This place had the absolute worst service ever. We got seated and it took forever to even take our drink orders. Then the server had a really hard time comprehending our orders that were rolls straight off the menu, nothing special. Then my daughter asked for the kids bento box, which she's gotten there several times prior, and they instead gave her an adult meal. We asked the server and she said kids meals are no longer available. If that's true, why did she not tell us that when we placed the order? We then asked a manager who said they still do kids menus but the cost slightly went up. I only got one of the 2 rolls I ordered. Then she messed up my friends check. She was lucky they add a service fee for parties over 6. I'm a generous tipper usually but this server was terrible. The sushi there is good but nothing spectacular. It's not as good as Sushi Spot in Largo or Hot Tuna in Oldsmar. It wasn't worth what they charge. I will definitely not be back again. read more

By far one of the best Asian restaurants in this area. I have ordered delivery and eaten there in person and everytime the food has been delicious and presented beautifully. The atmosphere is casual but don't let that fool you because the food is amazing. We ate there last night and the chive dumplings were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle with a wonderful dipping sauce. The sushi was fresh and delicious and easily the best I've had in this area. Also tried the almond peanut chicken for the first time and it was amazing. Order a bunch of food for my boyfriend and I today on his birthday. Didn't realize they had changed their hours to close at 9:30 instead of 10:00(put my order in at exactly 9:30). The staff were very nice and happily made my order. The owner is a very nice lady and gave me a free bottle of sake and I thanked her as I said my boyfriend will really enjoy this for his birthday. This is the first sushi place i have visited since moving to Tampa Bay. Originally i wanted to review this place the same day but i was in food coma. I was inicially intrigued by the tofu generously offered in most dishes... but then i noticed, darn....too many choices ! The waitress was helpful (and patient!). We ordered the california roll, Tuna avocado roll, Tofu Roma Long song, and Chicken Garlic Black Pepper. Everything was so good ! We decided to try the Classic Sake for the first time.... i gotta admit that i couldn't taste the apple something something that the description says .... but hey, i finally tasted sake.... one less thing on my bucket list! This is a very friendly and customer service oriented restaurant. Our waitress was great. Food was quickly serviced. We had an Indian curry noodle dish and their curry is truly outstanding. My husband had the shrimp clay pot and that was very good too. The waitress told us they make everything from scratch, the curry, all fresh cut veggies, very authentic thai food. went there about 5 months ago and never wrote a review but i figured i should. do not go here, me and my boyfriend went in and we were the only people in there we ordered a couple different sushi fish rolls to share, while making it the workers kept watching us the entire time making us feel uncomfortable. when we got our food it didn't taste right. the fish tasted old and not fresh at all. we felt uncomfortable giving it back because they were watching us eat it, looking back they definitely knew they gave us expired rotten fish. needless to say the following day we both had awful food poisoning. i will never eat sushi again. read more

Yes the location is in a strip mall but the food is great. We sat at the sushi bar and chatted with the new chef. I told him to surprise me with what he likes and the roll he came up with didn't disappoint! He also was explaining to us that he had begun to take over the responsibility of ordering the wholesale fish for the restaurant and started using some of his connections for better quality products. He gave us some samples comparing the new product to the old and I could definitely tell the difference. Over all great experience and we will be back! read more

We have been to Blue Sake several times and always managed to get a table...they even have al fresco dining. This rating is only for the sushi as we did not try any of the Thai food (which seems to have better reviews). We ordered nigiri and four rolls of sushi and were very disappointed. The nigiri was not bad (quality of fish was good) but the rice in all of the sushi was so mushy and there was so much of it that it ruined the rolls. We even tried to eat the inside of the rolls and were still not impressed. If we do choose to come back, it would be to tr the Thai. If you are a sushi snob, this is not your place at all. I've been here a few times for sushi..and it was great. I ordered off the menu tonight for delivery...Lobster Indian Curry...I started to worry about the cost of the dish but it sounded really good...I called for delivery and he said that the delivery driver wasnt coming in until 5:15 and I should get my order about 5:30...no disappointments here...delivery was at 5:35...he was so polite..no delivery charge...and my dish...beyond amazing..and it's more than enough for two meals. The owners of this place used to own Thai Town, but branched off to start another restaurant. As someone who's been a loyal customer at Thai Town since 2004, I felt obliged to try Blue Sake when I came back into town. I've never made a better decision in my life. Blue Sake is an Asian fusion restaurant with lots of options - we had Pad Thai, Red Curry, Japanese Sukiyaki, Apple Duck, and I had a Chirashi bowl. A few months ago I read an article about Blue Sake so we decided to give it a try. It was incredible! Excellent food, clean attractive restaurant (it's easy to miss as it is kind of buried at the back of a U-shaped little strip mall). I think if I'd ordered it fresh in house I'd have enjoyed the fried bagel roll more. I also got a spicy tuna roll and it was super fresh!
