Iced charcoal latte. Four stars. Tuesday afternoon 2025-07- 08

Short wait on a Tuesday afternoon, though their tables were fairly full. $15.52 total for 2 coffee drinks. Charcoal Latte (iced) - 4 stars Very tasty and unique!

Tried their candied yam latte (seasonal) -- it's sweet & spiced and reminds me a bit of jaggery. It's not my favorite drink, but it's not bad! Don't see myself repeating this order. The space, however, is fantastic! Perfect for my WFH folks with outlets, wifi & plenty of seating. I will say it fills up pretty early, but worth checking out for open seats. Tues morning line wasn't long & drinks came out quick. Good for a quick fix! Will come back for their vietnamese cold brew since I have enjoyed that at other locations.

First time visiting red bay coffee. I went on a Thursday afternoon. There was no wait. The inside has plenty of seating and they offer both a menu and selection of beans/equipment. Pricing is acceptable for the area. The inside is beautiful and has plenty of sunlight. I got an iced mocha. They offer two sizes 12oz and 16oz. I got my drink fairly quickly and it wasn't sweet, just how I like it. Will be back!

    Vietnamese cold brew tasted off

I love the ambiance and service at this location. I've been a Red Bay Coffee customer for years and have been here several times. But in the past year since the company filed for bankruptcy, the drink quality at all of their cafés has steadily declined. The Candied Yam Latte used to taste more like yams and actually had yam bits inside. But the last three times I ordered it, it was totally different and didn't taste much different from a plain latte. Most recently today, I ordered a Vietnamese cold brew -- a drink I've ordered from Red Bay before -- and it tasted pretty off. Either the dairy mix had gone bad, or it was just poor to begin with. It tasted like artificial CoffeeMate creamer instead of real sweetened condensed milk, so I ended up throwing away the whole drink a few blocks later. Of the last 5 or so drinks I've ordered from various Red Bay Coffee locations, all 5 have been misses. They used to be one of my go to cafés in the city, but no longer.

Red Bay coffee sells high quality coffee with a smile. The baristas greeted me as I walked in, and then again when I left. They sell patries and they look good. There are plenty of seats, and they don't have a time limit for customers to hangout here. The only drawback is that they close at 4pm. There is a meeting room in the back for events.

The nicest café in the area! Spacious with seating! Excellent beverage selection and food items you'd want to eat too! Red Bay Coffee took over the space vacated by another coffee purveyor. Service was quick. They even have a self-serve IPad station by the counter to type in your order! Great location being on the outside of the Mills Building on Montgomery & Bush Streets! Stop in to sip a beverage, have a snack, catch up with a friend and share some quality time with colleagues in the neighborhood!

This new location on the corner of Montgomery and Bush is the only SF café open now that the cafes at the Ferry Building and Fillmore St have closed. This location is open and modern. You order in front and there are window counter seats and tables in back. I signed up for a Tasting Thursday event at the café and it was held in the back of the café. Two of their coffee experts showed the importance of water temperature when brewing coffee. They were brewing the Motherland roast using the pour-over method. We sampled the brewed coffee with three different water temperatures and you could tell the different tasting nuances of the coffee under the each temperature and how the small variations can unlock new flavors in your cup. It was a nice education tasting event and the experts said they would be putting more of these events on in the future. They had an event today, which celebrated Women's History Month featuring Brazilian Cake Lady, which I was disappointed I couldn't attend. Looking forward to coming to this café for coffee and other Tasting Events.

Bright and clean place to get some work done, and they have a nice selection of coffee and non coffee beverages like match lattes and tumeric lattes.

Super cute coffee shop! The staff is so patient and gentle. The space is sleek and modern. I ordered a cappuccino and it was beautifully made. Such a great experience :)

I've been here a couple of times and the drinks are so yummy. I got the candied yam one (holiday drink) and it was delicious. There was a subtle spice flavor and it was perfectly sweetened for me (I like my drinks sweet). The vanilla latte was also really good. I would definitely come back.

So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

We chose this large city location thanks to easy parking and a convenient stop on our drive. It was a beautiful morning, which was easy to enjoy thanks to the high ceilings, big glass windows, and open main door. The first floor has a central counter to order food and drinks; the glass cabinet has a bunch of rotating pastries from a local bakery. They have restrooms and a merchandise area here too. At the front are counter seats along the front window, and also a horseshoe that looks into the roasting area, which is a great place to smell the beans. There's an upstairs loft that overlooks the cafe below, also with a test kitchen area and offices across to the front. They definitely have a larger business going on, and I can see why it's so popular. We ordered a latte, iced coffee, and various pastries to start our day. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Where Sightglass lost points for me: -Fire up that hot spot, because there's no wifi. -My husband's breakfast sandwich was cold in the middle. -Worst of all... paper straws. I know, dramatic, but I want to enjoy my coffee without the inevitable ticking time bomb of a straw progressively getting more and more soggy with every sip.

Whether you are in the mood for a katsu sando, curry over rice, ochazuke with their matcha twist, or something sweet like the matcha cream pie, it is hard to go wrong here. All of the savory dishes I have tried have been great, but the fish katsu sando is one of my absolute favorites. The huge fish fillets are perfectly fried and flaky, tucked inside pillowy shokupan and topped with tangy yuzu shio koji sauce, tomato spread, and fresh crunchy cabbage. Every component works together beautifully, with richness, brightness, and texture all in balance. The pork katsu curry over rice is another standout. The katsu comes sliced into thick pieces that are still juicy inside, and it is fried expertly so the breading stays attached as you eat it. The curry has a really balanced flavor, even if I would not mind a little more spice, while the pickled radishes provide a nice contrast. I always add an onsen egg (for an additional $2) because breaking the runny yolk and mixing it into the curry adds another layer of velvety richness and creaminess. You can also tell they use high-quality matcha in their drinks, so the beverage menu is really more about choosing what fits your mood that day vs avoiding any bad options. Stonemill Matcha is a great option for a grabbing a drink on the go, a full blown sit down meal, a quick dessert stop or all of the above!
