    French toast.
    Gid K.

They switched from full service to POS & phone app ordering a few years ago. The food is still very good, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The app makes it possible to customize your order a bit like you would with a server. There aren't a lot of breakfast places with a good selection on weekdays like Blue Jam. The Benedict has bacon and ham, with crunchy diced potatoes. The chicken tinga chilaquiles had great flavor, good spice, but the chips got very soggy from the chicken juice, so get it on the side. The crunchy French toast had lots of fresh fruit. All the portions were good. The single origin French press is very good, too.

Food: - Morning hash had good quantity, was overall decent Ambiance: - there is street parking - seating inside and outside - Order at the counter or at the table through QR code

We had a fantastic Mother's Day brunch here this morning. I suppose the gods were with us, because we not only found parking easily, but the restaurant wasn't even that crowded on this most popular of holidays. We opted to sit outdoors on their patio, which was lovely, breezy and shaded by pretty green umbrellas. The service was friendly and prompt, the food and French-press coffee were delicious, and it was overall just a really lovely morning and afternoon. Highly recommend the chicken quesadillas, the migas, the eggs Benedict, and any of their delicious scrambles!!

I got the blu jam breakfast. It was excellent!! There was blue forest ham, English muffin, poached eggs, hollandaise and side of diced potatoes which were my favorite!! My bf and I loved the potatoes here. 5/5 The strawberry mint lemonade was so good too! Wish they added more mint leaves but it was so refreshing! 5/5 The churro toast was pretty good but I wish they had more sauce on the side. 3/5 Only thing is they should provide bigger tables. Although it was two of us, the table was so small.

Delightful brunch cafe! I come here if I ever need to accommodate a big party. Spacious and clean! Plenty savory and sweet of options for everyone-- I always try to come back and try something new on their menu. Validated indoor parking lot. Aside: My friend and I noticed a sign that their house rules is they do not serve syrup. We thought it would be humorous to ask for it anyway, but they so kindly brought us their blu jam instead which was the yummiest surprise. Thank you Blu Jam!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and I LOVED it!! They have $5 sangrias (red or white) on Saturday and Sundays. Their portions are also veryyy generous!! You get a lot of food for a good price. They also have parking available behind them in a parking structure and they do validate! Service was very quick! Stop by here if you're looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot!

Crunchy French Toast with French Press Guatemalan coffee

We came to Blu Jam Café for my mom's birthday brunch, and it was the perfect place to celebrate! The special French press Guatemalan coffee was AMAZING! It was so rich and aromatic and honestly one of the best coffees I've had!! Their famous Crunchy French Toast totally lived up to the hype with the perfect crispy texture on the outside and a soft center. We also ordered the steak hash, and the beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful. Such a cozy atmosphere with delicious food and great service! Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to! Thanks guys!!!

I loved it! The service was great (although you do order with a QR code or at the register). They were quick to bring out more water when we were closer to running out, they brought our food out quickly and remembered all the little details we had requested. We tried three different dishes and we devoured all of them! The serving sizes were quite generous and we felt they were good for their prices (considering La prices). It was a cute cafe, our table was clean- we did choose to sit outside and there were a lot of flies but that is not the restaurants fault. Personally, I ordered the steak hash and I felt they were very generous with the steak! I would 100% go back!

Yuuuuuummmmy .I am so fortunate to live a block away. Consistently high quality and a lot of healthy options. The staff are amazing and attentive. The icing on the cake is getting to see staff that I have grown quite fond of .....Rikki, you are at the top of my list!

It's not bad! Food tastes good and it's beautifully presented. I don't know why Google rating is low. I like the chai latte I got and the salmon hatch.

This was a place i chose for a short stop while waiting for some business matters to go through. Ambience is very nice, the shop is super clean and the service was stellar. I chose the grilled cheese which, surprisingly, had a mix of yellow cheeses and feta! What an awesome Combination! It was crunchy, grilled to perfection and the home fries were cut up in small, tiny cubes which made them very tasty and crunchy as well! Good price as well. Highly recommend for a quick bite whether it's breakfast or lunch.

Came here based on the Yelp reviews. Restaurant was lightly occupied on a Wednesday morning around 9:30 am. We were greeted and seated quickly, and the server accommodated my request for a table that didn't have adjacent occupied tables (I have trouble hearing) by expanding the open seating area. We received menus, but ordering and payment was completed via a QR code. Using this method, photos were included of every menu item. For people without a phone, there was a kiosk for ordering. I don't love that tipping was done up front with payment, but fortunately the service did not disappoint. Portions were generous, and a station is available to get containers to pack up leftovers. Ambience was relaxed with jazz in the background. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend. Thanks!

Let me begin by saying I would live here in college a few years back. I came today to find everything changed. There is no customer service. You have to order by a QR code but you have 0 interaction with the staff. The food also has gone down in quality and up in price. I got the famous French toast and it lacked flavor. For a side of eggs it was about $6 but when we asked for sauce it took about 10 minutes for them to bring any and by that time my eggs were getting cold so I had already ate them. I was really disappointed with their new business moto. Never have been to a restaurant where you don't even speak to the server apart from him instructing you to order from QR code or order from the front. I will not be coming back. The whole point of going to a restaurant is to have good customer service and have good food. Disappointed is an understatement. I wish they had the service they used to have, because this new one sucks. Honestly wouldn't recommend. Unless you like flying solo, and not interacting with people. Which isn't my case.

Hard to say this routinely about salmon and chicken - Pizza/flatbread: nothing super standout but crust was not dry, tasted mostly of cheese - Oven baked sweet potato: garnished with strawberries and cheese, blistered for a nice caramely flavor on top of the already nice sweetness - Pasta salad: nothing special but also nothing alarmingly bad - Sadly didn't get to try to tuna crispy rice - Desserts: an assortment of small eclairs, profiteroles, and brownies -- feel like this is where the food fell flat. The eclair and profiterole pastry was kind of flat/dry (didn't taste fresh really). Brownie was probably the best - moist but also nothing super amazing Interested to come back in the future to see how The food (especially the dessert) fairs outside of large events.

Unfortunately, the food and service fell short of my expectations. The restaurant is on the pricier side, but given its desirable location and atmosphere, the pricing feels somewhat justified. Also, the restaurant business is tough to manage, especially with recent increases in rent, insurance, and supply costs. That said, based on my experience, the food is overrated compared with the praise it receives in many reviews. The Cloverfield Cheeseburger - 2/5. The menu suggests the burger is made with high-quality beef, and that may well be true. However, the patty itself tasted bland and lacked the richness and fat content needed to make it memorable. It also lacked a well-developed crust, which left the overall flavor underwhelming. The bun deteriorated after only a few bites and lacked the chewiness and structure of a good burger bun. The produce was equally disappointing. The tomatoes were pale pink, seemingly underripe, and lacked the deep, juicy sweetness that can elevate a burger. The lettuce was pale and lacked both the crisp texture and fresh flavor needed to complement the other ingredients. Overall, this burger was a letdown. The Scramble - 2/5. This breakfast plate comes with scrambled eggs, pan-fried potatoes, and toast. The potatoes tasted as though they had been sitting on the side of the griddle for some time - dry, overcooked, and lacking freshness. The scrambled eggs were similarly disappointing. They lacked the velvety texture and rich flavor that distinguish well-executed scrambled eggs from average ones. The dish was serviceable but far from memorable. Cloverfield Chili - 2.5/5. The description is promising, highlighting ingredients such as grass-fed beef and lime crema. In practice, however, the chili was merely okay. The flavor profile felt somewhat bland and one-dimensional, while the ground beef lacked the moisture and richness that make a hearty chili satisfying. More disappointing was the serving temperature - the chili arrived only slightly warm. A dish like this should be served piping hot to deliver the comforting, hearty experience diners expect. The Cloverfield excels in location and atmosphere, and I would happily return for drinks or to catch up with friends. However, the food did not live up to the expectations set by its reputation or pricing. While the setting is enjoyable, the overall dining experience left me underwhelmed.

Whether it's a sun-drenched breakfast, a power lunch, or a cozy neighborhood dinner, this place nails the vibe every single time. It manages to be sophisticated and "LA-cool" while still feeling like a warm, welcoming local haunt. Here is why Lunetta All Day is a consistent 5-star experience: The Best Breakfast in Town: The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are legendary for a reason--fluffy, tangy, and not overly sweet. If you're a savory fan, the Short Rib Hash is rich, tender, and the ultimate comfort food to start your day. The "All Day" Versatility: I love that I can come here for a world-class latte and a pastry in the morning, or a glass of crisp rosé and a Chisaya Burger in the afternoon. The transition between a casual cafe and a refined bistro is seamless. Thoughtful Ingredients: Chef Raphael Lunetta clearly prioritizes seasonal, local ingredients. You can taste the freshness in the salads and the quality in the proteins. Even a simple side of crispy fingerling potatoes feels elevated here. Chic & Airy Atmosphere: The interior design is stunning--think mid-century modern meets coastal California. With the large windows and open feel, it's one of the best spots on Pico Blvd to soak in that Santa Monica light. Polished Service: The staff is incredibly professional. They are attentive without being intrusive, and they move with a pace that shows they respect your time, whether you're on a quick lunch break or a leisurely weekend brunch. Pro Tip: Their outdoor patio is dog-friendly! It's the perfect place to sit with your pup and people-watch while enjoying a Wood-Fired Pizza. Also, don't sleep on their bakery counter--the cookies are some of the best in the city. Lunetta All Day is the kind of place that makes you want to move into the neighborhood just so you can eat here every morning. A true Santa Monica staple!

The koji seasoning gave the steak overwhelming flavor and the aioli was delicious with the fries Pickle Chick 4/10- My sister loves pickles and found it overwhelming Dessert: Rose Petal Pie 3/10- I knew I wouldn't like it, but had to try it. The textures were weird and honestly don't get why people love this. | O V E R A L L | I want to go back before they close to get the steak again. I don't know if I just missed the best items, but all the starters we got were just underwhelming. Let me know what to get next time as I loved the atmosphere and service was great!

It comes in the shape of corn and the butter is even molded in a corn shape too. The rice flour-battered mushrooms are a great shareable dish- it's fried extra crispy which I loved. The prime skirt steak frites was juicy and came with lots of fries on the side. The smoked kielbasa is a sausage with smokey flavor. For dessert we ordered the chocolate layer cake & mango rice pudding. The chocolate layer cake is a large, decadent, super moist slice and perfect for any chocolate lover! The mango rice pudding gives mango sticky rice vibes - fruity and light. Both dessert options were definitely the way to end the meal. Parking- valet $17

Parking: They have an adjacent paid parking lot though metered street parking is cheaper since they unfortunately don't validate. Ambiance: Really gorgeous inside, with high arced wooden beam ceilings, natural light through skylights, romantic dim lighting, candles, lots of potted trees for greenery, and velvet seating to add elegance. Even the plates are worth admiring. They have a nice patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings as well. I absolutely love the vibes for date night. I have eaten here four times now and have a reservation ready for my fifth. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!
