Each year my husband's employer hosts a gathering here at the winery for their employees. We love coming to this winery. They always have a very nice assortment of foods for everyone to enjoy and you can also purchase some of the delicious foods shown in the pictures. The cookies and cake shown in the pics were made for the event for the employees! Bluemont has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. I'm not a true wine and beer connoisseur so I'm quite sure there are better reviews to read than mines. The seasonal wine flight is a great way to experience the different flavor wines and a good value price. The flight includes peach, pineapple, apple cinnamon, and fall spiced wine. Peach was my favorite out of the flavors. The pumpkin spice wine slushy has an interesting taste. It's not bad but just a different wine flavor. The food is good. I was at a catered event which included beer cheese dip, pretzel bites, different types of flat bread pizza, chicken tenders, and chicken wings. Everything was delicious. Scenic country views with inside and outside seat options. A kids playground area, corn hole area, and a board game space area located inside. We stopped on a day that an event was happening, some type of a RUK. It was extremely busy ..... so this might have attributed to my 4-Star Rating. The line to order beverages was long but moving very efficiently. The ambiance is very casual with plenty of indoor seating and TV's to enjoy sports. The outside is done very nicely either scattered seating and several fire pits for those chilly days and evenings and they do have very nice views of the changing leaves and such. The food was some what disappointing, I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich which the meat was lukewarm and not that much on the bun, the coleslaw just did not cut it, had a strange flavor, it got pitched, the chips were fine as was the pickle, My wife had the Brussel Sprouts which were very flavorful and good. They advertised these Wisconsin Cheese Curds, these were nothing special, must have been bagged frozen curds, deep fried and that's it. Very misleading advertisement! Bluemont Station opens earlier than most, if not all, opening at 10am on weekends, 5 stars!!! No outside food/drink allowed, because they have a full menu. It's an elegant house sort of vibe, not a barn/rustic vibe. My husband and I came here at around 10:30 on Saturday morning after our Raven Rocks hike. Another thing I love about this place is that they have indoor restrooms! I changed out of my hiking clothes, and then we devoured our meals (huevos rancheros and burger) and enjoyed our drinks outdoors on the lush green lawn. We may have catnapped under one of the mature trees that provided shade. Kids are welcome and they have several board games. The place is enormous and can fit hundreds easily indoors/outdoors. There's a private event space off the main room, which was in use when we were there. It looked like a great place for a baby shower! I love that they have so many food/drink options. Beer, wine, slushies, and sangria! I ordered a sangria flight since I couldn't just choose one flavor. I'm glad I did because the flavor I would've chosen if I'd ordered just one (passionfruit) didn't end up being my favorite. Friend and I were visiting the area for the weekend. This was a great casual, brunch spot! I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was juicy, tender and paired well with the waffles. The chicken potstickers were also really delicious and crispy. The biscuits were some of the best I've had--they were nice and golden brown on the outside and soft, fluffy on the inside. The butter that came with them was also surprisingly delicious! It was sweet and creamy. It is self service but everyone we encountered was super nice. The open fields were nice and relaxing. Wooow is what I have to say about this place . A friend of mine was proposing and wanted the group to meet here. They were running late so we made the best of our time and ate an drank. The beer and the mimosa flights are top notch. The food was ridiculous. I got a burger and man was it delicious. Also a friend got the pizza and it was phenomenal. The only thing I'd say was a problem was out side. Hidden in the bottom of the hill, Bluemont Station was a gorgeous location with a ton of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. There are a few outdoor fire pits but the rest of the outdoor seating can get quite cold once the sun sets. They have a large selection of drinks, beer, wine, seltzers, and ciders. I really enjoyed the seltzer flight, while they were a bit sweet I loved the variety of flavors like cherry mule or lavender thyme lemon. The beers all tasted great and went down easy. The worst part was the line- they should consider maybe two ordering lines or the QR code system for food ordering. Food wise, the nachos were great but we didn't try too much more. We had fifteen minutes to kill so we decided to stop by for a tasting. We ended up staying two hours! Blush pink cherry blossoms greeted us as soon as we pulled up to the parking lot. I felt like I was on a movie set while I sipped wine on their back patio that overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains while a man played the Beatles on his guitar nearby. There's twinkly lights, fire pits, live music, and plenty of adirondack chairs to snuggle up in. As I mentioned we stopped in for a tasting but after looking at their extensive food menu, we decided to stay for lunch. Our group of six ended up sharing their pulled pork nachos (it was absolutely stacked), pretzels, buffalo chicken dip, and their burgers. At places like this I feel like food is often an after thought but everything we had was really delicious and well presented. If you come on the weekends before one they even have brunch items like chicken and biscuits and huevos rancheros! We did a wine tasting and shared a bottle of the Reserve and had no complaints. We were also excited to see that they had several beers, alcoholic options, wine slushies, sangria, coffee, and sparking wine flights. There truly is something for everyone! Lastly, this place is extremely child friendly. I feel like every other person in the building was a baby or toddler and nobody batted an eye. Our friends have been telling us about how great this place is and we finally made it out yesterday to see what all the hype is about. The property is absolutely gorgeous, lots of lawn chairs and picnic tables to sit at, abundant shade, plenty of space for kids to run about, and there was live music when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. We were staying a short walk away from the brewery and took advantage of a break in the rain to escape for a bit to grab a beer and some food. We walked into a large and lively bar area that wasn't expected based on its fancy exterior. It was a bit too loud so we opted for the sunny outdoor area that had tons of seating options for our group of 8. We spread out and it seemed every one ordered something different giving us a ton of options. My favorite was surprisingly the Snickers Stout. It had a touch of sweetness and a smooth finish that was perfect for the crisp day. I also had a blood orange IPA that lacked blood orange flavor but was still a good IPA. The Cab Franc was an excellent red and at $32 a bottle made for a good share. We split a flat bread at the end of the day which was tasty and a good snack for two. Walked in through the side of the large house. Entered into a large beautiful main lobby with the bar to the right. My gosh, I never knew I liked stouts until I tried the Snicker Stout. It has a nice sweet almost latte tasting aroma to it. It was good. I'd get it again! The Bruschetta Trio was amazing. It had one with feta cheese, another with some guace and pico de gallo, but the last one was the best. Freshly toasted with cheese and some sweet bacon. Yes! Almost didn't want to share! We took a stroll around outside and exited the large plantation looking house. It had large open fields with several tables. Lots of families and plenty of open spaces for kid friendly enjoyment. About an hour's drive from Tyson's corner. It's in a beautiful location and when we drove up it was a busy Saturday afternoon. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have counter ordering. We drove there because we were craving a smash burger and the VA foodie's group on Facebook pointed us there. So we went up having a few pints and burgers. To be honest, they are not smash burgers. Their burgers are decent. Decent sized and priced right but they are not small burgers. The service was prompt and everyone was friendly. Our orders came out quickly and the burger was well seasoned. It's a double patty so it was a big burger in my opinion. We also had a Bavarian pretzel. It's big however it didn't appear to me made from scratch fyi. It was more like one you'd get at the ball park. If you want to sit with a large group of suggest timing it right. I did see that they had reserved some tables for special events as well. They had live music and on a nice day they also have outdoor seating. A not too far jaunt for a nice outing. Seriously, my mom in law came and I still had a great time! Wasn't sure what to expect as this place used to weddings at one time, but they have nailed the new brewery/winery concept. Indoors is spacious as well as their outdoor area. They had several fire pits, it is unclear if you have to reserve them or it is first come first serve. We loved that indoors who is dog friendly. For food my fiancé got the burger, he said it was just OK. I got the Ruben and I thought it was pretty good, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Also liked that the crowd was mostly little bit older, maybe 30+ vs places like Bear Chase that seem to attract a much younger crowd. One of the newer places in the area and not to be confused with Bluemont Winery which is up on top of the hill. Bluemont Station is tucked in back off the main road. It has a large beer hall with a lots of seating. There is also a small band area up front. The place can get very loud especially if there is a band playing plus a few bachelorette parties stopping by on their wine tour. You order at a counter in the center, where they can provide the drinks, and food is picked up from a table near the kitchen. There is a large selection of drinks available ranging from wine to beer to cider. For the food we choose their bratwurst special which was actually quite good and a a large portion- just wish it came with better chips rather than a bag. Its a decent place to stop if you want a winery/ brewery with more of a food selection. read more

First time visiting Bluemont Station. My wife and I were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary so we decided to give it a shot. The location is great. The food was amazing (we had the burgers) and the beer was top notch! Indoor seating in the A/C out of the heat was spacious and had a good vibe. Outdoor seating around firepits, at picnic tables, etc. was great as there are very large trees providing shade on most of the seating areas.
