For my birthday I paid $115 for a 6 inch, 5 layer salted caramel cookie crumble cake that included pastel colours marbled in the cake batter but I did not received what I ordered... It was soggy and didn't taste good. I emailed the company, and they offered me as "goodwill" credit for another cake. I asked for a refund instead of the credit so they just refunded me the credit amount. What are your guy's thoughts on getting a full refund when the product looked like this? They told me "We do not guarantee that every bite will have all the components." and "If you had concerns with the price, then you were more than welcome to go elsewhere to better fit your budget." My concerns with the price was its not equivalent to the product I received. I did not know the cake would end up being like this until the day when it was too late to get another cake elsewhere. I would not have minded paying that amount had the cake actually turned out. I would not ever get a custom cake or any cake from Bluebird Cakery. Even Dairy Queen's ice cream cake has a more evenly spread out cookie crumble. I highly suggest any other cake place over Bluebird Cakery! There's no guarantees, that every component of the cake will actually be in the cake...

I've had many of the baked goods from bluebird and never been disappointed! I've ordered 4 cakes and have always been happy with their product and even received many compliments from guests at my party. I love how their salted caramel looks so decadent but isn't overly sweet! Another favourite of mine is their banana cake with raspberry filling. Their cereal crunch is a must! I've had many of their cupcakes and cakes in a jar too! My only wish is that their baked goods were less calories so I could eat more lol!!

    Coconut and chocolate tiers. Yum!!

Salted caramel is a big favourite, strawberry cheesecsame with the banana cake - but my personal favourite is London Fog.

They were showing each other the flavors, and shapes, and designs. Sweet plus savory. Cutting them in half and sharing. It was the least we could do to bring these high quality goodies, made by high quality bakers, to these high quality nurses in the cardiac unit for my mother-in-law. We were so impressed with the staff at L'atelier. They know their stuff and their recommendations are top notch. The bakery itself is so cute and modern and fun. I loved that you could sit outside even in the rain because they have stellar permanent awnings.

Unfortunately, this one was a bit disappointing. The interior was overly moist, the caramelized crust lacked the crispness I was hoping for, and the honeycomb structure wasn't very well developed. Overall, it was just average. We also ordered the Strawberry Pistachio Tart. The strawberries were fresh with a nice balance of sweetness, and there was a good amount of pistachio chunks. However, it lacked the layers of flavor that make a tart memorable. On the bright side, the coffee was excellent and easily my favorite part of the visit. I'd happily come back for a coffee, but I'd probably try different pastries next time.

It was a huge hit with everyone! The 6 inch cake was $69 and I added a customized birthday message on chocolate for an extra $3 which was a nice personal touch. They also offer a gluten free option for an additional $10 which is great for accommodating different dietary needs. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to order online well in advance because their cakes sell out quickly. I can definitely see why. They're fantastic! I'll be ordering from Gary's Patisserie again for future celebrations.

Have seen Gary's fresh mango cakes all over IG and with my Dad's recent birthday I convinced my…read moresister to order one, instead of our usual mango cake from Saint Germaine bakery. Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.

As I love desserts, I was so excited to see Chinatown and visit this place for the first time. This place was located in an area that would be best to walk with a friend or a small group- I was not quite prepared to see and experience what was going on all around. Finally, we made it there and were glad to order some doughnuts. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the sweet smell of doughnuts and the two friendly staff. Everything looked so good, so narrowing down our pick was very hard! At the end, we ordered two flavours- Matcha and Tiramisu. The matcha doughnut was soft and the filling was light yet full of matcha flavour that one would expect, I loved every bite! My friend had the tiramisu doughnut and she said that she enjoyed the fluffy texture of the dough and the creamy filling- it felt like eating tiramisu in a doughnut form. If you love simple yet high quality ingredients, this place is the perfect place to get your sweet cravings fixed!

I could see some people balking at the $6 price, but I consider these a special treat. The location itself leaves something to be desired since it feels like it is under construction except for the pastry counter. No furniture and the floors look unfinished.
