    Small Wild Mushroom

Very spacious place with both indoor and outdoor seating. There's also counter seating by the bar area. I'd like to preface this review by saying that I've ordered pizzas from here in the past to go and it was underwhelming to me. The crust seems too hard and it was just ok. However after eating these pizzas at the restaurant in person, fresh out of the oven made such a huge difference. Service was very good. We ordered a small wild mushroom pizza with thin crust and a small sausage hot honey arugula pizza in deep crust style. Both were good but the one that really stood out for me was the wild mushroom pizza. Thin crust with the perfect amount of cheese pull with a hint of truffle oil. Both small size pizzas were enough for the 4 of us. Very delicious!

Came post Xmas with the family to relax and have some pizza. We tried the mushroom thin crust, pear/arugula thin crust, and a hot honey deep dish, as well as a cheese pizza for the kids. We arrived right at opening and only had one party ahead seated and already eating. There seemed to be only two servers and the food took quite a long time to arrive as more guests came in and took seats inside (we sat on the patio due to our party size of 13). We noticed other tables getting their single pizzas before our table - and didn't get water refilled until we asked. When the pizzas arrived after about 35-40 min, they did come all together so perhaps it was just timing of a big order. The best was the mushroom pizza - if you love mushrooms, you have to try it as thin crust!! The hot honey deep dish lost nearly all the hot and honey flavor due to the abundance of tomato so that might just be better as thin crust. The pear/arugula was unique but a bit sweet for my taste for pizza. My husband and I actually had our rehearsal dinner here 10 years ago so we had high expectations for the pizza (which delivered) but we just had a subpar serving experience. Still - I would come back to have the pizza again as it's quality pizza.

Was craving both deep dish and thin crust pizza so decided to check out Blue Line in Burlingame. Came on a Saturday night at 8 pm. Upon entering my fiancé and I were handed menus and told to sit wherever we would like. We got water right away but weren't serviced until 15 minutes in, with the place not being that busy. We decided to put our whole order in (drinks, appetizers, pizza) and they all came out at a decent time in order. The second drink and bill took really long to get. They definitely seemed short staffed, but did their best. Old Fashion - 4/5 - Nice pour, mildly sweet Spicy chicken wings - 3/5 - more like seasoned wings than spicy. They are plump and juicy, just expected them to have some spiciness to it. Chicago Chopped (deep dish) - 5/5 - The red tomato sauce had so much flavor! It had just enough cheese and a good amount of meat, giving space to enjoy each element of a deep dish. The crust was warm and crunchy, really tasting the cornmeal flavor which did cut through the saltiness of the toppings. The cornmeal crust is different but they execute it well in a deep dish. Cheese pull goes crazy. Bees & the Bird (thin crust) - 2.5/5 - The topping combination is unique and goes together in a sophisticated way with bacon, honey, white sauce, chicken, grilled onions, and a honey drizzle on white sauce. The concept of this in a thin crust slice sounds amazing but the cornmeal crust felt a little too brittle/thick and crunchy opposed to blending with the toppings. Next time I'd get this in a deep dish.

We ordered a deep dish pizza, a pesto chicken one and a strawberry salad. We also had an order of Brussels sprouts. For some reason, everything looked good but the flavors We're not there. The brussel sprouts were a Little wilted and not crispy as I expected. The pesto thin crust pizza did not have enough pesto to really stand out and I think the deep dish needed more salt.

I was looking for a snack on my drive to the city and Blue Line to the rescue. The thin crust pepperoni individual size pizza was just the right meal. Delicious and filling.

Back at it again for another meal at Blue Line Pizza Burlingame. We wanted to watch part of the warriors game, so we grabbed a couple seats at the bar and grabbed some appetizers and a couple of beers. I've talked about the 'black & blue' salad to my partner for months, and of course it was delicious as always. The half size is $10 and honestly good enough for a meal on its own for one person. The blue cheese and bacon, plus the dressing, so darn good. We also got the wings and an order of the spinach artichoke dip. The wings were surprisingly spicy, which we enjoyed. They could've been just a tad bit crispier but overall solid wings. The spinach and artichoke dip was alright though. It comes out piping hot and the cheese crust on top was the best part. The dip itself was creamy but kinda lacked in flavor. IMO it's missing a kick of spice. Overall, still a solid location in the Burlingame area. Great spot to grab a salad, pizza to share, and a watch the warriors game.

Great service. Food and drinks were good overall but the spicy wings were the bomb. Outside patio was nice, both spacious and comfortable.

Slightly cooked veggies on top of cooked pizza and no klamata olives, regular olives thrown on pizza.

The food, below expectations: I have ordered this pizza time and time again and this was bad, Small Italian combo, pizza came out cheese and meat cooked but the veggies were raw and just plopped on top, this pizza comes with klamata olives but this this pizza came with black olives, huge difference bc of the taste, pizza was underwhelming; the wings were exceptional and great as always! But the pizza was below standards.

Came here for weekday lunch and had a good experience. The menu has a lot of options and ordering is easy. I like how many different crust options you can choose from. Relative to the surrounding areas, this place offers really good American restaurant style pizzas. The other restaurants are mostly Italian and the toppings aren't as bountiful. Blue Line food is delicious. Ambiance is mostly dark and bar-ish, but it's clean and there's nice window lighting at the front and back. When I'm in the mood for pizza, I'll definitely be coming here.

Gorgeous patio with great vibes. Ordered a deep dish pizza, which was swimming in the most delicious tomato sauce I've ever tasted. Loved how chunky it was. Perfectly melted cheese underneath. Wonderful serving size. One objection: the crust is made of cornmeal. My confused palate starting associating the taste with grits, which is an odd combination with pizza!

I was recommended this place by a friend who used to live locally. Restaurant had a chill vibe, wasn't too big, or too loud. The food was ready in about 15 minutes or less after ordering which was great. We ordered a Caesar salad and a create your own pizza on thin crust. The salad was delicious and I order Caesar's a lot so this was a top five for me. The pizza was also super yummy and the crust was perfect. I do feel like the price per topping was a little expensive, as I only picked 3 and ended up spending more than if I had gotten a specialty pizza. Our waitress was friendly but I do feel like once we got the food we weren't checked on for a while. By the time she did come back I was ready for my box and bill. When wrapping up I was able to pay by a QR code which was nice. Overall service was good and I'd definitely go back.

Mushroom and White Truffle Oil Pizza
    Reena T.

We ordered the Mushroom and White Truffle Deep Dish Pizza, it was good but they could have made the dish thick like how they do in Chicago, it was more like a thin crust pizza. I would still go back and try their original Blue Line pizza. Only thing is we had a server who said our order was weird because we wanted the mushroom on half of the pizza then said to save him a slice. My bf was getting annoyed. They were nice but it's not really their place to give an opinion if the customer's order is "weird".

    Paul O.

Good deep dish pizza and they have TVs to watch sporting events. Nowadays it's hard to distinguish between the various deep dish pizzerias. I'd give BL a solid four stars though. Taste is good and service is above average.

We haven't had an allergic reaction here yet and we're thankful for the staff and their attention to detail. Aside from allergies, their Bread Stix are so good. Made with Bread, parmesan, garlic, oil and herbs. They resemble garlic bread but better in my opinion. Dip that in their pesto ranch, and it's a combo that can compete with anybody. Not to mention their pizza and wings are good too. The dough is soft but still holds strong. Although the sliced pizza might be sitting out for a while they reheat it in the oven before serving. We went on a slow night and still dealt with a total "slow turnaround" and some classic operational gaffes. They couldn't find the bottle of wine we actually wanted and then spent way too much time trying to sell us on a different bottle we had zero interest in. It was a bit of a circus just to get the basics situated. But then the food arrived, and that's where the magic happened. I've seen reviews complaining about a "lack of flavor," but that was not our experience at all. We started with the beet salad--the honey-lemon notes were nice, though nothing to write home about. But once the mains hit, everything changed. The Carpaccio was spot on, the Ribeye (prepared perfectly to medium) was delicious, and the Branzino special was fantastic. And the Rigatoni Rustica? Believe the hype. It's a classic for a reason. Bottom line: The service is definitely sloppy, but I wouldn't dismiss this place because of it. The food is genuinely good Italian and the prices are reasonable for Burlingame. My advice? Skip the salads, ignore the service "monkey dance," and go straight for the classics. I'd definitely go back just for the steak and the Rigatoni alone. Highly recommended if you actually care about what's on your plate. An A++ local find.
