I've been coming here for over 13 years and usually my first stop after arriving in Seattle. Convenient location from my hotel and just across from another one of my favorite restaurants, Toulouse Petit. Pictured is their Taco Salad with carne asada which is my first time having this as I normally order tacos or their enchiladas. What I liked about this salad was that everything was fresh with purple cabbage which was crunchy as well as the tortilla chips. This salad does not come with the Spanish rice but I asked for it after realizing it did not come with it. This place has not changed from my initial visit and I even recognized the cashier who has been here for 25 years. $18.46 was the total with the soda not including my tip. read more

It's been some months since I was here but I thought I would go ahead and give my impressions. The location was convenient, close to my hotel, and just a couple of blocks from Climate Pledge Arena. On a cold, rainy day the warm, dry interior was a welcome respite. The menu offers the typical Mexican fare. I tried the Torta with steak. Generally, the sandwich was tasty. However, the slice of steak was tough to eat - I had trouble chewing through it because of the the thick sinew, so tough that I took the meat out of the sandwich and tried to chew through the sinew, finally just putting the meat aside and eating the rest of the sandwich, which was actually quite good. read more

We were shocked we were the only ones there since it was a stellar 5 Stars!! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating as well as delicious food and fantastic prices for this area of Seattle. The portions were huge (as shown in the picture) and I got the carnitas quesadilla plate with an absolutely tons of sides (practically as many items as you wanted and as much with no extra cost). Easily the best grab-and-go burrito in town! My go-to is the Tinga Chicken Burrito with everything + guac. The ingredients are always fresh and super crisp. Blue Water offers a huge variety of toppings, salsas, sauces and even several pepper varieties to choose from. Quick story about the staff: I came in for lunch about two weeks ago. Ordered a burrito, got to the register, then realized I had forgot my wallet at home (they don't have ApplePay). And the staff was so kind and understanding!!!!! They let me enjoy my burrito and asked I come back later that day to pay for my meal! I was shocked at their kindness and excellent service. I came back after work and paid for my lunch, with tip included of course. Seriously, thank you!! I was rushing over my lunch break and the folks at Blue Water saved my day. We came before a kraken game, they were supposed to check our vax cards but their staff was so disorganized they literally forgot??? But they checked my parents?? We ordered their taco salad, which isn't a taco salad at all. It's a handful of tortilla chips off to the side and a "taco salad" on the other side of the plate. Tasted like water. We came with my parents, and we were very clearly all together in one party. You order at the front like a chipotle and then seat yourself after the food is ready. They took my parents order and my boyfriend and I stood waiting for our order to be placed for like 5+ minutes until I almost had to yell "Can I order?!" They just straight up ignored us. Came here on a whim since most places nearby was a long wait. Guests will order their food like if you were at Chipotle/Subway. They have a huge menu up top, and their daily special on the chalk board. Pre-portioned and cut meats are in the fridge until ordered, and the staff makes it when you order it right in front of you. You then slide down to the cashier who will ring you up. If you are looking for a lemonade or horchata, they're already filled in a cup for you in a bed of ice. You must request for ice for your drink. I believe the concept is good, but it can get a bit chaotic. The food was okay. If you look at this like Mexican fast food, then it's not too shabby. They have a good variety of combo plates, large burritos, and a number of salsas to choose from. The dining area is not too large, although they do have an outside patio seating with outdoor heaters. Mind you, the patio is towards the back of the restaurant where you have to pass through the restrooms. You clean up yourself and bring your dishes to the bin. Prices aren't too bad for what you're getting. Don't forget, it's street or lot parking only. read more

I only order one thing from here: calamari tostada no onions and with black beans. And this one item has satisfy my taste bud so much that I seriously come here once or even twice a week. Solid margaritas as well. If you play nice with the employees, you can make that margarita even more solid. What I love about this place is that everything is so fresh. They make it per order and you can even get an avocado that they'll dice up in front of you! I've heard some people (in line) complain that the service here is bad and they don't wait on you. So here is a forewarning: this place is not a fancy five star dining establishment. It's a Mexican restaurant with fresh, authentic, and delicious food. The Queen Anne location of Blue Water Taco Grill offers in my opinion the tastiest steak burrito of any of the fast food burrito joints out there. In fact it is my favorite burrito as far as any Mexican restaurant that serves burritos. The steak is cooked fresh as soon as you order it as they have the raw meat already chopped and marinating. Every ingredient they put into the burrito from there from the pico de gallo, cheese, to the spicy salsa is succulent and you can taste every flavor of it when biting into the burrito. To get a 5 star from me takes a lot but I can't think of any other way to express my love for this place. Only thing I could say is that it prices on the higher end of QSR burrito joints as my burrito with a drink goes for around 12 bucks. Well worth it and still five stars. read more

I found this location when I moved to the neighborhood and it's become one of my "go to" locations for a quick lunch (takeout or more recently, sit in) on a work from home day. The people behind the counter are friendly and get to know you if you're a regular. After a while, they'll know and remember your regular faves and how you like them prepared. Tacos, quesadillas, and nachos are all very good and are my typical fare at lunch. Other things look good as well. The only downside is that it gets busy and they "single thread" orders so the waits can be a bit long at the busiest times. That's become more apparent as the number of people out and about has increased. read more
