The entire team was great to work with. Angela found the right used trailer for me and made the entire process very easy.

    It's on the showroom floor!

After reading several recent reviews on this place, I know I made the right decision on not purchasing an RV from there. I walked in with a 102k cashiers check made out to them and walked out due to a high level of unprofessionalism and incompetence. Prior to signing the contract, I noticed some cracking in the paint on the exterior door of a 2027 Grand Design 31ZW. We had already agreed on a sales price of 281k with the upgraded 35 package. Good deal and nice rig, IMO! Upon further investigation, the inside door had severe paint overspray on all of the door hinges and tape line issues throughout the rig. The sales Manager/acting GM (Jeremy) advised me that these rigs are all painted by hand and bound to have some imperfections. I thought he was joking, but he was not. I asked Jeremy if this rig came direct from the factory, and he said it did. He also advised me that they do not complete a "PDI" (Pre delivery inspection) on any unit until it is purchased. This unit was on the showroom floor looking like this. I thought that was odd, and later found out through Grand Design untruthful as well. I told Jeremy that the door needed to be repaired prior to me signing any contract, and he told me in order for the door to be repaired, the contract needed to be signed for any warranty work to start. Again, odd and not true. I contacted Grand Design, and they explained to me how the "PDI's" at the factory work and upon delivery to the dealership, and yes, they are done on both ends. I spoke with Blue Compass RV management (Scott Bier), and he told me that there was some type of miscommunication between Jeremy, the finance guy (James) and myself due to Scott speaking to Jeremy about this matter. I told Scott that there was not an issue with communication between the two of them and myself. In several of these reviews on Blue Compass, consumer's have indicated that there were communication issues. Coincidence, I don't think so! They wanted me to be locked in to this contract prior to anything being done. Very unprofessional and unethical. Grand Design was going to kick in 5k to the deal as a courtesy which was generous, but I declined the offer due to this experience. I would not recommend this place AT ALL for an RV purchase. I hope the higher up's read these reviews and realize that Scott, Jeremy, and James should not hold these important positions in this company. They ALL failed the company greatly and lost a more than willing consumer in the process.

Our brand new RV after 2 months

1 Star - Absolutely the Worst RV Buying Experience Blue Compass RV has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We purchased a brand-new Grand Design RV in September 2024, and from the very first trip, we began experiencing serious issues. Within one week, the entire battery died, leaving the RV unusible. When we brought it in for service, we discovered multiple additional problems: trim pieces falling off, cabinets peeling, handles breaking (including the sewage door), and the interior panels buckling. We are now approaching March 2026, and these warranty issues are still not fully resolved. Our RV -- which was only six months old -- has spent approximately 4 1/2 of those months either in the shop or sitting unrepaired while we've waited for action. We have only been able to use it twice, and even then, the interior was literally coming apart. I have personally spent over 100 hours contacting Blue Compass and Grand Design trying to get this resolved. To Grand Design's credit, they have been attempting to push Blue Compass to communicate and order the necessary parts. Unfortunately, the service department at Blue Compass has been unresponsive, disorganized, and incredibly frustrating to work with. This has been a stressful, exhausting, and disappointing experience from start to finish. Buying a brand-new RV should be exciting -- not a full-time battle to get basic warranty repairs handled. If this review helps even one person avoid what we've gone through, it's worth writing. I would not wish this experience -- or the level of incompetence we've encountered -- on anyone.

I wanted to give a big thank you to Lily, Seth, and Charles for their incredible help with our first RV/travel trailer purchase! Seth was so easy to talk to and really worked hard to get us the best monthly payment. Lily was incredibly kind and gave us so much information she is a true asset to the company. Charles is so experienced. I really appreciated the time he spent showing me the RV during the demo. They're top-notch customer service! I'll definitely recommend them!

Ask the Community - Blue Compass RV

I would like to know if Blue Dog RV is anywhere as dependable and honest a Johnny Walker RV?

No absolutely not reliable or dependable. Their "Coast to Coast Warranty" is a scam. They are only on the West Coast and it doesn't cover anything and you have to buy an extended warranty to actually have coverage. Also, service is inept, can't…

He also advised my husband that he is closed on weekends even though his hours states open on Saturday and closed Sunday. Again, I don't mind waiting but just a simple communication would have been helpful is all. If the business doesn't operate on weekends then the hours on Yelp should be adjusted accordingly. ******************************************* I truly wished to have the same positive experience as the five-star ratings, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. On Friday, June 13th, I reached out to Fixin Dixon Mobile RV through a message on YELP regarding an issue with my shower, which was spurting water due to a cracked plastic piece. Bill responded quickly, provided his cell number, and suggested I contact him on Saturday morning. Sounds great, right? That's what I thought! Since we were out of town and I was attending an all-day conference, my husband stepped in to reach out. He left a voicemail, and Bill eventually returned the call to schedule a time to inspect our shower. We arranged for him to come on Thursday, June 19th. During the visit, Bill informed my husband that he would check a few places for a replacement part. My husband followed up on Friday, June 20th, only to hear that Bill had been unable to find the part and would look at Home Depot. He mentioned that we might need to replace the entire shower faucet, but we haven't heard from him since, and now it's Monday, June 23rd. I don't mind waiting, but a lack of communication from a business is frustrating. In short, my husband managed to find a temporary part while we look for a more reliable service. I advise proceeding with caution! You might have a great experience, or you could end up disappointed like I did.

I contracted HH because I have seen them throughout the resort doing work on other rigs. I should have spoken to my neighbors and/or read their Yelp reviews before calling, but I scheduled an estimate to replace a worn awning on my 28ft travel trailer. After the estimator arrived, I was quoted a price just under $800 for parts and labor, but i failed to get it in writing. They came out the following week with the new awning and proceeded to remove the old one. Somehow, the torsion spring assembly broke. This was strange to us because we tested the awning motor and the spring and the old one opened and retracted without problems. They also discovered that the LED light strip was loose and they recommended replacement, so I approved that as well. Another week went by and somehow, my estimate went from $800 to $1380! I didn't understand how additional parts totaling less than $325 equated to a $600 increase! I was frustrated but I agreed to the updated price and once again, I failed to get it in writing. Though I was frustrated with HH, I was still trying to trust that they would do right by us. Boy was I wrong! The work was finally completed the following week, and I received an invoice for nearly $2200! This was supposed to be an $800 job taking two hours, but the invoice showed .5 hours for the estimate, which was fine. They then charged 3 hours (two workers) to remove the old awning, but stopped work when the torsion arm broke and the damaged LED strip. This was fine. But when they returned with the proper parts, they charged an additional 3 hours even though most of the work was already done! They were trying to charge me 5.5 hours of labor for a two hour job! They were resetting their work time with every trip to our site. I spoke to the rep on the phone and complained about the amount. He first asked if i was a vet, and that I could get a military discount. He then magnanimously offered a $600 discount, which I rejected. I demanded a return to the originally agreed upon estimate of $1380 and not a penny more. It took a couple of days, but the rep finally met my demand, and when I then asked for my military discount, he declined to award it as I already "saved" $900 on the "labor" they took off the invoice! To make matters worse, the persons who did the work left a mess on the site after they finished! We found nails, ripped pieces of the old fabric and some rubber material littered throughout the site! These guys are crooks. and they screwed with the wrong veteran. Moral: talk to your neighbors before calling an rv repair person, and if nothing else, consult Yelp! 1/3 of HH's reviews on Yelp are 2 or less. That's not coincidence.

First off, they're not 24 hours. We had to wait overnight at their shop to be seen. They performed a diagnostic, which took several hours, as the tech had to keep asking "Siri" about the engine, and how to perform certain tests. HUH?! They finally determined that our fuel injectors were toast, and as they couldn't just get parts for it, they would all need to be rebuilt. A couple of weeks and about $10,000 they said! They suggested we stay at an RV Park and they would come out the next day to start the process of removing the fuel injectors. Well, they didn't call, didn't show. But it was a damn good thing. We got the name of a recommended RV Service Centre in Vegas and took it there for their diagnostic. Nothing wrong with our engine or the fuel injectors. Just a sensor miscommunication. An absolute nightmare was averted because they didn't bother to show up. Thank God. They were ready to outright scam us on this "problem". If they took those injectors out, we'd still be there. After getting the all-clear from a reputable company, we continued on.. eventually driving over 6,000 miles without a fuel injector problem. They do not know what they are doing .. stay away!!! Found them on Groupon - there were others to choose from, this place had good reviews and was nearby. A few things to know: Make an appointment and give them about an hour to change your oil and inspect your car. This could be your excuse to head next door to Abuela's Tacos. Waiting room is small-ish with cold water available and a television. If you have major repairs that will take a while, it's probably best to leave your car and return. The owner struck me as kind, honest, and a small business owner looking to impress new customers and build his business. The inspection with the oil change had tons of detail and seemed thorough. He gave me a quote for rear brakes which my car needs and while it isn't the lowest price in town, it's incredibly competitive. One thing I felt good about was that this is a low key shop, there was no pressure whatsoever to buy additional services like so many of the 15 minute places do. Some people are salesman and some people are mechanics and these are mechanics. Additionally, there were no extra fees at all (not a cent!) beyond the Groupon I purchased. And, instead of being greeted with disdain for using a Groupon as has happened in the past (why run a promotion if you're going to make it impossible to honor it?), they seemed pretty pleased their efforts to bring in new customers worked. Do you feel cared for at your auto shop? If not, I'd say to give these guys a try especially if you don't mind a little extra time taken on your car for things like an oil change, AC charge, brakes, etc. Wish them the best of luck!
