As soon as that tire light comes on, I panic. I've filled my own tires before, but you never know what the problem is. I went to yelp and found all these 5 star reviews for this place and decided to call and bring my car in. I assumed it would be quick, but they asked me to leave my car and I did. I get back to work and within 30 minutes, it's ready to pick up. Ok, back to the shop. Turns out, my tire pressure was off. How much would I pay for something like that? $85.00 - That's crazy expensive for air. I have paid a lot less to repair a tire. I felt ripped off and couldn't do a thing about it. I only wish I got the same service that all these 5 stars reviews got. Never again, not even for gas. read more

Stay away from the smog testing guy. I took my car in and the first thing he did was rev it WAY to high. A lot! I never treat my car that way. He then proceeded to do the rest of the smog check, then charged me $60 just to tell me that it failed because he saw smoke when he revved it up. It passed everything else. He just failed it because he saw smoke when he brought it up to much higher RPMs than that car ever gets. I then took it to a real smog check guy and told him the story. He said he would have to rev it up too. I told him to go ahead. He revved it to a normal RPM and like magic, no smoke. He did the full smog check and it passed. That guy at the Blossom Hill Valero smog check station has no clue about cars. Don't trust him with your car. read more

I don't know what's going on, I received a quote on December 26 for a smog test for a flat fee of $29.00. Just show the Yelp reply to the technician. I went yesterday the 29th and was informed the technician called in sick. I showed the Yelp reply to the person working at the station and asked if it was valid. She said no, that was from the old owners and they weren't Valero anymore. The fee would be $68.00. So the place changed hands in three days? I don't know what's going on, but it was a waste of time and I went elsewhere to get a smog test. read more

I needed a smog check for my car and unfortunately it didn't pass the first time. After taking my car to the mechanic and fixing the issue, Blossom Valley Smog retested my smog for free! They have a free retest if your first test doesn't pass. Thankfully my car was fixed and passed the second smog check. I would highly recommend this spot. read more

This place is okay. The owner Mario is really nice, he's usually in the garage doing some paperwork. His staff consists mostly of teens from Leigh (at least it seems that way). They're all helpful. They have free air and water so you don't have to fumble around your car looking for two quarters. read more

Pure crap. Guy tried to rip me off by telling me that my transmission needed to be ripped open and quoted me $3400+ plus to fix. OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I stopped by for a smog check which I do there every year. Austin was there to take my information and inquire if I had AAA membership so I could get my registration tags immediately. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He immediately checked with Mario, owner, to confirm if a smog check could be done since Mario was just stopping in to do some office work and was actually on vacation. Mario was fabulous to say he would take care of it and 30 minutes later it was completed. Check out was fast and I was off to AAA to get my registration tags immediately! I came here for a smog check because it was close to my daughter's dance class and I had time to kill. I was quoted $50 for a smog check which I think is a bit pricier than most places but I agreed since it was convenient. After 15 minutes, i was told my smog failed, not because there was anything wrong with my car, but that my car computer monitors had recently been reset and it was not "testable". He told me I still had to pay (which I was OK with) even though technically he did nothing. But when i asked if I could bring it back once the monitors were ready, he said I would have to pay again. He was extremely rude and defensive about it. I have gone to a few other places since and they confirmed that in this scenario, they would not charge the second time if I went back. I don't think I will even get gas from this place moving forward based on principal. read more

Great Service at Blossom Valley Valero!! I had my SUV serviced for an oil change. While doing the inspection, Mario and his staff noticed some "staining" on the radiator. Mario and his crew were able to install a new radiator and hoses and get me back on the road again. My tire pressure light came on so I stopped at this Valero gas station. I tried to test the pressure but the air line didn't have a pressure reading on it so I asked for some help from a young man I the garage area. He got a portable pressure reader and tested all my tires. It turned out none of them were actually low. When I started the car the light didn't come on. I offered a tip but he refused. My wife works very close to this shop, and had stopped by for an emergency tire repair. It turned out her tire only needed air, but that didn't stop them from charging $20 for "labor" which consisted of them simply putting air in the tire. I think Chris K. Should understand that even mechanics make mistakes from time to time...with that being said...so do Doctors. Mario is awesome. I was referred to him from Vic at West Valley Auto Tech in Campbell. He was booked and so I took my 2004 Dodge Durango to Mario as I trust Vic's opinion. Mario had to replace all four rotors and all break pads and even remove seized rotors on the rears. He also had to replace a transmission gasket and repair an A arm leak. I had him do a lube oil and filter also. He even gave me a AAA discount without me asking. He had my car ready by end of day and it runs like new now. Had a tire w/a slow leak. Since this place is near by I stopped to have the tire repaired. Was told there was a staple near the edge of the tire and could not be repaired. I looked around on Yelp for another tire repair location and found Tire Merchants located at 13th and Old Oakland - there was a nail in the middle of the tire, NOT along the edge as the guy at Blossom Valley Valero claimed. Trip out to Tire Merchants was worth it - less than 1 hour to drive back and forth and for the tire to be repaired. read more

If you want great service and an honest assessment at a competitive price call Mario. My family has been bringing our vehicles to Mario for more than 30 years. We get tremendous service each time. The young adults that work there are always helpful and polite. A few years back, I had to take my car to a dealership for a warranty issue. They came back to me saying that my brakes were so bad that they should not let me drive the truck off of the lot. They gave a list of belts and fluids that needed replacing immediately. I took the list to Mario who told me that based on the amount of driving that I did, I should have the brakes replaced in three months. He set up a timeline of when the various belts and fluids should be replaced, again based on the amount that I drive. I walked out of Mario's shop paying a fraction of the dealership price.
