Bloom, you done messed this one up big time. Anyway, that all aside, its nice to have more interesting places in the neighborhood, and I am glad it exists, but I don't have many reasons to go there again. read more

I used to live just blocks away from Bloom Café and have sadly moved away, but I still venture southeast for that little piece of heaven on Pico. Service isn't always quick, but prices are pretty decent considering everything is organic/locally grown. Best of all, no corkage fee, so bring a bottle and enjoy. Breakfast: Their Huevos Rancheros are phenomenal. Crispy tortillas layered with beans, cheese, salsa and sour cream and two big runny fried eggs. I wouldn't exactly call them traditional Mexican style... they're more of a fresh California-inspired version of the dish, but its somehow not greasy and tastes great. Lunch: Their Mac N Cheese is tasty- breadcrumbs on top, hearty chunks of chicken inside, and a creamy white blend of cheeses. Not for those on a diet or watching their figure! Their veggie burger is pretty hearty and so is the turkey chili. I also love their garlic fries, but they don't carry Ranch dressing (a must for my fries) so I had to settle for ketchup. If you get fruit on the side, it's the good stuff- not just grapes and cantaloupe. Dinner: I'm not usually a fan of thin crust pizza, but the pizza with lamb sausage and sweet peppers was unbelievable and much to my date's chagrin, I ate the entire pizza. Could have done without the olives, but I just picked them off. Drinks: Their water is amazing. No, not bottled. Just ask for a regular glass of water and they will bring you a cucumber infused quencher. I couldn't pinpoint why the tap water tasted so great, but on your way to the restroom, you can see their water filter as you pass the kitchen... it has slices of cucumber floating in it. Ive never ordered their juices or smoothies, but they always look so tasty and I usually end up envying another table with some frothy green or pink drink. A co-worker recommended this place to me, and it happens to be less than a 10-minute walk from where I live. The first thing you notice when you sit down and look at the menu are the variety of healthy choices. There are many vegan and vegetarian, as well as organic options. (Although grass-fed beef purists be warned, we looked up the ranch's website and their diet is actually finished off with corn-- kind of defeats the purpose of calling any beef "grass fed" there.) I ordered the Moroccan Chicken on Couscous. It makes for a really hearty meal and I loved the added sweetness of the dates and raisins with the crunch of the almonds. The dinner prices are mid range, which is to be expected for fresh and organic ingredients. (The least expensive sandwich is $10.) The decor inside was modern in shades of green and orange, very modern L.A. chic with a touch of call-back to the 1970's, if that makes any sense. We had a couple friends join us close to closing time for the kitchen, so they kind of had to order at the very last minute. Although rushed and kind of irritated (understandable), our server was accommodating which I very much appreciated. I will be back! Bloom is right around the corner from me, and I pass by the cute cafe all the time, thinking "some day i will try that spot". Well today was that day! Originally planning to meet a friend for a late lunch at newly opened My Two Cents, we instead ended up at Bloom. :) I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars as the entire experience was amazing. Greeted immediately, very personable,knowledgable and attentive staff, amazing restaurant vibe/decor. People were coming in and out like a real neighborhood health cafe! People just seemed happy to be there, and shooot lemme tell you, that energy is contagious! I myself ordered the Vegetarian Curry with Brown Rice which was very good, nice balance of flavors. My friend ordered their Turkey burger with a side of fries, and he loved and finished the plate with a smile:)! We both love spicy food, so we were eager to try their homemade hot sauce, and loved that as well! I appreciate that they have something for everyone on their menu, vegetarian food isn't "better" than the non vegetarian items, everyone wins with great food all round. On top of the great food, our server was oh so sweet, humored us with a short conversation, and was the RIGHT kind of attentive. He brought us two Lattes that someone had mistakenly ordered. Unfortunately the horrible and rude service my friends and I experienced here has made me take off 2 stars. If this review was based off of food alone, it would have earned 4 stars. Since there were so many things that went wrong with our lunch this afternoon, I will form a list: 1. The host asked us if we wanted to sit inside or out, we chose inside, and pointed out a table the just became vacant. The host said he'd clean it off for us, and we could sit there. As soon as it was cleaned off, he sat another party at that very table! When I asked him what happened, he claimed, "They were here first." Which was untrue, as I saw them enter after us. Had that been true, he shouldn't have promised the table to us in the first place. So we got seated outside. 2. It took about 15 minutes for the server to take our drink order. We ordered some (bland) coffee drinks which took about 10 minutes for us to receive. 3. My friend and I ordered sandwiches that came with dry salads on the side. We finally got the attention of our server to ask for dressing, and we received the dressing about 10 minutes after. 4. When signing the bill, I noticed that my credit card number was printed at the top of the bill which is something restaurants are no longer allowed to do, and it's actually illegal to do. So if you pay by credit card there, make sure you scribble over your credit card number at the top. and last but not least, 5. Their "Golden Frittata" is a quiche, NOT a frittata. Repeat take-out orderer at lunch: Three stars for food. Mac n Cheese, Chicken Tandoori dishes are fantastic. Desserts and fresh juices and smoothies are available. Breakfast all day too, I believe. Cost is a little on the pricier end for lunch, $11-$14 per dish. Lots of places to sit and street parking is not terrible for mid-city. Customer service, observed and experienced have been pleaseant and professional. HOWEVER, only reason two stars have been docked is due to the treatment of the employees by what seems like the manager. Please treat your workers with the same respect your customers get. read more

Terrible service! We ordered delivery from them and they arrived with the wrong items. When calling they were unwilling to make the situation right. Not only did we wait over an hour and half for our dinner, it arrived incorrect and we were unable to eat due to dietary restrictions. Such a waste of time and money! read more

This review is for the take out service, since I do enjoy the sit down service. Hate to start out my first review with a negative one, but having worked as a server...well you get the idea. Came in and ordered two juices about an hour before close. Took about 30 minutes. Play by Play: One guy was stuck to the phone and register, like literally wouldn't move from the spot. Even if the phone wasn't ringing and no one was at the register. The to-go area had about 3 people waiting while the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The waiting staff just chilled on their end and attended to the 3 tables. Mind you 2-3 servers were on. After 25min, someone from the kitchen walks around and starts juicing the ordered drinks...doesn't know how to make the drinks so he asks for help. Finally finishes them and here's the kicker: GUY PLACES DRINKS ASIDE AND CHUGS THE LEFTOVERS FROM THE PITCHER. Seriously, what a champ. Places my drinks to the side of the counter and walks away. Cemented to-go guy unaware of my drinks behind him. I stupidly did not try the drinks prior, and ended up with 2 12oz cups of pure lemon and celery juice. Shared the celery juice with the plants off Pico and will keep lemon juice for my whiskey and sour. read more

I went to this restaurant a few months ago to meet a friend for brunch. This cafe is absolutely delightful. We were able to sit outside and have a delicious brunch at rock bottom prices. The service was good and the waiters were friendly. My friend and I had not seen one another for a while, so we had a lot of catching up to do. We wound up sitting and talking for about two hours. No one bothered us or asked us to give up the table. The waiters just checked on us periodically to make sure we were doing OK. If you want to meet a friend or business associate for a meal on a nice sunny springtime or summer day in LA, I highly recommend Bloom Cafe. I've had a lot of things on their menu, and overall they are pretty good. Everything tastes fresh and light - if you are looking for healthier take-out then I def recommend this place. It's not amazing but definitely reliable. However I would stay away from the juices. Once I ordered 3 of the same juice for me and my friends and realized that half of the drink was regular apple juice from a bottle. I understand that's a common base for juices, but if I'm going to pay $6-7 at a restaurant I expect it to be freshly made. read more

I could only imagine what it would be like piping hot. For some reason mine didn't come with cornbread (i got some other carb) but that's cool, I don't like corn bread anyways. *Ahi Tuna Tartare & Avocado Tostada (bby arugula, mesclun mix, cucumber): The dressing on this was SUPER tasty. Very flavorful and light. Highly recommended! *Tandoori Chicken on Quinoa & Lentils (Tomato Apple Chutney) - I love this bowl! It's super tasty but obviously not traditional tandoori. The quinoa tastes like it's infused with coconut milk. Does that still make it healthy? :P *Grilled Salmon on Brown Rice (sprouts, mango, vegetable julienne, baby spinach, miso tamari dressing): Salmon + Mango + Miso? Sounds weird I know! But Bloom Cafe makes it work! *Wild Mahi Mahi Taco: Very tasty. A little fishy at first but nothing the magic sauce can't fix. I believe it comes standard with a side of quinoa but I swapped it out. *Turkey Burger: Meh. Also, I'd avoid the fries that come with it. They're not very exciting. The green pesto-y dip is delicious but I like it better on my sandwich. Many of my coworkers order the Grilled Chicken and Quinoa Salad (diced apple, butternut squash, green beans, spinach, orange blossom honey vinaigrette). It looks awesomely tasty AND healthy. I have a standing appointment across the street from Bloom cafe and I'm so happy about it! They make vegan and vegetarian food taste like real food! I had the ahi tuna tartar tostada salad and I couldn't believe they gave me that much food for $12. It was like 5 whole tunas with crispy homemade chips, fresh arugala , 4 avocados it seemed like and a yummy homemade balsamic vinagrette. The cafe is a little strange and doesn't exactly look that appetizing, and parking can be a bitch, so go after 6pm on the weekedays. I'm telling youthis so that you'll try the salad--go do it! read more

I love Bloom! I've just moved to the neighborhood and I keep on going back. I can't seem to get enough of their simple, well-crafted, healthy, tasty food and am always pleasantly surprised by my low bill. It's great for any meal and has a casual modern atmosphere and friendly staff. Try the grilled salmon on brown rice, the soup du jour (usually veggie friendly), or anything on the breakfast menu. Also, the pizza is really good. Can't wait to try more. read more

I want so many good things for this delicious little hole in the wall. The restaurant is quaint, service was spot on and food was interesting. My boyfriend and I feasted. We had the strawberry lemonade (perfectly balanced), the chili (mushrooms inside were kind of a weird consistency), the steak sandwich on ciabatta (absolutely perfect and delicious in every way) and tandoori chicken with quinoa and lentils (there was some strange taste in this dish that was just not good). I will be back. But I hope next time I love everything. read more

I think I have been too busy dining here to write a review. I was introduced to Bloom by someone who lives up the street. I am so jealous that this is their "neighborhood eatery" that I drive here, from across town, almost every weekend to prove that it can be my eatery too. I love the easy, friendly feel of the whole place. And - the clincher for me is the family atmosphere - totally family friendly without the restaurant devolving into a romper room. I have a baby, have been here with several babies, and have always been made to feel perfectly at home. I love the staff, love the atmosphere, love the pancakes and huevos rancheros.
