Disappointed with this place. Ordered Friday evening dinner and when I got home both soups were empty and spilled all over my car seat and carpets. I called to let them know they weren't sealed properly and the response was "at least it wasn't hot". They called me back and told me they could refund us $10...which that doesn't really do anything for the inconvenience of the dirty car these $10 only covers the soups. Miso soup was pulled out in a big plastic tub. Zero (0) seaweed in either of our bowls. Tasted mediocre. The fish was all visible and it was all sweating pretty bad which means the temperature it's being held at is too hot - we'll probably get food poisoning and parasites now. I am absolutely mind blown how this place has high reviews. There is ONE table there and 6-8 seats at the bar. That's it. The single table at the front had a reserved plaque on it and an employee (or manager, who knows) sat there and played on her phone the entire time we were there. This place is AMAZING! I've been wanting to stop in since they opened, and I'm so glad I finally did. The sushi is so fresh and delicious. The decor is modern and clean. It's not over the top like I feel most sushi places are with their fancy decorations that are hoping to distract you from their lackluster sushi. You can tell that the owner, Harry, really cares about the quality of the food and the service to the customers. Best sushi place in tampa on my opinion! The quality is always top notch. The shrimp is the freshest tasting I've found from any sushi joint I've been to. Their presentation is great and rolls are rolled tight so they stick together well. Everyone is always super friendly and greet you right away. Their sushi is fairly price and worth every bit. Ginger and wasabi is something you have to add but it is free but it's nice so they don't waste it. They include one pair of chopsticks per two rolls, reduced sodium soy sauce, napkins, and even soufflé cups for the soy sauce for to go orders without you ever having to ask. I have gotten sushi many times and they are consistently good and I have not gotten sick. The place is very nice and clean when you go in to get sushi. BluWave is my go to sushi joint.
