The menu is a QR code and you order via the phone. We ordered a Small Blue Line and two beers (Barebottle Brewing Rotator & Coronado Orange Ave Wit). That was the perfect amount of food for the two of us! The pizza took around 20 mins to make and came out good! I love the crust and the perfect ratio of toppings to sauce and cheese. DELICIOUS FOOD. BITTER EXPERIENCE. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I don't like poor customer service even more. It's funny how a couple of careless employees can taint a beloved business. My food, pizza+wings+salad, were outstanding as always. But my phone experience left a lingering bitter taste. The "girls" answering the phone tonight, a Saturday, did not listen to a word I said. Furthermore, they weren't clever enough to mute the phone while they made fun of me, using the F word a couple of times. All quite hilarious to them, as I listened on. Then, as one girl handed me off to another, she gave the wrong reason for WHY I was calling. One of them finally said, "...wait, is he still on the phone?" This person completely ignored me when I told her that I heard everything they said about me. Takes one to know one, and these girls seemed high AF. Eventually, I hung up from frustration. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I really like this restaurant, but I can't give this Blue Line Pizza anymore of my $$ if this is the type of treatment customers can expect when calling in. Solid place for deep dish pizza in Burlingame! Came to the area to visit some friends and knew this was in the area so wanted to try it out. I had it a while back and also have heard that these are the same people behind Little Star in SF, so definitely was eyeing it for a while. It's cool that they have many locations in the Bay Area! As a vegetarian, I opted for the Blue Line deep dish, which had some veggies, feta and ricotta, and the other standard toppings you get from a deep dish. I got it without the mushrooms as I can't stand mushrooms unfortunately. And it was a pretty solid pizza! I wouldn't say it was mind blowing, but the flavors work, and it's a solid deep dish whenever you are in the mood for one. I got full off of 2 slices, but I would say if someone was really hungry maybe they can eat 3. It was great that they had gluten free and vegan cheese options as one of our friends got that and loved it. There are other deep dish pizza chains in the Bay Area, but although I wouldn't rate this at the top for my own personal tastes, I can count on this place for a solid deep dish slice as a vegetarian :) read more

Service was good and a water pitcher was placed at our table which was good given that the pizza was pretty salty all things considered. Loved the different types of cheeses on the pizza. So I just ordered a "large" Chicaho Chop deep dish pie via doordash. How they can call this "large" i have no idea. It's 12 in. in diameter and cut into eight slices. For Shabbat dinner, my brother, sister-in-law, Mom, and I got pizza and homemade dessert for dinner while my baby nephew slept. They enjoyed the Chicago style deep dish pizza which looked huge! I found the vegetarian white sauce pizza to be delish. All organic. My crust was gluten free and had vegan cheese, zuccini, and green peppers on top. Came here for lunch one afternoon with family, and they were kind enough to let us take over a good section of tables on their back outdoor patio. The staff was very kind and catered to us pretty well. When you get there, you place your order first, and then sit down. There were a ton of options, and the food was SO plentiful. Huge portions. everything we had was delicious. My personal favorites were the garlic bread and the salad. I also got the pepperoni deep dish, because I haven't done a deep dish pizza in such a long time. It was SO fantastically cheesy. The flavor and freshness were all there! I went here for lunch with some friends today. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. We got the Blue Line pizza thin crust and the BBQ chicken pizza deep dish. The BBQ pizza deep dish was decent, but wasn't that cheesy or as saucy as a true deep dish pizza should be. I thought the Blue Line pizza was pretty plain. Yummy yummy pizza!! I was actually first introduced to deep dish pizza at Blue Line and I've been to several of their other Bay Area locations. I've always had good experiences here and I recently ordered via Doordash. My favorite item is their garlic bread!!!! It's sooooo good and even better with their marinara sauce! Sometimes we have to order two servings because it's just that good. I used to order their BBQ Chicken which is also pretty good. If you're a fan of BBQ sauce then you will definitely enjoy it! She spoke to certain guests with kindness and respect and others she would not make eye contact with, interrupted them when they spoke, etc. we stood waiting in the empty restaurant for several minutes before even being acknowledged. She would not make eye contact, and took items off our table without our permission. She was extremely rude and is the sole reason I would not return. She was very kind, pleasant, and personable with some guests but not others. We also waited over 30 minutes for an appetizer to arrive. Recently I took some time to catch up with an old friend over dinner.  He and I disagree on a lot of things, but we were both of one mind when it came time to pick our dinner venue; we wanted some outstanding pizza served by a restaurant that has a reasonable corkage fee and an outdoor dining area that didn't start life as a parking lot.  Given those criteria, it didn't take us long at all to select Blue Line Pizza Burlingame. We met at the venue on Burlingame Avenue at a few minutes after 1pm on a Saturday.  There weren't many other diners when we arrived so we had our pick of tables on their big, room back patio.  Both of us are suckers for Chicago deep-dish pizza and my friend is a multiple visit Blue Line veteran, it didn't take us long to agree on our pizza order.  Knowing that it takes 40+ minutes for them to bake a deep-dish pie here, we made a point of ordering our pizza first thing (even before we place placed our beverage orders).  The pie we agreed on was a small deep-dish "Blue Line" (Spinach blended with ricotta & feta, mushrooms, onions, garlic, mozzarella, marinara sauce) with my half converted to a "Brass Monkey" (an off menu favorite - the "Blue Line" with Italian Sausage added) with Pepperoni thrown in as well. With our entrée started, we then ordered an appetizer (to keep us from passing out during the 40+ minute wait) and some beverages.  For our appetizer, we went with the Garlic Bread (warm housemade bread topped with a blend of butter, garlic & melted mozzarella, served with warm marinara sauce).  On the non-alcoholic beverage front, we both opted for bottles of sparkling water; our choice of alcoholic beverage was a bottle of  2019 Melville Estate Pinot Noir that I'd brought along for the occasion from my wine cellar.   Tip: The corkage fee here at Blue Line is a very reasonable $10; much easier to digest than the ludicriously high $95 per bottle they charge at Protege in Palo Alto. Our garlic bread arrived in a few minutes; I tried some, and it was excellent.  Our pizza arrived as expected after a wait of about 35 minutes, and it was completely out-of-this World!  The cornmeal crust is impeccable perfection; perfectly cooked, chewy, just a touch tangy, and totally delicious; the toppings and sauce are first-tier, and every slice of their pie drips with gooey, lush, cheesy goodness.  We completely enjoyed our catch up conversation, as well as the excellent food and ultra-reasonable corkage fee.  Five stars all the way for the location, the welcoming, friendly service, and the world-class pizza! read more

LOCATION + PARKING it's downtown Burlingame so finding street parking may take a minute. I came on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 other parties. Kinda concerning for a business during peak lunch hour. They have a spacious outdoor seating area. It was a chilly November afternoon and I asked if they could turn on the portable heaters. The (new?) waiter could not figure it out. He said he was going to follow up with his manager but never came out to resolve. I think this was my first time eating cornbread deep dish pizza. I found it extra delightful with drizzled honey! The menu does caveat that deep dish can take 20-30 min and it did take around that much time. I can't imagine how slow service would be if it was a fully packed restaurant. We ordered 1 large deep dish, 1 small deep dish, 1 thin crust pizza, 1 salad for a party of 7. It was enough food with just a few leftover pieces to take home and we all paid less than $20 for our meal. My friend who has had other Blue Line Pizza locations said she liked the pizza at the other locations. I don't have not much to compare it to. I think this place is a nice alternative to Rise Pizza which is also on the same street. I would come here again to try other dishes. Nothing blew my mind, thus the 3 stars. read more

However, when I decide to splurge for beau, it never disappoints! For a Sunday night in, babe and i went for some pizza and wine. We always customize to thick deep dish at Blue Line for their corn flour crust (extra crispy and flavour) and ordered the italian combo this time. It paired perfectly with wine from home! We loved the meatiness of the toppings, the grilled onions and extra red sauce. Tastes BEST when served hot. Don't underestimate the serving size for one slice. I used to love this place but has gone downhill. It used to be a cute and trendy spot that was great to go with friends or for a date night. Now it is completely run down. The place is messy and dirty. It doesn't look like anyone keeps it up at all. It's no longer somewhere comfortable to go and eat. It just seems like no one working there really cares anymore. There's no host, the server was wearing a hoodie, no one came by to check on the table, it just seems like no one takes pride in it anymore. After looking around for a restaurant in Burlingame, we stumble on to Blue Line pizza. I read that they had Chicago deep dish pizza and we want to try. The restaurant is a little hard to find since the sign is very hard to see and the location is sandwiched between two other restaurants. They have seating both in the inside and outside terrace. They also have a partlet that they still use. I ordered the Chicago combo. I ordered the grande which feeds 1 to 2 person. When the pizza came, it did not disappoint. The size was just right for two people and we had four pieces each. It was rather good and the mozzarella was definitely cheesy in a good way. The only disappointment I had was that they no longer served dessert. I really wanted the apple bread pudding. Burlingame, it's a wonderful playground for foodies since there's so many restaurants there. However, if you want deep dish pizza, I think this place would be a good choice. read more

Blue Line Pizza I had lunch here on a Thursday and there was nobody there except our party of 12. Typically, I would be a little weary but after having Blue Line on several other occasions (albeit take out), I still expected decent quality pizza. That's exactly what they delivered! First, we had some chicken wings and artichoke dip as appetizers. I don't recommend the wings at this pizza joint but the artichoke dip is as really yummy! We ordered several pizzas, but I will only review the ones that I tried. 1. The mushroom pizza was probably my favorite. Although it does not have a lot of toppings, you can definitely taste the richness of the truffle oil that elevates the whole flavor of the pie. Probably my favorite on the menu. 2. The Hot Honey, Sausage, Arugula is a solid pie but it was missing something that binds the flavors of each ingredients together. Conceptually, I like the honey and sausage combo but it could use something like mushrooms. 3. The BBQ chicken is a take on the basic 'southwestern' style that to me is the pizza with bbq sauce. It was tasty and a safe choice but I would try something else next time. Overall, if I had to choose between CPK and Blue Line, I would always choose Blue Line. However, I think there are some smaller pizza shops that have a lot more quality that I would rather support. read more

My coworkers and I came here for dinner, and we started off with hot wings and cheesy garlic bread. It was the perfect amount of food and came out quickly. Really disappointed to leave this review because I've been to Blue Line Pizza a couple times in the past and have really enjoyed the food. However, my boyfriend and I came to Blue Line around 9:30pm on Saturday night for a quick late dinner and the "service" was nonexistent. We first thought the restaurant was closed because there was no one inside, but on Yelp it said they were open until 10:30pm. We stepped in, and there was a server walking towards the front who clearly saw us - but didn't say a single word and proceeded to clean the table. There was a guy at the bar who I mistakenly thought was an employee but apparently he was just there to pick up his to-go order. I mean, he was the only one that was looking in our direction so I thought he worked there! Finally, a server from behind the bar came out and I asked if they were still open. He said yes and told us to "sit anywhere". We sat down and were not given menus or anything at all, two servers came by, stared at us and pointed to each other as if they were deciding who should serve us - turns out, neither of them wanted to. We sat there for another few minutes, unable to get the attention of anyone and the restaurant was pretty much empty now. I never like or want to get up and leave a restaurant but at this point it didn't seem like they wanted to serve us, so we left. If your restaurant claims to be open until 10:30pm - serve your customers UNTIL 10:30pm. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the customer service at this location needs to improve drastically and I will not be returning because they obviously do not value their customers. read more

I threw my 30th birthday here this past weekend and it was the best decision I made! I reserved the lower outdoor patio for a group of 36 people. Heather, the event coordinator, made the process so smooth from start to finish! She was very responsive and answered all of my questions leading up to the event. Luckily, a lot of restrictions were lifted after June 15. She also provided me an invoice ahead of time but no money was due until the end of the event. I was able to pre-order food for my party at least 48 hours in advance. My guests were able to purchase alcoholic beverages through the QR code, the server, or at the bar. I ordered party platters of salads, spicy meatballs and spicy wings. I ordered 8 large pizzas as well. The spicy wings and the mushroom truffle pizza were a hit! The outdoor ambiance was amazing. Always been a fan of Blue Line/Little Star but this location in particular is nice bc of their spacious patio in the back. Perfect for hosting special events. In fact, our family have celebrated several birthdays and engagement parties with the space. Their pies are always on point, loaded with lots of ingredients and all that cheese. Don't overlook the cheesy garlic bread, the kids are a fan! While the menu at Blue Line is slightly different than Little Star, my tummy always leave satisfied. I have to admit, I do regret not trying out BLP sooner. I'm an avid fan of thin crust pizza only. I've tried deep dish style pizzas at various places and I've never cared for them.
