Came here last Friday with a friend since I just moved down the street I wanted to explore restaurants in the area. I've seen this place on weekends for brunch and it gets packed thankfully I came at a not so busy time. What enticed me was their bottomless mimosas 2 hours for only $20 what a steal right? I started off with French toast with a side of eggs and bacon which was pretty good! We tried the eggplant dish wasn't very appetizing but didn't want to complain because our server Fabio was amazing!! Went above and behind to make us happy.u friend waited for the dinner menu so we ate from that as well I tried the rigatoni dish (I believe that's what I had) I didn't know it would be very crunchy It seemed more half cooked my friend also got pasta her serving was very small though. The food was ok, I'd definitely come back from brunch but not sure about dinner. I recommend trying to sit in Fabio's section if you can he's awesome! read more

Definitely a great option for lunch / brunch. They serve the breakfast menu till 4 PM, which I would highly recommend you eat from. I had the eggs with salmon and they're able to make the plate completely dairy free for me. They do something very creative with their sides, instead of toast, they serve crepes and hashbrowns, the hashbrowns came in hush puppy like balls, but when you break them open, they're filled with zucchini. It's got a cool little patio that you can people watch from, and isn't too far off the beat from the Promenade... but far enough away that you're not getting the tourist crowd! read more

LOVE Blue Daisy! I know I've only been here a few months, but this place has become my go to brunch spot. It's a small-ish spot, but I've never had to wait--when I fly solo, I park myself at the bar and with friends, tables are easy to grab. The servers have always been extremely nice (although occasionally a bit clueless.) They are extremely careful when it comes to allergies--and their gluten free waffles and zucchini hash are bomb. I have never felt an inkling of sickness, coming out of here. Unlimited mimosas for 15 bucks during the week--two patios--service that doesn't push you out-and easy parking (I've always been able to find it on the street!) They also have a decent wine list, for weekend brunch...and a really great sangria. I'll obviously be a regular. read more

Went on yelp this morning to place an order on Grubhub for pick up. Let me place the order get my stuff together walk over there to pick it up and they are closed. This is extremely unprofessional, horrible business. I know these are crazy tires but it does not take long for one of the managers to flip a switch showing them closed on yelp to not allow orders to still come through. And sucks about the protests but that was 3 days ago. Plenty of time to turn off the ability to order online and take my money. read more

Place is nice but not the at some basic breakfast items. I ordered the 3 eggs with bacon and the Waffles. The continental breakfast at any hotel is about the same as this meal. Regular coffee is no good especially in this busy area flooded with restaurants. Tried this brunch spot with my friend and I would say it was not the best. It's a cute location and offered nice outdoor seating, but the food was overpriced and bland. The service was great and the workers were very nice and attentive. I got the hot chocolate, and it was so flavorless, and after it sat for awhile, I saw pools of oil looking puddles on top of the milk. I got the ham Benedict and it was very underwhelming. The cream cheese was a weird touch, and it just wasn't good for $15. The ham was extremely thin. Also I am not a fan of these zucchini balls. I wanted actual potatoes like hash browns or country potatoes. My zucchini balls were crispy on the outside and very soggy and wet in the inside, I was not a fan at all. Also not everyone likes zucchini so please offer other options. My friend got the breakfast burrito and she said it was good but nothing special. Her mimosa was very tasty though. Lastly, we split a half order of pancakes and they were expensive!! They were so tiny too!!! They tasted just live average pancakes, for that price I expected them to be better. Second visit of here. Last time we got seated in the patio, but this time we got seated in hall. We ordered chicken breast sandwich, chorizo burrito, and waffle. Chicken breast sandwich was really good, it wasn't salty or blend and there were so many vegetables inside. Everything tasted like well organized. It also comes with some salad which makes me so fresh. Chorizo burrito was little bit salty but tasted really good. Waffle came with strawberries and blueberries but it wasn't saggy. I happened upon this place while passing thru Santa Monica and found it to be charming and quite good...I came late-morning on a Friday and was delighted to have found a place that served brunch (my favorite meal)...which is usually a Saturday and Sunday thing in my neck of the woods on the East Coast. The menu items seemed very appealing, at a glance, and the service was excellent. The weather was great and we had a great seat on the patio; which is perfect for people watching and "star" gazing (Steve Harris from The Practice came in while I was there). I had the Salmon Cake Scandavia, which is a benedict served atop a croissant. It was good, but the salmon cake had alot going on it...veggie pieces. I also had one of the best Arnold Palmers I've had in a while...It has a sprig of mint which makes it extra refreshing. Both came with a salad but you could also substitute the salad for French fries. Service was cold. Coffee tasted like it had been there for hours. Still drank 3 cups of coffee though cus I hadn't drunken coffee yet and needed my fix. Would never return here. They could do better. The ambiance of the place is nice, it has potential to be better if the service was a little warmer and maybe servings to be a little bit bigger. Super cute place for brunch! Loved the outside seating area which is great for a date or with friends. Supposedly they have the best Bloody Mary's on the west side so you know I had to order that! Definitely didn't disappoint. Had the right amount of spice and alcohol (although they use soju instead of vodka since they only carry a wine and beer license). All the food was on point. My friend got the marscapone crepe with berries and it seriously hit the spot. Highly recommended for those who have a sweet tooth although it wasn't overly sweet for me which is a bonus. Since brunch carried on to 4pm, I decided to order on the happy hour menu which is everyday from 4-7pm. I definitely recommend coming here for happy hour as well! The $1 oysters were so fresh and the shrimp tacos were filling. Cant wait to come back to try more items on the menu. read more

So many nice reviews but from my close observation and experience, it was Just mediocre. The fries I ordered tasted like they were fried in cheap oil and it was confirmed when I got to see some of their ingredients based on my sightings owing to the place I was seated at. They use cheap quality Maple syrups, oils, etc. The tea I ordered was expensive for the one teabag I was handed with hot water. They can definitely brew some good quality loose leaf tea for a better taste and experience on that price. I wonder how people fail to notice and don't care about the quality and taste of food and are ready to pay exorbitant only to recieve mediocre. read more

Hubby took me there for a late brunch, and it was extremely disappointing. The only good thing is that the waitress was nice, but the food and the atmosphere need serious improvements. I ordered the $12 zucchini hash with poached eggs. Though it tasted ok, but the portion is so tiny I had to order a side of toast. Unfortunately the toasts came burned. On top of that, one of the bus boy walked around yelling a waitress' name non stop trying to deliver the meal to the right table was extremely distracting, and another one sweeping the floor while guests were dining were just unsanitary. Food, atmosphere, and service was exceptional. We came around Santa Monica looking for a good brunch spot and I think I found one of my favorite brunch spots ever in California. The starting point was the quick service and attention to detail from our waiter. She recommended items on the menu that definitley turned out to be great choices for breakfast. There are many options to choose from but they do a great job on any dish. We tried beef sliders with poached eggs on a crossaint and an American traditional breakfast and both were outstanding. The butternut squash: In my mind I pictured the squash would have been shredded and fried and mixed with ground beef and seasonings and formed into meatballs. Nope. There were meatballs in this dish. See the photo for what it actually looked like. To be honest, I would not have ordered it if I had seen what it looked like. Because while it's presentation is fine, it looks like just a dish of cubed butternut squash. Could not be further from the truth. This dish is heaven. It is the greatest thing I've ever tasted. And I've tasted a lot of things! I cannot when begin to describe how incredibly the pairing of flavors in this dish created magic for me with every bite. Please try it. The beef stroganoff was also delicious. I actually had been expecting something like my mom's ground beef and egg noodle stroganoff, but this arrived in a skillet with more like steak bits and finely shredded fried string potato/fries on top. There were of course yummy mushrooms, and no noodles. Oh yes, and the feta dip with seasoned pita is eye-rollingly perfect. Highly highly recommend this place. Service: The service here was and is always great. This was a Thursday evening and we were able to seat ourselves upon arrival. Water was refilled often and food came out relatively quickly. I never felt like I was waiting too long for anything. Our server took some time to tell us about other popular and interesting dishes when we started talking to her about how much we loved our food. We got inside about 10 minutes after writing our names down BUT was completely ignored thereafter. We had to hunt someone down for water, to take our order, to give us the check, to hand us back the check....... If I could sum up my entire experience with two words it would be EXCESSIVE WAITING. We were seated right away. However we waited for waiter to take our order. Apparently we were suppose to look at the menu via scanning a QR code. This was our first time here, didn't know that. And this wasn't explained to us at the time of being seated. She came back and we order our coffee and meals. A few other people were seated at tables. The lady told me she would bring it to me. I told her I've been waiting for our waitress to also bring it to me. I walk back to my seat. Then I noticed the people that were seated after us already had their food. I'm like geesh I still haven't even sipped my cold coffee yet. The waitress finally comes and we inquire about why there seemed to be a delay with our service but not with the other tables. She mentioned something about the chicken breast that I ordered taking longer. But this information wasn't given to us until we asked. The food was ok. Not a place I would recommend. I ordered straight off the menu, with the very words, "butternut squash dinner"- what could possibly go wrong? WELL: When the dish arrived immediately I was surprised to see meatballs in it, but hey, maybe they've gotten on board with gardein meatballs. So, after eating some of the butternutsquash and beans dish, I had a bite and realized, "uh oh, are these real?" I convinced myself that they wouldn't have messed this up; but i ate some of the squash and found something stringy that reminded me of when people cook with meat. So, I asked if it was vegetarian. She said, "you ordered the butternut squash." me: yes, the vegetarian one..... so she went to ask. Of course, it wasn't vegetarian. I can only gather that there is a similar dish on the meat-heavy menu and the server had made an assumption. I'm cool with human errors, but really not cool with eating meat. To their credit, they replaced the dish and the vegetarian version was very good. My husband and I waited for about 40-45 minutes for a table for 2 on Easter Sunday around early brunch time. Wait time was as expected for a trendy place like this. It's located on a corner in the busy area near the Santa Monica Promenade. Metered street parking was actually really easy to find when we arrived. The hostess was nice enough, polite. The outdoor seating was part wooden benches, where they provided pillows, so that was cool. The weather was great, so sitting outside was just fantastic. We ordered just two items to share: the Florentine Benedict and the Lemon Ricotta/Berry Crepe. Florentine Benedict: Whole wheat English muffin, cream cheese spread topped with sautéed spinach and mushrooms, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce. Served with zucchini hash browns. Lemon Ricotta Cheese and Lemon Sauce: Homemade ricotta cheese crepe with lemon sauce and fresh strawberries The Florentine Benedict was just a single English muffin cut in half, not even two English muffins, okay? The veggies that came with the dish were kind of gross, like the soggy string beans. My girlfriend saw the photo and commented, "At first glance I thought that green bean looked like a worm." LMAO. Might as well have been. I'm sure the worm would've tasted better. My husband liked the hash browns a lot because he loves zucchini; I could've done without. I enjoyed the crepe quite a bit. The portions there weren't that big but still we felt good after we finished our two dishes.
