The Pickford Chicken Panini Sandwich- so good!!

Oh my!! Rosemary & Thyme just opened up shop in the lobby of my office building. It is raining outside, so I said let's give it a try. I ordered THE PICKFORD CHICKEN PANINI...when I tell you it is one of the best gourmet sandwiches I have ever had...I am so serious right now!!! Excellent!

Picked up the tuna sandwich a couple days ago and WOW - it's delicious and so unique! The bread is so yummy, the pepperoncini on it is delicious, the chickpeas add great texture. Also, it's huge so I ate it in two sittings. I always think wow R&T is expensive, but what you get for the $$ is totally worth it for everything I've tried here so far. Love having this place 2 blocks from my house.

Great little local, no fuss restaurant with appealing food and service. All the ingredients are very fresh, combined together in interesting ways with good presentation. There aren't but a handful of tables and seats, but whether you dine in or take it home, the sandwiches are rather tasty. Staff is all quite friendly, and willing to help you figure out what's good Have had the Saturn Turkey and Tuna open-faced sandwich with micro-greens. Also tried the Mango Lemonade which is made-in house--nicely tart with good mango flavor. Dessert offerings are soft-serve ice cream (with the option of a wafer-like waffle cone), brownies, or cookies. Looking forward to coming back for brunch one weekend.

Ok. So I demolished this before I could take a photo. Suffice to say this is the best freaking lunch spot west of the east side. Yes, you'll pay a little more for the heirloom tomatoes and organic fresh pesto, but it's worth every cent. I rarely eat out because I can make better food at home. Not here. It gives me ideas, delights my senses, you get the idea. Just try it yourself. But please don't make this an Instagram spot because I enjoy the peace and quiet and no line!

Delivery version: The Pickford Chicken Panini Sandwich, french fries and green goddess sauce (tastes like pesto, really good!)

I'm always ordering the orange grove (sandwich and salad version) and the pickford panini and they typically never disappoint. Sometimes the chicken is a little overcooked, but not horrible. Sometimes the bread for the pickford panini is a little too salty but can just be brushed off the top. I always get the side salad with the sandwiches and it is a little salty at the bottom of the container but not the worst. Their cookies are great too and I can't believe they're organic (sometimes a little too mushy in the middle but it's okay)!. When I first found this spot I told my mom about it (she loved it) and then my grandma (she loved it too). Three generations of customers lol. Even my sister favors the buffalo cauliflower (we tried to recreate at home but it can't compare). My mom and grandma loved the summer ceviche which they will miss for fall but they said they stocked up! Their pat go lightly (lemonade) and tony mojo (strawberry lemonade) are good and refreshing (strawberry lemonade is a little inconsistent with sweet/tart levels but still good)! Service is good (even when ordering through Uber eats they fulfill modification requests), typically one woman taking orders in the front (I don't know her name but she's nice) and occasionally I'll see the owner in there (she's nice too). Shout out to the chef too, I've only seen him once but he's doing a great job. Ambiance is nice and inviting, not too many seats but it's never packed packed so it works out. My grandma mentioned that she lived in the area to the owner and gave her the street name, and the owner was kind enough to feature a fall item with that name so I am very appreciative of that! This place appeals to me so much because of the organic ingredients, and I am thankful I can afford to treat myself to this food occasionally. I am also curious what oil you guys fry in?

The Genesee sandwich with poached eggs with tots = best breakfast sandwich I have had in years!!! I

There's such a great selection, and you can tell they put a lot of care into everything they make. And the pizza is a must-try too! Jackson market as a whole in terms of ambiance, variety, taste definitely overtakes bay cities but if you're just talking about comparing food quality sand which to sand which it will be a tough TIE (it's not less) than bay cities. Bay cities is loaded and so is Jackson but bay cities is a little more juicier where the inside sandwich ingredients shine more and you can definitely taste each of the ingredients eg banana peppers meats deli cheese etc. Jackson market's Italian sub had harder bread but I could see like some would argue it's more balanced. It definitely is a little less juicy and even though there were complimentary banana peppers I hardly tasted it at all as it was sprinkled far and few. If you paid for an added topping eg. Jalepenos they were definitely generous with it. Tip: DO NOT get the French baguette toasted as it'll be too hard. The market is fun because it also offers wine selections ($20-$60), not a fun cheese selection like bay cities, pasta salad, bomb tiramisu, has an entire PIZZA OVEN in the back, fun canned drinks including GUAYABA (an aloe tasting like drink), pastries, and chips/snacks. Ambiance - the patio in the back is spacious and big. They don't allow you to bring a computer to work there and the WiFi and service is pretty bad there. Parking - street parking along residential homes 2 subs ($14.99/each), 2 drinks, 1 large chip ($4.95) came out to be around $44. Overall an amazing find. The 10/10 would come back & especially try the pizza. Revolutionary in food taste ? Probably not but revolutionary in enjoyability and spot find? 1000%. Happy munching !

I got the chai latte and a hummus bowl with falafel (though as I write this I can't remember if that was the actual menu name of the dish). It was delicious--the falafel was one of the best I've ever had taste wise, and a bit on the airy side instead of being super dense, which I appreciated. Sometimes falafel is too dang dry, and they really got it right. The hummus was phenomenal. I'm really such a sucker for a good, quality hummus and it was so creamy and the oil they topped it with was wonderful too. This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service.
