    Oeuf Cocotte, eggs and bacon

Very cute and tiny French brunch restaurant. The server was lovely and very nice. I loved the ambiance and vibe. However, it was pricey for what it was. I ordered a latte and kinda got a cappuccino with bad foam instead which was fine but the espresso didnt taste great either. I got the egg cocotte and it was tasty, but the flavor got monotonous quickly. My fiancé ordered a couple of over easy eggs but got scrambled eggs instead. We were too hungry to ask them to re-do it so we just politely ate it. Id come back if I lived in this area, but as a visitor, I can't recommend this place to a friend.

Absolutely delicious! Not too sweet but definitely Sharable! Waitress was awesome chef also came out and checked on us. And it was a gorgeous day to sit outside!

Literally the best waffles I have ever had!!! Can't even put into words how decadent they were. Gently Crisp exterior with sweet delicious fluffy inside. They were so magnificent you could annoy without any syrup and they'd still be amazing. These came with fresh berries and I ordered a side of bacon which was basic as expected. The sausage egg and cheese on brioche was outstanding. Hand crafted sausage patty that was as thick as a giant burger. It was so tasty and rich. The portion was generous and let's not forget the house made potatoes. So yummy!!!!!! This restaurant was a great find. Shady siding outside, nice Neighbrohood, outstanding service with friendly waiter. I asked if they had chocolate milk. Thursday did not but he insisted on making it from scratch. What a pain it must have been but he was determined to give me my first choice of beverage. It was delicious. Lots of people dining at tables near us were locals unlike us. The singer form the jazz club we went to last night was there with his partner. Such a friendly vibe all around. Would highly recommend

Loved our experience here! The inside is small and the tables are all two tops as it's a cafe. The staff was so accommodating with us as a group of 6 letting us put tables together & helped us get situated. They were so friendly and our waitress and the chef remembered us each time we came in during our trip. From breakfast to lunch everyone left more than satisfied! The coffee was great. Our top favorites were the croque monsieur, Maine lobster omelette, & French toast. Don't miss the daily specials & soups too!

I stumbled into this cute locally owned cafe when staying in the area and wow was I impressed. From the politeness of the staff, the tasty coffee and food but also the owner herself was present. If you are in the area stop in for a fantastic cup of coffee and a meal. I purchased the Chèvre Frittata which does take about 20 minutes to cook but it was well worth the wait!! I will absolutely be back!

I liked my Croque Madame My expectations for my first visit to Blvd Café were high. While those were not quite reached, I can say my Croque Madame was really good, the cheese abundant and flavorful, the egg on top made it an attractive breakfast. The one thin slice of ham was fine, I have vacationed in France and that is how I remember it done. That it took over 25 minutes from the time I ordered it until I got it was too long. Keeping with the food, it comes with French fries but we were able to substitute with their potatoes. My wife was looking for a healthier side and that wasn't it, just deep fried potato in a different shape. She did ask about a small salad, which she could have gotten but would have come with a $4 upcharge. In Europe having a little salad on the same plate is quite common, so this varied from that. Prices were already a bit high at around $17. I say around because they assess a 4% fee if you use a credit card, so the bill has both a cash and a credit total. Anyway, that encourages people to pay cash, as we did. I liked the French music playing in the background. Blvd Café is a small place, small tables inside either separate or combined to seat more people. They also have a few tables outside where I watched happy diners and dogs interacting.

Ample and wonderful parking nearby and no charge in Sarasota. (smile) The building and restaurant are crispy new and the inside is operating room quality clean and sanitary. Very well equipped. Various good quality coffees including decaf with Oat Milk and Dairy creams and milks. Endless water that was cold and refreshing. This was a great first visit and we enjoyed the magnificent service, seating and the other diners seemed to be regulars and very happy. A few mis-steps that can easily be addressed but a good experience here for sure. We (wife & I) went with the special Eggs Benedict w/ham and Eggs Benedict Florentine w/ home-style potatoes and 'split" them one each. Our eggs were yoke firm 50% overcooked. The ham was okay, more like a thin sliced lunch-meat - a few thicker sliced Canadian bacon slices would have been heartier and more flavorful? The Hollandaise sauce was fairly bland and flavorless. Maybe the most obvious dislike was the 'English muffin' was very dense and tough. Possibly thawed and it was difficult to cut even with a knife and chewy. Slight toasted might have made this better. Not horrible, just not great or exceptional. My daughter went for the Apple smoked bacon cheddar cheese on a brioche bun/roll with home-style potatoes. She enjoyed it and gave it good marks. Eggs cooked properly and potatoes cooked well and with a slight crisp - perfect. The roll was over toasted (a trace burned) on the top, but ok. To summarize, great place/facility, fantastic service and staff, the ambiance and fellow diners were cheery and happy, and the food was good and does warrant a return trip in the future. (OR your first visit!!! (smile))

By far one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Who knew that scrambled eggs and cheese could be that incredible. My son and I ordered the same thing, scrambled cheese with eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage patties and we shared the French toast. Those eggs were so moist and tasty. I am still wondering how eggs can be that good. I had a few bites and said to my husband, these eggs are so good. My son was in total agreement. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I don't eat pork sausage so I passed those off to my husband. The French toast...oh man! It is so thick but so fluffy. The cinnamon flavor is powerful which I really enjoyed. And the fresh fruit on the top is a perfect compliment to it all. We got up the next day and both my son and I wanted so badly to go back for round two of breakfast but couldn't make it work in our schedule. This is a definite must go to restaurant. FANTASTIC!

The sandwiches I've had were all lovely, and had a little side salad that could benefit from a better dressing (they serve an okay vinaigrette though).
