I have so much to say I don't even know where to begin. I have a friend visiting me from the UK, and the Euro2024 was on today. I thought what a fun event to go to an English pub and watch her football. I had called and asked if they were showing the game, and they told us it was first come first serve and was promptly hung up on. I didn't take that to heart but I thought it was odd. We got here about 2:00 and the place was already packed. Thankfully we got chairs. My friend and I don't drink alcohol, but we were planning on ordering lots of food. Immediately we were singled out by the owners Mark and Peggy. Never have I met more nasty, miserable people than I have at this pub. Before we even sat down they were threatening to throw us out. However, we weren't special they literally were attacking every single guest in here! Like why own a pub if you don't want people to come? Apparently Peggy, was annoyed that we weren't drinking alcohol. I said we're going to order food and we're going to take care of the server. She said there's no soliciting. I'm pretty sure she meant loitering, but we weren't doing that either as we were purchasing food and beverages. The day was saved by a few really sweet servers (especially Meghan! ) that really tried to bend over backwards to help people. But honest to God I lost count on how many times people were being threatened to be thrown out. Mark was calling people names, sexual slurs, and saying other derogatory remarks. He even squared off to a few people! I'm 100% sure this bar is well over capacity and is in a fire code at the moment but he's so greedy he's letting more and more people in the door. I honestly have never seen anything like this, I will NEVER come back to this place. And it's not a good to look for my UK friend to see.

place is a total dive, in a good way! doesn't look like anything has been updated or changed probably since they opened. place wasn't very busy, it should be. ordered a couple of pints, love that they have to "pump" the draft handles to dispense the beer, like the do in most pubs in the UK. ordered the king's portion "breakkie", a breakfast plate for dinner that included blood sausage, bangers, mushrooms, Heinze baked beans, the ones in the teal can that come from UK, rye toast & 2 eggs over easy, grilled tomato & the UK version of A1 sauce. everything was delicious, my only complaint was that the eggs were definitely overcook, so no runny yolks. my husband ordered the bangers & mash with the same Heinze beans that i had, garlic mash with guiness gravy, he loved it. service was friendly and unpolished, but that's what i'd expect in a place like this, adds to the quaintness of the place. ***BATHROOMS ARE REALLY GROSS, no handle on men's room door, ceiling was leaking like crazy because of the rain, so buckets were there collecting the water. other than that, we'd go back again!

I should give it 4 stars for the service because everyone at the bar was great. The onion soup was very rich and tasty. I would come back for that alone. The beers on tap are warm and I'm just a spoiled American who likes an ice cold beer. We will be back to try other menu items and I'll do a proper review then.

Walking by from the outside, this pub looks like it could be situated on any street in England. Inside it carries on that same feel. Dark wooden benches and bar stools. Men sitting by the bar talking about sports. Amazingly nice, Peggy is behind the bar, and the feel of this place makes me remember a visit to London. We sat at the bar so we could see the vast selection of both British and American beer on tap. Of course, I ordered a pint of Guinness, and my husband ordered a Woodford Reserve Bourbon. We both had never eaten her before, but from the menu posted by the door outside, we had to give it a try for our lunch. Peggy was great at telling us about her favorite menu items, and she even showed us a plate or two as she was delivering food to another table. It all looked great. The special for Friday is the large portion of fish and chips for the small portion price as long as it is not a shared plate. The bangers and mashed looked like a huge portion, too. After the hand pressed 1/2 pound burger was described, my husband had to order it. I went with Peggy's favorite, Paddy O'Dip- Roast beef on a fresh baguette with guinness-laced au jus and pub made horseradish sauce with fries. It was so good. The flavors of the sandwich dipped in the au jus, followed by dipping my fresh cut fries. I was totally satisfied. The ambiance with the food and drink was a definite winner, and we will be back for sure to try the Shepard pie and something they call Irish Boxtys.

When we first pulled up, the parking lot was nearly empty, and inside there were only a few people scattered around. My companion went straight to the restroom, so I found a seat at the bar. The first thing we were told was that the kitchen was already closed even though it was only 9 PM which was a bit disappointing since I was hungry. Since it's an Irish pub, they mainly serve beer and wine, so I ordered a Guinness followed by a light beer. Despite the slow start, the night turned out to be unexpectedly enjoyable. We ended up meeting some wonderful people from Italy, Poland, and Turkey. It was especially nice connecting with the gentleman from Turkey, as I had traveled there last year, and we had a great conversation about that experience. The same went for the gentleman from Italy. It was refreshing and easy to talk to everyone. Even after closing, we stayed outside for a while continuing our conversations. The atmosphere inside the pub had a classic Irish feel, very reminiscent of my time in Ireland years ago, with signed celebrity photos decorating the walls adding to its charm. Also money from various countries. The lady behind the bar was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the night, constantly checking in and making sure we were taken care of. It's been years since I last visited, but after this experience, I'll definitely be going back soon.

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.
