We ordered from here for pickup the other night and arrived at the restaurant about five minutes before they said our pizza would be ready. We waited five minutes... no pizza. Ten minutes, no pizza. Fifteen minutes. No. Pizza. After 20 minutes, someone came out and said they burnt our pizza, so they were making us another. Fine - at least they didn't give us a burnt pizza. But we sat around the restaurant for forty minutes before finally getting a pizza - AND IT SUCKED. We got peppers and onions, and they were completely raw on top of the pizza. It was gross. They did give us a free 2-liter soda to apologize for the wait, which was nice but did not change the fact that their pizza is not good. read more

I ordered two pizzas tonight and I was told it would be 35 minutes until it's ready for pickup. I arrived 5 minutes early and paid for my pizzas. I was told that it would be another 5 minutes, which made sense and was when my ordered was expected to be ready. After waiting for an additional 25 minutes past the expected order time I finally spoke up and asked if my order was ready. I was told that they are running behind because of a local school ordered 150 pizzas. I told the woman behind the counter that they should told me that information when I placed the order instead telling 35 minutes when they never had the intention of keeping that time frame. She then reassured me that it wouldn't be much longer. I must pissed off the owner because the waitress tried to hand me both of my pizzas and the owner looked me in the eye while taking the pizza away from his employee and he gave my pizza to another customer who came in 20 minutes after me. After waiting for another 10 minutes for a total wait time of 35 minutes in the store with another 35 minutes after calling (1 hour 10 minutes ) I took the pizzas home. The Sicilian pizza was so small it rattled around in the box. It was missing most of the cheese and tasted like soggy bread. The regular plain pizza was so oversized it wasn't able to fit in the box. When the waitress put in the box it ended up folding the pie almost in half. The pizza tasted like mushy bread and you could clearly taste that it was under cooked. I guess the owner was tired of me starring at him through my mask. The food was absolutely disgusting but the attitude of the owner was more disgusting and disrespectful. I've been a loyal customer of Blue Pizza for the last 3 years. From now on Blue Bell Pizza will be a Hard Pass!!!! Best of Luck. read more

As a company, we ordered from here 1-2 times weekly. Out of the blue, they raised their prices. Almost across the board, all items went up $1.00 each. Their prices were already on the high side. No one told us when we ordered last time, no new menu was sent, nor were we told when we placed our order today. We have had issues (items incorrect, long delivery time, missing sides) over the past few months, but we dealt with them. Today's order is our last time. Between the issues & now the higher prices, we're done. It's a shame as we used to enjoy ordering from here. The order we placed today at 11am - we were told it would be here in 45-50 minutes. I stopped in Blue Bell Pizza today in between work meetings for lunch. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken. The salad was huge. See the pic. I took half home and ate it for dinner. Lots of lettuce, olives, feta cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers topped with a nice pile of pieces of chicken. I never had chicken like this in a Greek salad- it was seasoned and seemed like something you would more so find in an Asian dish or wrap but it was good. Food came out quick. read more

I was so happy to see that they added a vegan menu... Tried a vegan pizza this week and it was soooo delicious.. Incredible actually so much so that only two days later I had to have it again... (it could be because I am pregnant lol) so I ordered using the online option and saw that they had an even bigger vegan selection than I realized... So in addition to a pizza I also ordered some vegan twists and some vegan raspberry filled fritters..... I was given a 70 min eta which seemed appropriate given its Friday.... 2 hours elapsed.. I checked my bank account and there was a charge so I am thinking all is good maybe just a little delay.. No big deal.... So I decide to call and ask about my order and this was the response......which I am still having a hard time comprehending that this is their mode of operation.... So remember those raspberry filled fritters well it turns out they ran out of raspberries so they called once and I happened to miss that call (my fault) and because I didn't respond they decided to just do nothing... Yup nothing... So here I am waiting for an order that was never going to arrive yet my credit card was promptly charge... I guess what I am trying to say in a really long winded explanation is how about if you don't hear from customer in a reasonable time you maybe attempt an additional call, a text, an email... And if there's still no answer how about you just make an executive decision to omit what you ran out of or heaven forbid make a substitution (as long as it's still vegan of course) I know we live in this era of over caution but in this case this was not in the benefit of the customer.... So after ordering from blue bell for a year. I've finally decided to write a review. The pizza is never consistent. The first time I had it I was hooked. The pizza was good and fresh. Since then I've been chasing a ghost. The pizza hasn't been fresh since. The pizza from yesterday I think it was made with expired cheese I couldn't finish a slice. The pizza crust is always soggy. Decent food, but don't ask for any variation on anything because they will completely disregard. Today we ordered a ham sandwich on wheat with mayo with NOTHING else on it (we specified this multiple times) and it arrived with cheese and lettuce and tomato anyway. We also ordered another sandwich with NO tomato, the woman ordering even confirmed no tomato and it came on it anyway. The food is ok, but if you vary from what is specifically on the menu - it won't happen. I love Blue Bell Pizza. They have tremendous cheese steaks...better than all the Philly places people always gush about. And they chop up their steak, which is key. There's nothing worse than taking a bite of a cheese steak and pulling out a huge slab of meat because it's not chopped up. And Blue Bell Pizza has the best pizza in the Ambler/Blue Bell area, hands down. I'm not a big pizza lover in general, I could take it or leave it, but I tried a slice of my husband's Grandma's pie a year or so ago, and it was AMAZING. I do like blue bell pizza but many times I've been disappointed!! Tonight for one example the pizza for my son was burnt, the chicken parmigiana didn't come with the garlic knots, my daughters salad...I had to ask her for the dressing cause they didn't and my chicken cheesesteak was way over cooked! I asked for extra cheese and meat and all I got was extra dry meat! The cheese was only in the middle of the sandwich! It was the driest sandwich ever! read more

I was really hoping to like this place after reading all the great reviews , however I had a really bad experience with them tonight. Called in for delivery and was told 30 to 40 minutes. No problem. An hour and 10 minutes later I called to ask when we could expect the pizza. After a five minute delay I was told the delivery guy would be here in one minute. Ten minutes later he finally showed up. Liked Blue Bell Pizza the first time. Went there tonight because I read the wings were good and that's what we wanted. My husband had to wait 30 minutes longer than quoted. He got home and they forgot part of our order. I called and the girl was helpful and nice and said they would deliver it right away. 45 minutes-nothing. I called back and there was confusion but they tried to deliver to another house. No call. Nothing. The girl offered a credit. We aren't going back so it doesn't matter. Stop in for a slice - you will not be disappointed. I live in Ambler borough and there are at least 4 pizza shops within walking distance of my house and they all stink. I will GLADLY get in my car and drive to Blue Bell Pizza. My boyfriend is from New York and even he loves it. We stop by once a week and the owners are always on the premises and they greet us by name. They are a great group of hard working guys. On occasion I've tried other menu items and was very pleased. Wings are AWESOME. Salads and sandwiches good too. The best part is that they have plenty of selection in slices - I always end up going back for the Grandmas though. read more

I still order from here frequently because it is my go-to pizza place around the corner. The food is great (when it is correct!). My issue is with customer service and decor. The wait time is always longer than expected, sides or specific requests are usually missing or not accurate, and sometimes the staff is so busy and just don't seem to care. I will continue to order from here but little issues like this should have been worked out long ago. The owners recently opened a new restaurant next door. I love this place! Today was actually the first time I ever tried their pizza(got a free slice for their "pizza appreciation day"). Pretty good for a local pizza place! I typically get their sandwiches and hoagies. My boyfriend loves their cheesesteaks. All have been so good and fresh. They get them ready quickly and the staff are always so friendly. Ordered a pizza with pep and sausage, nothing to crazy. Pizza itself was very good. Service well I just wish I could go lower then 1 star. Order was placed for delivery to a business less than 10 minutes away. When ordered, was given a time of 45 minutes, pretty standard for a Friday. After an hour and 15 minutes went by I called to see where the pizza was. I was placed on hold (again, not uncommon) then a guy who I could hardly hear answered and I told him I was checking an order status. I was placed on hold again. When he returned, I told him the order and he simply said, "they left." That was it. No timeframe of when they left, what the issue was, no apology, nothing. I said ok and before finishing my thought, he said bye and hung up. 15 minutes later the order arrived putting us at 1 hour and 30 minutes, double the original timeframe. The pizza was tasty but cold. The driver was friendly but offered no apologies and went on her way. Pretty safe to say that it is easier for me to order from Palermos (pick-up only) then wait for these guys. read more

TL:DR- don't order from Blue Bell Pizza, they have horrible customer service and clearly don't care about taking care of customers. Blue Bell pizza has lost my business forever after my experience today. I received my order after an hour of waiting, which was longer than what I was quoted, and it was cold. I called immediately to let them know. The woman who answered the phone asked who the driver was and then immediately put me on hold to speak with someone named Hugo who informed me I must be wrong. I restated that my order was cold, he again insisted I was wrong, he put the order himself into a hot bag. I don't know what the driver did between the pizza place and my house, but my food was cold and now someone who says he's the manager is arguing with me about it. I asked his name and who the manager or owner was, he stated it was him. I do not appreciate being told I am holding a hot pizza, when I am in fact holding a cold pizza. I was offered a $10 credit, which is ridiculous, or a reorder of my food which would probably take another hour. What in the world!?! read more

It was good enough to make me cry.....my husband is a classic plain pizza guy. Really quite good - by FAR his favorite in the area. We aren't talking fancy-shmantzy gourmet here, but a very nice selection of good stuff, red, white, Brooklyn style,buffalo chicken, whatever. I think all their ingredients are a step up in quality from your typical joint. Yum, I want a slice RIGHT NOW. Big surprise! Their chicken wings are delicious. We even like the salads. We usually get delivery, and this has been the only thing from getting a higher review. The delivery is slow...sometimes an hour or more.
