Never order açaí from them; you'll end up paying for something completely poorly made. It's a disgrace to send something like this out $16 for a shoddy product! I can understand a delay, but receiving something like this is unacceptable! I ordered three açaí bowls the total came to $68.93 and this is the disappointment I got!

This is a coit tower crispy crust so beautiful and just as delicious as it looks. Best pizza in san mateo not greasy like the other parlors around! Ingredients flavor on point this place never dissapoints!!!

The pizzas were good. Service, could have been better. I like their pizzas, not my first choice but was still worth it. I just wish servers would check on the table once, maybe fill the water...never asked how everything was. Other than that if you don't care about any of those things, the you're good to go with this place. There was another person that was waiting on a few tables, constantly checking in, smiling, asking how things were, just simple basics help a lot.

    Fried Calamari

Regarding food quality: The fried calamari was not acceptable. It tasted like chips, extremely dry, undercooked , and lacking the soft, tender texture calamari should have. From both the taste and appearance, it seemed poorly prepared and not fresh. Not worth spending money here. never get calamari Pizza- always tasting good ‍ FYI i Made the mistake of ordering online on their website instead of a third party like DoorDash, and now I can get a refund for the calamari! Order on DoorDash

Yummy food, big portions, reasonably priced! The meat supreme pizza was delicious- piping hot, cheese, flavorful. The carbonara pasta with tortellini is perfect amount of dough and sauce. Spaghetti shrimp Diablo was just a right amount of spicy. The Italian chopped salad was a bit too salty

I'd give the pizza a weak 4/5 star (better than a strong 3/5). The restaurant seemed focused on premium prosciutto and other kinds of meats, which my husband is really into, but I'm not that excited by. I think this was probably the best pizza we've had so far in downtown San Mateo, but it was so much more expensive than other pizzerias that I think I'd rather go back to other restaurants instead. The ambience was definitely great for a fancy date night or dinner celebration, and the weight staff were clearly aiming for an elevator experience (the waiter we got was a little bit overly enthusiastic, and somewhat socially awkward).

Quick slice to grab if you want pizza at the park. Nothing more nothing less. Better than chain restaurants. Gets the job done.

First time and definitely it is a come back place! Food tastes delicious, excellent size of portions, staff is very kind and the place is clean and so comfortable!! D e l i De l I

Just look at that cheese! Honestly, this is exactly what I imagined pizza would look and taste like when I was a kid. Beyond the incredible cheese pull, their pizza is easily one of the best I've ever had in terms of flavor. The staff are also incredibly kind--they even surprised us with a free cheesecake for my fiancé's birthday.

I am not entirely sure why this place has a low rating because their food is on point! Well...mainly the pasta is delicious and I have no complaints. The pizza on the other hand, I wish the dough was a little bit more crisp and not have a lot of flop. The garlic bread loaded with tomatoes and cheese is delicious and I would say it tasted better than the pizza.

Very disappointed I live right next to them and the pizza came completely different then the pictures I saw so very disappointed I even pay more for the extra cheese and that's what they send to me

Discovered this place by accident and now it's my favorite italian restaurant! Food is great, the place y very cozy and the attention we received was great. First time I came here tried the frutti di mare pasta and was DELICIOUS, dolores park pizza is my fave and the ricotta calzone is also amazing

Well deserved Bib Gourmand status! It was a beautiful day, with sunlight filtering though the tree…read moreleaves as I was sat outside for my dinner. I ordered the house made focaccia and margherita pizza. Yes, I love carbs. The foccacia is delicious. The bread goes through a 72 hour dough maturation so it develops these really complex, mouthwatering, savory flavors even though it's made with simple ingredients: yeast, flour (Primitiva), salt, and brushed olive oil. That's it! The crumb is fine and as light as the puffy clouds in the sky. If you wanted to, you could probably ball up a piece of bread the size of my hand into the size of a ping pong ball, but why would you? Enjoy the bread as it is presented. The edges of the bread are charred a little, adding extra texture and flavor. I'm actually kind of confused how to eat the bread as it's cut into large hunks, but there's no butter or dipping oils, so I ended up gnawing into the bread like a rat. The margherita pizza came out pre cut, but the paper-thin crust in the middle of the pie was somehow still substantial enough to not get soggy that quickly. The huge leaves of basil were very fragrant, and the tomato sauce was bright, balanced, and captured the best essence of tomato. It played well with the cheese. The crust was made of a different dough, chewy, pliable, savory, and spotted beautifully. Service was wonderful. The waiter boxed up my leftover pizza (and even asked if I wanted to box up the slice of pizza crust I couldn't finish-yes of course!). Very thoughtful. It's a shame I was too full to order dessert.

For starters, we shared the meat & cheese board which our waitress recommended the off menu combo plate (2 meats & 2 cheeses for ~$40). Solid and straightforward rather than elaborate. The breads and especially the lard were the more interesting part. For entrees, we shared the diavola pizza: Good flavor with the crust being the standout. Worth mentioning that it's a softer, fork-and-knife style pizza rather than a crispy slice. Paired with the pizza was the Red wine mezzi rigatoni. Probably the most interesting savory dish. The pork sausage ragù and crispy sage made it different from a standard rigatoni. Pasta + Pizza was a great shareable combo. Lastly to round off the meal, desserts. The Chocolate trifle was the disappointment. The amount of foam overwhelmed everything else and made it underwhelming. The bomboloni were much better, particularly with the peaches. Tobias Take: Great option for people who want wine, charcuterie/cheese and several dishes for the table to share. Their meat/cheese selection and wine list are major strengths. This place shines when you order several things for the table rather than everyone ordering an individual entrée.

What we ordered: Prosciutto Di Parma Arugula Pizza (+ burrata) = 100000/10 FOOD: 9/10 Served hot, fresh, and made to order, this pizza truly hit the spot. The crust had those delicious wood-fired charred bits and was the perfect thickness, not too thin, not too thick. The burrata (worth the extra charge!) was rich and creamy, while the arugula added the perfect fresh, crunchy bite. Every ingredient worked so well together. I'm literally salivating as I type this! Paired with some good wine? Chef's kiss! SERVICE: 9/10 Every staff member we interacted with struck the perfect balance of being friendly and laid-back. We sat at the bar, where the bartender also served as our waiter. He was personable, kept up a great conversation, and was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, all while mixing drinks and taking care of other guests. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Spacious, clean, and incredibly inviting. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and all the train station-inspired decor throughout the restaurant. The large windows let in so much natural light that it's an even better place to sit back and enjoy a meal. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area.

They are located right next to a train station. As in, the train is a few feet away from the dining area. Whenever the train stopped, it was so loud and screechy. This happened at least four times while we were having dinner. What I'm baffled by is that they have windows that can be closed, but they didn't close them. We shared four pizzas amongst five people, and it was the perfect amount of food. We got the BBQ chicken, Calabrese + honey, funghi, and Margherita pizzas. The BBQ chicken was my personal favourite, while others liked the Calabrese + honey. I thought that one just tasted like a plain pizza with tomato sauce and honey. I really liked the funghi as well as the cheese was rich. The Margherita was normal. A lot of these pizzas had bitter-tasting leaves instead of something less sharp like spinach. Each pizza was around $20-25. Service was fine.

The pappardelle alla norcina was inoffensive. It had plenty of mushrooms, but I substituted chicken for shrimp at an extra cost and got a total of 6 tiny shrimps. It normally comes with chicken, but the traditional Umbrian dish is pork sausage so they just wanted a fancy name for especially alfredo sauce with artifical truffle oil.
