This brew house is a hidden gem! The food is amazing! They have an outdoor patio that overlooks a lovely grassy area with sidewalks. The service here is impeccable. Every person who has been our waitstaff has been very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and beers on tap. I particularly have loved their french dip sandwich, which is a thing I have high expectations for. I am often disappointed, but not here! I ordered the build your own vegan sausage sandwich -- i got chipotle sauce, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, and mexican sausage. it was really good but I wish there was something to cut the richness. Overall, good and kept me full. My mom ordered the happy hour fish and chips which came with a side of fries. This was a steal because it's actually one of the "smaller" portions! We walked into the restaurant and I began to say we were looking for a table to the host but before I even finished my sentence, the person behind the table told us to "wait" in the most rude tone. He clearly looked stressed or maybe something else was going on. He then walked away from us and someone else had to help us. Either way, we still had our meal there, but that's no way to treat a customer. This place is fine if you're already in the area, but it's not really worth traveling to. There's a big, open space out front for yard games (there was a sign saying they have some you can rent for free), so that's a big plus in my book, but the food was meh and there are loads of places you can go for a large craft beer selection. We went for happy hour and ordered a couple beers + the fish tacos and fish & chips. The bartender was very friendly and gave good service despite being the only server in the place at the time. The fish on the fish & chips was the exact same fish that came in the fish tacos, so the portion was underwhelming. I ordered the fish tacos without jalapenos and with the green sauce on the side, and they came out with a mountain of dry lettuce on top. I know I ordered the sauce on the side, but it just felt like a weird dish. The fried fish was good but overall the tacos would have been pretty meh even with the jalapenos and green salsa. Happy hour was supposed to be $2 off all the beers but one wasn't discounted when we got our check. We felt silly pointing it out to the bartender, who was getting busy, especially since we had already decided we probably wouldn't be coming back since it's a 20-minute drive for us and there are places closer to us that we like better. As expected, the Blue Palms was packed when I visited for dinner on a Friday night. There is both inside and outside patio seating. We opted for first available and got a table inside within minutes. The menu highlights their vast selection of beers and their signature sausages containing game meat. Difficult for me, because I remember Wild Boar (Pumbaa), Duck (Donald), Venison (Sven), etc. There are also other interesting options on the menu. We opted for two of their three vegan sausage sandwiches. The smoked apple sage (seasoned with apple / yukon gold potatoes rubbed sage). The sausage itself was dry, no taste of potatoes, while the toppings (spicy mustard, Serrano chillies and raw re onions) added a good punch. The other vegan sausage sandwich was the Mexican chipotle (seasoned with spicy chipotle / arbol peppers). This was well liked by my vegetarian friend. For sides, the hand cut onion rings (seemed beer battered), were a good choice, but oily. The French fries with truffle oil (and Parmesan cheese), was satisfying. Service was excellent. read more

12/31/24 dinner service - Sitting at the table for 30 min and not once have they come and checked on our food or offered to refill the waters.... This is so disheartening because I love coming here. This is one of our favorite local restaurants and to have such bad service is disappointing. I would understand if they were busy. I would understand if they didn't serve others waters or check on them, too, but I heard the servers ask if they could refill waters & checked on other tables if everything is okay. So now I wonder is it us? Is it because I am not white?? I really hope not because any other time I have been I have been treated with nothing but respect. In the past visits, it has been 5 stars service and food but tonight really upset me. I will post pictures of past food experiences to be fair on the food. Came with a group of about 18, spent over a grand, and paid on one check. There is no bar to stand around, so our group expanded to fill the entire patio. Food was solid. Our servers were great. I'm usually a whiskey or bourbon guy, so this was a nice and sweet treat. My wife enjoyed her fish sandwich which she had served on lettuce instead of bread for her gluten free preference. The fries she got were great, and the onion rings I got were relaly great. Battered more like fish and chips batter than the typical breading you get around those. If you love mussels and clams in a steamer sauce with toast points (one of my favorites)....Blue Palms is definitely the place to go. We have eaten at the restaurant before and it was great. This time, my son was going for a beer and I asked him to get me take out. The packaging to go was so well thought out to have the ultimate experience with the dish when you get it home. The clams and muscles were in one container, the beer streamer was in a separate soup container, and the lemon and toast points were in their own container. This made for the best possible way to heat up later, without everything being soggy. So delicious. The calms and musles were perfectly cooked, so tender and flavorful. The beer steamer sauce was very tasty and the toast points were toasted perfectly, had a grilled flavor to them and were incredible. I would say to the chef thanks for a delectable meal. My only other comment is something was a little salty; which was probably just a natural briny flavor because the musles and clams live in salt water. The Good: My friend really liked her Brew Burger. We shared the truffle fries which were decent. The Cosmic Crisp cider on tap was also quite delicious. The atmosphere felt inviting and the wait time to get seated was only about 5 minutes. The Bad: I ordered the Truffle Burger medium and the meat came out more medium well. It was still fairly tasty due to the other toppings but would have been a lot better if the meat was a little more rare. The Ugly: Our service was horrendous. It was actually better in the beginning when they were super busy, than towards the end when we were trying to leave. They were quick to serve waters, but then we didn't get checked on for a long time. We actually had to wave our server down for me to order my cider which yelp had a $2 discount on for checking in. Then after another long wait we finally got our burgers, but only our burgers. The server said our fries would be right out. My friend and I had both finished our burgers before the fries were served, and mind you I'm a very slow eater. Then we went back to waiting. No being asked if we wanted dessert or another drink. After about a half hour of waiting my friend stood up and went to ask for the bill, which they forgot to include the $2 yelp discount on, so we had to ask for that and wait longer.
