Went with BC drink of choice, The Cubano. Two shots of espresso with a heavy cream. Under 5 bucks gets this drink in your hand in a tiny cup. (half filled) Tasty, with a good texture. I might have been better off with a house coffee. The space appears to be shared with some type of bakery. Wish I had more info on what else goes on there. Self serve ice water towards the back. Stopped here for an early morning coffee before work. Asked for the fastest drink they could make. Stood there for 12 minutes and had 3 people behind me get their coffee first. This is a second lovely location of Blvd Coffee. We enjoy the Los Gatos location, but were highly impressed with this new location. This will be a new favorite. To start out, the layout is fantastic and the decor is very inviting. You can eat a healthy breakfast and get your favorite fancy latte or cup of Joe, all in one shot. The service was terrific and I ordered a gluten free veggie crepe. It was huge and honestly the best crepe I've ever eaten in my whole life! I highly recommend the gluten free veggie crepe with eggs! If you're into crepes ,or breakfast food THIS IS THE PLACE to be at on Sunday mornings. A friend introduced me to BLVD a while back and I just fell in love with this place. I've tried several different items on their menu ,but I love their crepes. There has never been one time that a crepe is not ordered since I've first discovered the place. Portion size is extremely generous (2 people can share a crepe with 1 breakfast order each and guaranteed to be full till dinner time), pricing is super affordable and staff is always happy and helpful. Food wise , scramblz is probably still better ,but for the service , price point of their menu they win hands down. read more

Paid over $40 for two coffee drinks and two food items. With a place this expensive you would expect quality service and a correct order, but that is not what I received. All of my items were incorrect! And on top of that, the service was rude and snarky. The person making the food was so slow, she was working with ZERO haste and had a huge pile of orders. When I realized my coffee drink was getting cold I went up to see what was going on with my food order. I noticed that it was finished, but sitting on the back counter getting cold because the cook had not informed anyone that the order was ready. Not only that, but it was prepared for in house dining instead of to-go as I requested. I asked the cashier what was going on with my order and he said "you can see that she is working a lot of orders and will get to you shortly." That's when I pointed out that my order was sitting on the back counter, plated, and needed to be bagged to-go. He bagged my order and gave it to me. He then said to the person behind me, while looking at me: "thanks for actually being patient." This was clearly a teenage, snarky shot at me for requesting my order be bagged. As if I was not being patient as I watched my food get cold on the counter until I finally had enough. It should be noted that if it were not for this final "twisting of the knife" I would have left without another thought. After that final comment, rubbing it in to get back at me, I am HIGHLY MOTIVATED to communicate what happened, to as many people as possible. read more

Similar to Jenn P's review, I came here on a sunday afternoon with my family and we ordered cream cheese on a jalapeno bagel. It took us 40 minutes to get our bagels and I would see customers who came after us get their food before us. We had simple cream cheese bagel and because it took so long we were forced to stay in orders waiting for our order for an extended period of time. I just didn't feel safe with this many people waiting for their orders in a small space like this. After 30 minutes, the staff told us that they were out of jalapeno bagels (because they made all the other orders first) then they proceeded to say sourdough with cream cheese would be better (bec thats all they had left), at that point I was so frustrated I just wanted to get out of there so I agreed. When I came back home, it was the saddest meal I have had all year. I would not recommend coming here again due to the quality, wait time, and overall unsafe environment during covid. read more

This place has a solid amount of breakfast selections, which ranges from bagels and sandwiches to crepes. I ordered their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and it was delicious. If they have the ingredients, ordering stuff off the menu is relatively easy. Their coffee is rich in flavor and definitely satisfied my craving. I have come to this coffee place to meet a friend who lives in the area many times. It's been a chill hangout with an excellent menu including the Cop Car (b&w mocha), Cinnamom Twist (cafe au lait with cinnamon) and the low carb turkey wrap that seemed to be off menu that I enjoyed last time I was there. There's ample seating, good outlet placement and clean bathrooms. All wonderful. This could be a 5 atar review, but today I came here for a quiet afternoon of work today and found it absolutely impossible to concentrate. The female employee with brown hair in a braid was extremely shrill and seemed incapable of talking in an indoor voice. I tried to drown it out, but the wifi was terrible so the music through my headset was distractingly choppy. I can hear her from outside while I'm writing this review in the car. I go to cafes like Blvd Coffee for study/work time or quiet conversation with friends. The level of disruptive noise coming from this employee's idle conversation really needs to be dealt with. It's fine to speak that loud with a full house but with 4-5 customers quietly reading or sitting, employee chatter needs to tone down. Now I go find another place to work in this near 100 degree weather! read more

I've been in a bit of slump for a good cafe to work at when Cafe Legato closed (replaced by My Che on Snell). I thought I'd never find another to fill in that empty void until Blvd Cafe came to Almaden! Location/Service: Honestly, this place is a bit off for most people. It just so happens that this place is very close to me so it's convenient. The plaza is a bit empty, so parking is plentiful. People here were Food/drinks: Fresh and yummy! I try not to get too much sugar in my drinks these days, so I just ordered the cold brew. I wish they served drinks with almond milk though. I can't say much about the food as I haven't tried it yet, but the breakfast pastries were VERY tempting. I managed to escape them the last few times, but my willpower has been faltering.. Service: The baristas/cashiers here are really nice and don't try to rush you. It's obvious that they've accumulated a set of loyal local customers; it was a bit early in the afternoon (around 1ish on a weekday) and there were still some people. The ladies in front of me were trying to catch up with the barista and he was very friendly but professional (he noticed I was in line and made sure that small talk didn't take long). The barista gave me a lot of good recommendations for what I wanted. :) Place: Plenty of comfy chairs and tables all around. Wifi is pretty fast as well (just ask for it while you're ordering). I think I saw a father and son play a board game too. They play classical music in the background to help people work/study. Walking into Blvd Coffee I noticed the cleanliness of the coffee shop right away. I appreciate walking into a clean location because it gives me a comfort knowing that the kitchen or bar is just as clean. As soon as i stepped through the doors I was greeted with a smile by the cashier/barista. I have worked in customer service almost my whole life and I've always strived to give the best service I can, therefore I love when I encounter a good customer service experience even if it's as simple as a greeting and a smile. Now, Let's talk location, atmosphere and decor. The location of this particular coffee shop is great. Blvd Coffee is located in a shop plaza which is always a plus because shop plaza=an abundance of parking spots. I will admit that once I pulled up to the location I noticed the two empty parking spots right in front of the coffee shop. I wanted to so badly park there but you see, I'm on this Fitbit hype and I'm working on making better choices so of course I needed to get my step count in for the day; long story short I ended up parking further from the shop. Yay me! Back to the shop review... I walked into Blvd coffee around 9:00am and it was not loud nor busy. They had a few customers coming in but no long lines or full tables. Per my observation I could tell that the customers they usually get around here are locals. This is a great place to get work done or work on that big essay you've been procrastinating about. There are two words that describe the decor at this location, comfortability and Simple. Around the shop you will find the usual coffee shop trend of wooden tables and aluminum chairs with a break of Love seats and couches. My favorite part of a coffee shop, besides the coffee, has always been the comfortable seats, which they have. Have I mentioned the drink selection? Below you'll find the drinks and food that they have available on the menu. Before coming in I yelped this place, of course, and noticed the first comment someone left was that they loved Blvd Coffee's "Mexican Mocha" so you KNOW I had to try it. It's a hot espresso drink with the option of having one or two shots of espresso, milk, and Mexican Hot chocolate. The taste is exactly what the name describes! It was a new delicious taste that my taste buds hand't yet discovered. Lets say everything in me was enjoying the warm mixed flavors of espresso and Mexican hot chocolate. The best way to describe the experience was, I felt as though I was swinging from a hammock in Mexico while drinking abuelitas hot chocolate when suddenly I fell off the hammock and realized I was in Italy all along enjoying their famous espresso with a twist of my motherland. Over all Blvd Coffee was a great shop I enjoyed spending my morning in. It is now 10:11am and the shop is still a place I would come to and get some work done. Come check it out and taste their Mexican Mocha! If you love things on the sweeter side just add 1/2 a pack of spenda to the Mocha and it suddenly will become your fav! I used to hit this place up all the time when it was under another owner Jesse, she sold it to some people and it went under, now it's reopened. The inside is nice now, but it lost it's relaxing touch and feel. Some feedback, train the people behind the counter better, and tell them it's ok to chat between them, but when they start talking like it school and not a place of business we have an issue Houston, Customer come 1st and more focus.. 4 people working behind the counter WOW... Next I order a drink Large Americano Decaf with 2" of Half and Half, The drink gets places on the counter and I didn't here my name get called out and they didn't bring it over, i wasn't sure what was going on, what I could tell was they didn't put enough half and half, just looking at the color of the coffee and it was black not creamy looking. When I asked do you have more then one bean choice, they said no, so I asked what beans are you using... the reply espresso... ( I could guess that ) educate them on beans, and background, where did these beans come from, where did they get roasted... Take them to Phiz and show them the MENU... This is a coffee shop, they should be on this, I expect answers like this from places that focus on food, not coffee... Great place to meet up with friends for a chat and light lunch if you are not in the mood for the long lines at your local Starbucks. Staff were efficient and friendly. Coffee was strong and good! Met up with a group of friends and we all ordered something different. I ordered a crepe that I enjoyed! One of my friends ordered a sandwich which seemed kind of small for the price! Visited this cafe for a quick breakfast and was not disappointed! My sister got the Nutella crepe and the Cop Car, which is espresso with dark and white chocolate. Both were yummy, but the Cop Car is reaaaaally sweet. I got the special bagel (everything bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, avocado, and lemon drizzle) which was SUPER good. One of my new favorite bagel sandwiches! I also got the Cinnamon Twist, which was essentially a vanilla latte with cinnamon. I liked the flavor, but all the cinnamon collected in a clump at the bottom. The cafe seems small but opens up once inside, with plenty of tables, seating, and couches. It's super cute. Their coffee is decent, and I'd prefer to come here over a corporate chain but unfortunately the service is subpar. I ordered and açaí bowl with no fruit on top (just wanted the granola and honey) and they proceeded to bring me a bowl with nothing on top....I remind the associate that I just said no fruit but still would want the rest...he brings it with maybe 2 small scoops of granola only on half the bowl tops still without the honey...why would you serve something so sad looking like that? I would always look forward to my lunch break and go to this location for a crepe and coffee. Lately, I wait longer to get my food items. I still go because I love the crepes and coffee. Today, was worse than previous days and I waited for 22 minutes for a crepe they completely forgot to make for me. I know I'm the few customers of color compared to most of the customers I see come in and out from this place. My first visit to this cute coffee shop in almaden neighborhood I had to try their self proclaimed " specialty coffee" their Cuban coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and while I enjoyed the presentation in a small cup..the taste was a bit bitter for me and lacked the good flavor you might find at a coffee shop that roasts their own beans I did like their scones alot.we tried 2 Though one we had was too dry I like a place that makes their own pastys..a nice menu and super friendly staff..if I could give a solid 3.5stars on here I would! read more

Blvd has the opportunity for so much greatness yet the take the most obvious short cuts to make it just another mediocre overpriced coffee shop. Today I went in for a piece of toast with avocado FOR ONE TOAST IT WAS ALMOST$8? All they do is put bread, butter and avocado and you want to charge me $8? It's a joke. The coffee is usually sub par and always on the bad side.
