Ammar is great! The outdoor shower fixture came pre-assembled, but unfortunately, the manufacturer had installed the incorrect cartridge for the hot water, causing the nozzle to turn clockwise to turn on. The manufacturer shipped me the correct cartridge, and Ammar came back out, installed it, and did not charge me for the service. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was working properly. I called Mike at Blue Gold Plumbing after seeing his reviews. We have water under our house with a sump pump. Unfortunately, it wasn't at the lowest point under the house and it wasn't draining all the water. We needed to move it. He suggested to add a 2nd one instead of moving it. Made sense. Mike was very detailed in the work he did. He took before and after photos and videos and shared them with us. Get this, he saw that one of our 2x4s at our front porch was loose and unstable. He added a piece to the bottom to anchor it. Totally fixed it! Nothing to do with plumbing. He said it was unsafe and had to fix it. Solid guy. Solid company. They cane 2 times at my home to install Reverse Osmosis water filter system and also to stop/disconnect a gas line in my backyard. One thing stood out with them is that "they care about customers" no matter if its a big job or small. They installed the RO system very well. For the last couple of weeks, I noticed that after flushing the toilet, the water would keep running. Being a professional plumber myself(NOT), I implemented the jiggle the flusher method. Lo and behold it didn't work! So of course I decided to open the handy, dandy Yelp app to start a project to get this fixed ASAP. Out of all the plumbers that replied, I received the generic response of we can CALL you to consult. Blue Gold was the only one who actually reached out and gave an approximate quote! I really appreciated that. When I reached out to them, within minutes they responded and we were able to schedule a visit the same day! We scheduled an appointment between 4pm-6pm and they did not disappoint. Their rep Zay came just a few minutes after 4. I was super impressed as he was very friendly and professional. I knew I was in good hands. We setup a follow up appointment for the following day at 9am. Again, Zay arrived even minutes before 9am! As they say, time is money and I was happy he arrived early. Zay worked very quickly and was able to replace the broken part within 15-20 minutes! No more running water after you flushed! Besides the professional work, the pricing for the parts and labor was very reasonable. Plumbing is one of those things people dread because you always hear horror stories of plumbers being a pain to work with or charging an arm and a leg. Buyer beware. Seemed like Mike/Ammar would be great at getting a simple pipe and spigot relocated quickly and at a reasonable fee. I shared photos and he scheduled to visit (within 30 hrs) for making a price quote and also agreed to bring along the required parts such that the very easy job could be completed on same day if the quote was acceptable. (Pls note it took only 1 hour for the plumber I ended up hiring ) The great reviews here were encouraging. (Turns out the 5 stars might be misleading) I also found this company listed in the diamond certified booklet plus yelp cites there is a verified license on file. I was looking forward to hiring Blue Gold but in the end it did not work out. A truly odd scenario unfolded including concerning communication gaps and dishonesty July 9th I should now add, the description below by staff is not at all accurate. For the benefit of others I will disclose that I was harassed to remove this review entirely even after upgrading it from 0 to 3 and editing towards a more positive focus. I now regret spending any time on that request I'm not alone. Other customers have similarly been coerced into changing their reviews. This goes against the whole goal and principle of Yelp. Water heater pipe has a big leak and water was spraying everywhere. I have called many different plumber for 24/7 emergency repair and ALL are AI assistants that are not really helpful EXCEPT Blue Gold Plumbing. Mike taught me how to turn off the gas switch and water switch over the phone and came out the next day to repair. Later found out the previous person that installed it did a very bad job (it has only been a year). The connectors are all rusty so he's going to have to replace the whole heater. He tried to help with the warranty but sadly previous installer didn't register it so it got denied and Mike got me a new one instead. When they come back the next day to remove the old heater and replace the new one we found out there's lots of holes and mold on the wall and ceiling. He offered to repair all of them and remove the mold for a very reasonable price before they can install the new one. 2 days later came back and fixed everything including the ceiling, wall, pipes, and also installed the new water heater! Mike and his team were outstanding. When our complex was built the builders planted trees in front of every home right next to the water main line to the homes. The roots of the tree on front of our home have grown tremendously and resulted in a breakage in the line. Blue Gold Plumbing arrived promptly at the time they said they would and did a big job removing the tree roots in order to replace the line while also ensuring the integrity of the tree. They worked in the rain, removing all of the roots and replacing the old PVC line with a copper line. When they were finished they left everything the way it was before they came, minus the leak of course. Another thing that differentiated Blue Gold Plumbing from other services like plumbers was that they focused on ensuring a quality job that would last versus the bare minimum fix. Too much bidding drama for me so cost them a star. I prefer businesses who are upfront and honor line item quotes and not try to alter prices by nearly doubling afterwards when one chooses to do only 1 of 2 line items (this is why line item quotes are requested so we can opt in or out of various scope of job). After initial scathing review, they came to my home offering to do job for free if I removed the review. When I agreed, and they returned the following week, the drama restarted when they pushed that I pay them something (so they again showing not living up to their word of doing it for free that they had just negotiated). In the end, I paid them exactly what I had expected to pay when I first received the line item quote. Actual work quality is 4 stars. Plumbing work is 5 stars. Sheetrock/drywall repair pretty good but not perfect - it's too pushed in as didn't cut it near stud and didn't secure with plywood scrap behind to re-secure non stud floating piece of drywall end. BEWARE of their Fast talk and Loose commitments! HomeServe had assigned to them the job of finding and repairing an underground main water line leak at my house in Los Gatos. Mike came out and evaluated the task on Saturday 12/6/25. He told me not to worry as they have a lot of 5 star reviews, can handle this job, and will come out on Sunday or Monday to fix it. Blue Gold did not respond to any of my phone calls or text messages on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I finally called HomeServe to complain. They checked with Blue Gold and told me that Mike had personally confirmed to them that Blue Gold will come out between 12-2 pm on Wednesday. On Wednesday at 1:30 pm Blue Gold abruptly cancelled their appointment with no explanation whatsoever. I would not trust them ever again! read more

First off this is the friendliest plumber you are ever going to meet. He worked on my issue on a Sunday. accommodating to my scheduling needs with no extra charge or fee. When he arrived he quickly showed his expertise and diagnosed the issue in this case of drain that hasn't really worked in the last 10 years due to corroded galvanized pipes.
