I was extremely satisfied with the work. I walked in on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy so I was able to be seen right away. Nail techs and staff were friendly. Price was reasonable for two designs on each hand was $10 extra. It's extremely clean, tools appeared to be sterile. The entire salon was beautiful. read more

Tony is an absolute magician!! I went there a few weeks ago and he did such an amazing job on my nails. He did builder gel and amazing cat eye polish and the exact shape I wanted - which my last nail tech wouldn't do because almond was "too unstable". So already I'm so happy. At my next appointment he asked if I wanted a pedicure. Yes please! But I have problematic toes. Well Tony made everything right today. My toes have been my biggest shame for the last 10+ years. I'm missing big portions of my big toe nails. Well not anymore!! Tony fixed them right up!! They look totally normal!! I feel like a whole new person on top of it!! August 2nd my wife came in to get a Pedicure. I was asked if we had an appointment? My wife said no. One of the employees told her to come back after 1PM. We called and made an appointment for Sunday August 17th 10AM. Arriving on time for the appointment the employee told us The employee told us to come back later after 11. Paid $60 for dip powder, and it's been less than a week and they are cracking and falling off :( As someone who has had multiple dip manicures, it is not meant to deteriorate that fast, and definitely not for that price. read more

I started coming here on a whim when my normal place was closed, but I love it here and haven't gone back to my old place. Theara is my girl and her sets are always amazing. I called the evening before my appointment and was quoted $70 for a gel mani and regular pedi. I decided to do chrome half way through my appointment. I was then charged for $100 for my services. Of course I understand I will be charged extra for chrome but $30 seems exorbitant!! read more

I am a regular client of Darren's and he's the absolute best - I get a GelX manicure every 2-3 weeks (they literally last 3 weeks and never break). He can do any design, he doesn't burn you when taking your nails off, the nail glue doesn't pile up under the nail, he doesn't leave a gap between your cuticle and the nail itself... you get it. My point is, it took me SO long to find a regular nail artist that can do GelX the way I like it and he's the one! Highly recommend Darren if you're a GelX / dip addict like me! read more

I needed a manicure without much notice for a commercial shoot and so went here for just a simple manicure, clear coat and... it was not worth it. They were immediate to set my appt which I did appreciate, but my nails were not even and the clear coat was just the first coat that is typically done before anything else. I'm thankful this was reimbursed for me by the job, and perhaps my explanation for what I needed could have been more clear, but until I figure that piece out-- I'll be trying out other places. read more

0 respect for peoples time! I came here the day before Thanksgiving but had booked the appointment for 3pm with Darren & received confirmation . The day of the appointment I arrived early for a pedicure. There were at least 3 other technicians with nothing to do from the time I arrived at 220 and had a pedicure . Darren's appointment left promptly at 3 and he decided to take another client at the last minute Darren told me he'd be 15 minutes late I waited . Then I told the other technician I needed to be out by 5 that I can't wait past 4pm 410 rolled around. I just left! Instead of letting another tech take this last minute client, they chose to lose a potential loyal client No respect whatsoever or sense or peoples' time read more

I love this local place and it is the best compared to surrounding Nail salons on the west side. I had my nails done (gel) at another salon in Playa Vista and it was a horrible experience that left me with crocodile nails. I had gone to Tip Toes to see if they could fix the damage and the woman who worked on my nails did such an incredible job and made them look so natural. I could tell she took pride in her work and wanted to do her best job to make them look pretty. I returned a few days later to have them removed because I cannot work with fake nails . The owner is so kind and he offered to remove them for free. He was so personable and I could tell he loves his work and his customers. If you haven't already checked out this place, I highly recommend that you do. read more

Bad customer service. Today I called them at 4pm, asking if I could come in about 20 minutes for a regular pedicure. The guy said sure, come on in. When I arrived, after putting money in the meter outside, he told me I had to wait. I told him that I called in advance asking specifically if they could take me. He replied "you called not too long ago. It's a short notice. I'm taking you as a walk-in even though you called..." (I wish he told me that over the phone!) and then he added "if you don't want to wait you can go, we don't care" So rude! Why would you have me come in if you don't have enough people working / too busy to take me? He said the wait time is 5-10 minutes but after 15 minutes I noticed no one there is even close to finish with other clients , so I decided to leave. Won't be back. There are so many others nail salon in the area. read more

I've been going to Darren for a year now and I've never been disappointed. His technique and artistry is unmatched. It is a bit on the pricier side (my sets avg -~$120, gel x long length w/ design) but I've been to tons of different nail salons before, and never once felt like it wasn't worth it here! I get compliments on my nails all the time plus I've recently had a set done by him last for 2 months on my nails without any lifting. Everyone else here is vert sweet and Darren is always a fun chat during appointments. I've referred tons of friends to him and I will continue to be one of his regulars for as long as I live in LA! read more

It cost $70 for a fill on acrylic. I was quoted this based off the fact that I had medium length nails and wanted to go shorter. The guy who did my nails cut my cuticles and made me bleed on 2 fingers, which didn't stop bleeding for a few days. He never apologized for it and continually poured acetone and squeezed it when I told him it hurt and I flinched. He said "oh it's fine, just a little cut". And one came out longer than the rest, which is the first nail he filed, and should've set the precedent for the rest of the nails. The prices and the quality don't match, next time, I'm sticking with my original nail tech in Los Angeles. Who only charged $40 for fills. read more

I love this place! Darren did an amazing job, and the best thing is that he didn't rush my manicure just to get it done and move on to the next person. He was really nice, funny, and detail oriented. The rest of the staff were super sweet as well. The nail salon itself is amazing; they play house music so the vibe is fun and light, the tubs have this gorgeous mermaid unicorn iridescent tile in them, overall it's very clean and bright. It's more expensive than my usual place but worth it. Will definitely be back! read more

AMAZING! I came in as a walk in and met Darren who said he was pretty much solidly booked. He said his next client would be coming in 20 mins and it would be too rushed. Then he saw the state of my nails from the last technician I saw else where... he said "you need to sit down, let's stop wasting time, we need to make these classy and beautiful". My favorite nail technician moved out of the area so I decided to give this place a try since it had so many good reviews. I went yesterday for a regular manicure and pedicure and even though I've made an appointment, I still had to wait almost half an hour. I went in the evening and the sun was shining straight into my eyes so I couldn't see what my nails really looked liked when I left. This morning I took a closer look and saw what a sloppy job they did. My manicure looks equally sloppy. Very disappointing! I will not be coming back! read more

I love this place! My boyfriend even commented... that's your spot. Go every three weeks. Go there forever. Darren does amazing nail art and today I met another talented nail artist, Eric. I'll definitely request him again. Not only is he an excellent technician but also he's really nice. He helped me pick the best color, Ferrari red! I did gel-x because my natural nails don't grow. If you are looking for a good go to, reliable nail shop, this is literally the place to go. Darren is an absolute KING when it comes to doing acrylic and gel X sets. I have been going to him for around six months now and have never ever been unsatisfied with my nails. The quality is amazing and they last so long, along with the fact that they always turn out cute and he gives the best suggestions. everyone here is so nice and welcoming, I highly highly recommend!!! Just make sure to call and book an appointment because they do get very busy, but SOO worth the wait!! read more

While I was there, I translated everything being said from Russian into English--and I was shocked. The way the staff spoke about clients, right in front of them, was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Just because someone isn't visibly reacting doesn't mean they don't understand or aren't translating. As for the service: my nails looked okay at first, but the polish was too translucent. I asked for additional coats, but the adjustments made were minimal. After the appointment, I contacted the salon via WhatsApp to politely ask if they could fix a couple of things. Instead of being receptive, they dismissed my concerns entirely, saying they didn't see anything wrong--and then stated I'd have to pay for a fix. That part really baffled me. If they "don't see" an issue, how can they justify charging to fix it? The communication was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. It's no surprise they currently have a 3.4-star rating on Yelp. It would've been far more professional to simply resolve the issue and retain a returning customer, rather than respond with attitude and brush off valid concerns. I've attached screenshots of the conversation and photos of the nails for reference.
