Have had dinner here now many times and now one of my favorite places to come to dine and take folks for dinner... Food and service are good. Nice décor and located in the heart of Times Square area! Blue Fin is part of Landry's Select Restaurants (ever since BR Guest and Landry's combined) so... you get points for eating here! YAY! LSC members make reservations online and get points for dining! :) Décor is nice and seats are comfy - booths are nice! Enjoy sitting upstairs.. Cocktails: they have a full bar... and specialty cocktails...so choose your fancy... Appetizers: Crab cakes are delish- small but good (there are 2) Bang bang rock shrimp - good to share Tuna tacos - comes in 3 are good Entrees we had here: Plenty of other entrees to select from - sushi, seafood, and all but I always go with the.... Miso glazed chilean sea bass - my staple which I highly recommend to everyone and I have not steered anyone wrong! Esp since they crispy rice to the white rice... simple is good. Love, love, love it!!! Try it! Desserts are ok...Tried several of them...creme brulee (was ok), choc diva cake (bit heavy)

My first restaurant visit in New York City in a long time! Right outside of many of the Broadway theaters. We had a reservation and we were able to get in very easily around at dinner time. Service was excellent the entire time! We ordered a lot of sushi as well as some of the side dishes. Everything was top notch! Definitely would return for a very nice dinner. We didn't drink much but if you want, they have quite the selection! I just recommend all of the side dishes. They were just excellent!

A seafood, sushi restaurant that knows how to cook a good steak as well. Wow. What a wonderful dinner we surprisingly had at Bluefin. "Surprisingly", I say because it was a last minute dinner choice heading into New York 30 minutes before their closing. Located inside W Hotel in Time Square, we had a late arrival and simply wanted to catch a bite before heading to bed. Even though they were close to closing, Blue Fin was graciously so accommodating. Per our waiter's recommendation, I ordered their Sea-bass. Amazing. But what also stood out to me was their ribeye and wagyu. Simply cooked to perfection (even if it was perhaps their last order of the night). Their Mac n cheese and calamari was also so good. Thoroughly enjoyed each plate so very much. My only regret was not saving this meal later during our trip to enjoy more. I will definitely be back next time I visit New York. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and great first meal of our trip. Highly recommend giving their meat dishes a try along with their seafood & sushi.

This restaurant is truly hidden. I can't believe how many times I must have walked past it in the heart of Times Square. I visited with my family, and we had a table for three. The food is delicious; I ordered the prix fixe menu. The highlight for me was the first course: the Lobster Bisque. It was perfectly made and served with plenty of lobster. The salmon was good. The Butterscotch Bread Pudding for dessert was remarkably amazing! I highly recommend saving room for it, because I'm not sure it would be the same if it weren't served fresh and warm. The service was great, and our waiter was super friendly and helpful. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I also tried the sushi, which was excellent. We did have a minor hiccup with my sister's scallops not being fully cooked, but the manager handled it well and removed the entree from the bill. Overall, I would return, especially to try sitting at the bar for happy hour. I was pleasantly surprised and will be bookmarking this restaurant for future visits, or for when I need a spot to entertain family or friends who are visiting.

What a fantastic happy hour experience at Blue Fin inside the W Hotel Times Square! We were staying at the W and needed a quick, delicious bite before heading to musical theater, and they absolutely delivered. The food was incredible. We devoured the mini lobster rolls, perfectly steamed edamame, flavorful crab cake, and those truly memorable tuna poke tacos. For happy hour, head upstairs to the spacious and beautifully decorated bar, which I loved for its striking blue accents. A big shout-out to the amazing staff who made the experience even better! I'll definitely be back on my next trip to New York. Happy Hour Daily 4 - 6PM & 9PM - Close.

You know I love my birthday! So I was very excited when Joe took me to Blue Fin to celebrate. We got there a little before the hustle and bustle of actually dinner service so our server was very attentive and gave great and honest suggestions (which I always appreciate!). This has been sitting in my drafts for a while so it's hard for me to remember the details of the night but I remember leaving and thinking that I'd definitely be back. The restaurant is beautiful and great for a date night (or birthday ;) ).

Came here before a Broadway show and the food was very delicious. We got King crab fried rice, and three sushi rolls along with some oysters as the appetizer. The service was very friendly and very quick. They explain the menu and were very helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful on the inside. We came right before New Year's and it was all still decorated and it's Christmas themed stuff so it was really pretty and fun.

We've been going here for years - what an absolute gem, and the opposite of a tourist trap right in Times Square. We shared four small plates - the sea bass bites, the cauliflower salad, the bang bang rock shrimp and shishitos, and the baked oysters. Everything was flavorful, interesting, and impeccably made. We had room for dessert and were recommended the bread pudding - don't have to tell us twice. It was unbelievable... that truly might be the best dessert I've ever had. Topped with dolce de leche ice cream and a candied pecan sauce... Drool-worthy.

Service was prompt and friendly, although there were only two tables, including ours. For a great location, right on Times Square, it felt very eerie to be so empty. The upstairs was very spacious with plenty of room downstairs as well. Lots of sushi options and menu variety to appease any appetite. The food was creatively done, especially the Seabass bites. The presentation was superb and the complexity of different ingredients really was a highlight. The mini lobster rolls were a nice touch as an appetizer, but probably was better described as lobster sliders instead. A side orders of asparagus was very good as was being topped off with thick cut bacon bits and a fried egg was a creative touch! Although the other side of brussels sprouts were served with a healthy portion, I was disappointed that they were not roasted in much to use soft which left it quite bland. The Chilean Seabass was good, although the portion was very small. Interesting, the ribeye was a good size, but not very thick although it was cooked very well with a nice sear. For the price, I don't think it was a good value, especially with so much competition nearby, but the food was above average although the portions were small. I am also a little disappointed that there was no recognition for my son who was celebrating his birthday, until we actually left when the hostess greeted him. I specifically mentioned that we were celebrating his milestone when making the reservation. While most restaurants would offer some complementary dessert, I was only hoping for some type of recognition during the meal.

What a great find while exploring Times Square! And, lucky for me I got to take advantage of their Happy Hour specials! Friendly staff and quick service! I will visit again when I'm back in NYC!

The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu.
