Came for a friend's birthday dinner while in town visiting. We had a reservation and were sat immediately upon arrival. Our waiter went over the menu and drink options and was pretty kind. We started with the oysters which were very fresh and amazing; I had the scallop dish that's served with glazed carrots and I thoroughly enjoyed the dish. I also had their cucumber mocktail which was super refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is rather classy and upscale, very dark but plenty of photo opp moments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend

Sat at the enclosed patio bar for drinks and dessert. Bartenders were friendly and attentive - even willing to change the tv channel. The key lime tart was delicious, I highly recommend it. Loved my cocktail, too.

Second time at BLVD! And I left impressed! First, [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is gorgeous. Very moody and sexy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is amazing from the hosts to the servers and everyone in between. My very first visit we had a formal dinner for a friend's birthday. This visit me and a girl friend sat at the upstairs bar and just chatted. For this visit we kept it light. I ordered a sidecar with Hennessy, the BLVD burger and an order of fries. My go to was closed and rumor had it the burger here was good. And GOOD it was. The two bartenders upstairs were amazing! Warm, kind, very knowledgeable about the menu. They were also fun to talk to. Back to the food. Burger was moist and the garlic aioli and b sauce paired very well with it. Fries were fresh cut and tasty. If I add bacon to the burger I'll prob be back monthly. Hehehe I'll def be back for a third visit!

I'm truly disappointed! Had high hopes for this spot but they let me down! Made reservations for my lady's birthday for a Tuesday evening. The star I gave was for the valet. We arrived on time and were seated immediately which is always a plus. Ordered a few drinks while we looked over the menu. I had the anjeo smash and she had the lavender lemon drop. Drinks were good just a bit sweet. Waitress came by and gave us a run down of the menu but then told us we had to put ALL our food choices in at once (starters, mains, sides, etc) at once and would not be allowed to order more after that!! I've never heard of such things in my life! So I can continue to order drinks all night but if I want to maybe enjoy another appetizer or side I can't order again after I submit my initial order! WILD! Nevertheless we continued on. Lobster bites, bone marrow, crab cake were our starters. The bone Marrow was delicious! For our main we went with the 16oz waygu ribeye which wasn't tender as it should've been and lacked flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But what really disappear was the ambience! The seats were torn and damaged from over use and the carpet throughout the entire place especially the staircase was FILTY![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] BLVD IS OFF MY LIST FOR GOOD! Especially for the price of their items with these conditions!

Tried the New Year's Eve three-course menu here and overall it was a pretty mid experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is beautiful, especially the first-floor interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we arrived to check in for our prepaid reservation, they had overbooked and we ended up waiting about 50 minutes to be seated, which was frustrating. While they offered us a refund, its new years and not like we can just walk into another restaurant. It just felt poorly planned and overcrowded. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was also condensation dripping onto our table throughout dinner, which was kinda gross.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was fine and as accommodating as he could be given the situation, but the food didn't really make up for the experience. The mashed potatoes were the standout, but the salmon was overly salty. Overall, the experience fell flat and didn't feel worth the $95 price tag.

Visited for a friends birthday dinner. Food & drinks were pretty good. I had salmon & creamed spinach. I also had the lavendar lemon drop which was pretty good. Our server Rob was amazing. He gave recommendations & everything that he rec'd was good especially the cocktail. They have us a champagne toast to celebrate the lady fo the hr & a pretty good chocolate cake slice. I am not a chocolate cake person but this was surprisingly good! Just a heads up, they have a photography rule on their site that was not disclosed when we made our reservation. We specifically chose this place for the aesthetic & to take some pictures during the evening. Had we know about this ahead of time we would not have picked this place. I understand how it could be disruptive if it is excessive however as a paying guest we should be allowed a moment for photos, within reason. So just make sure you read that before going.

Had a double date with my parents and my husband here at BLVD Steakhouse. We had a 5:30 appt and got there on time. It was raining and the person at the desk offered to take our coats and umbrella. It was a bit chilly (to me) so I decided to keep my leather coat on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was beautiful of course with the chandelier and the winding steps. The ambiance was grown n sexy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was very charismatic and gave us anything our table needed. We ordered the Chicken, Ribeye steak, NY strip steak, and Salmon for the entrees. We had a side of milk rolls, mushrooms, mash potatoes, and asparagus. The whole table was able to share. Our food and drinks were good. I'll highlight a few items. We started off with the milk rolls. They were soft and dense. We paired them with the butter and the caramelized onion jelly and it turned out to be really good together. I recommend only trying one so you won't get full so fast. The salmon was delicious. Im a fan of crunchy skin so I was loving it! My mom and my husband enjoyed their steaks and thought that they were cooked perfectly. I also thought the mash potatoes were good and creamy. I was wondering what my experience here would be like since I read mixed reviews. Safe to say I had a great experience. I would recommend visiting here for a date or to celebrate an occasion.

I have been to the Blvd Steakhouse every year for the last 3 years for my anniversary. They never disappoint. My steak is always made exactly the way I like it and the lobster is amazing. The service is impeccable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I usually sit in the chandelier room it's so elegance with nice music in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outside seating also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend!

Let's start with the super positives! Service was incredible truly! A very tall curly haired man assisted us tonight and he was very kind and attentive! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere of the restaurant is very elegant and upscale! Super luxurious!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You have to request to sit downstairs which I'm sure is a different vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upstairs around the chandelier it's a lot of waiters running cleared plates the whole night, which you'd think was kind of hidden for a luxury spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Next the food was okay at best, and no where near the quality you'd expect for the price range! I couldn't recommend this place to anyone in good conscience with the price tag! I recently also tried Bavettes, spent half the amount of money and had leftovers! [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want somewhere that's just flash and quintessential west loop this is your spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here for a friend's birthday. The decor in here is gorgeous and a perfect setting for a special birthday celebration. It was a big group of us and our waiter did a good job of attending to us. I only got a burger but it was very delicious and so were the fries! I would come back on a date to try their steak out that I'm sure is good.

Came here for brunch and had a great time! Our waiter was incredible! The hostess had the shakes that morning and broke a glass and brought us complimentary champagne which was nice! It is really pretty the only thing is that the train is right above so it is very loud. I got a Bloody Mary to start which was amazing. The Caesar salad here is one of my favorites. The croutons are crushed up, it was refreshing! For my main I got the prosciutto omelet. I loved this! Very filling too

Highly disappointed in this experience. From beginning to end it was interesting. If you have a late reservation prepared to be rushed. Our reservation was for 9:15 pm on a Saturday evening 2 people. We pulled up in car service two gentlemen were standing outside I am guessing they were valet, they did not budge to assist with arrival lol. My friend had a boot on her foot you would think they would have some courtesy and open the door, nothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I open the door to the restaurant it smells like a pound of weed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that moment we should have left, it was late and we needed to eat so we stayed and gave the place the benefit of the doubt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in the upstairs dining room, after requesting the main floor especially because my company was injured and it was very apparent!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why would you seat us upstairs and she has a boot on her foot!!!??? We ended up taking their work elevator to get upstairs. Our waitress was definitely rushing us to order. I ordered a ginger ale twice, the second time the waitress stated we do not do refills.... ummm ok I still want it. Then she proceeds to ask is there something wrong with my stomach because I am ordering ginger ale. Just give me the ginger ale! Our waitress also asked if there were any allergies at the table, I stated yes avocado she says oh this is not a Mexican or Spanish restaurant so we won't have that problem. Again ummmmmm Ok! Totally unnecessary to say! After being asked every 2/3 mins if we were ready to order we ordered oysters to start which were not fresh! A filet mignon , branzino, mac and cheese, and asparagus. We did not eat the mac and cheese and the waitress left it on the bill. All the food was very blah and cold. Listen to this they charge for their in house steak sauce that is just a1 watered down, it was not good at all! We ordered a drink they were decent. I was so over it in that place! It was my birthday at that. They had the ice cream and fudge come out for my birthday with a candle and a card, real cute but no. Idk what kind of fudge was on that ice cream but it would not separate from the ice cream lol. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The audacity to have staff patrolling around to tell people when and where they can take pictures lol, this place smells like weed, people have on sweatsuits and ski masks, give me a break![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They should consider a dress code because I definitely felt out of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I dine pretty well and often and this experience was just tacky! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I need people to really review these places and be honest , and the only thing this place has going is the aesthetics.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know good service and food! I hope they make some changes and do well.

While we were looking forward to our reservation at BLVD, we were woefully disappointed by the experience! we went there to celebrate both a birthday and recent engagement. Both were arguably botched. First and foremost, when we requested a booth, the hostess was very nonchalant about it. A very "if you get one, you get one," attitude. The manager did try to remedy the situation, which I did appreciate. However, the issues didn't stop there. We attended the restaurant during Restaurant Week. We were absolutely flabbergasted with what we saw. Let me first of all say our waitress Kayla was very nice! We appreciated her attitude and energy! It was very accommodating and was a stark contrast to the hostesses. That said, how does a steakhouse upcharge for steak during Restaurant Week? The steak tartar left alot to be desired and our steak was so charred it was as if I was eating a rubber tire. Most importantly, we weren't given anything for our birthday and recent engagement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Regarding the environment and ambiance, it's a ornately-designed space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, given the lack of occasional accommodations and food left FAR MORE to be desired. Someone astoundingly shocking considering the place is up for a James Beard Award!! All this to say until BLVD Steakhouse makes some serious changes, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Do this restaurant accept walk ins?

I'm unsure. I scheduled ahead of time. They do get busy quickly. A reservation is your best bet!

Do they have a custom birthday menu? Is it a good place for romantic birthday dinner?

I went for a birthday and I recall it reading "happy birthday" at the top but no name. And YES!!!!! Verrrry romantic. I'd say more on the romantic side than for any groups!!! Sexy and intimate for sure! Enjoy!

I have a foodie 13 year old. Appropriate to bring her?

Sure! Your 13yo foodie may find something she likes and be happy to try it out. We thought that the restaurant was winning more on the "look and feel" than food/taste. Just our opinion.

What's the average cost per person?

Depends on drinks and entrees. You can get a good steak for $30 but if you're eating the Seafood Tower ($150) it's gonna be higher. Lets play it safe and say $100 per person. That's a nice evening out with meal and two drinks.

We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

We chose to dine at Girl & the Goat in Chicago, a restaurant we had never visited before. The acclaimed restaurant by renowned chef Stephanie Izard truly lived up to its stellar reputation! One of the first things we appreciated was the convenience of the restaurant's valet parking, located right by the front patio. At $22 for up to four hours and $26 for four to eight hours, the rates were quite reasonable for the area. As soon as the three of us stepped inside Girl & the Goat, we were warmly greeted by one of the two friendly hostesses, and were promptly led a comfortable four-top table with a banquette and two chairs along the wall. We felt fortunate to have one of the better tables in the dining room, as some of the others were positioned very close together. The nearby two-top tables, in particular, were quite small and placed only a short distance from ours. The restaurant's rustic-industrial décor is dark but trendy and stylish, the lively and vibrant vibe was warm and welcoming. However, I have to mention that it was really loud in the dining room, as guests seemed to be enjoying themselves and talked loudly.  It was hard to hear our server and the staff who delivered and explained the dishes to us.  Our server, Yazmin, was extremely friendly and attentive.  It was very sweet of her to wish us a happy anniversary both in the beginning  and at the end of the meal.  She also checked in on us several times during the evening.  Now, on to the food and drinks. I started with a glass of the NA Sparkling Rosé ($17), which was light, crisp, and quite refreshing. My husband ordered a glass of Le Colture Prosecco ($18), while our daughter chose the Sun Kid ($18). She enjoyed her drink, although she felt the portion was a bit small, as the glass was filled with a lot of ice that took up much of the space. Since the restaurant offers small to medium plates which are shareable, Yazmin advised us to get 5 to 6 dishes for 3 people to share.  We decided to get 5 savory dishes and 3 desserts to share: Savory dishes: Chickpea Fritters ($20), goat yogurt, green chutney, sev spice crunch, pickled rhubarb. Pan Roasted Halibut ($37), miso-Marcona almond butter, spring onion blueberry nuoc cham. Roasted Pig Face ($28), sunny side egg, tamarind, cilantro, red wine-maple, potato stix. Goat Empanadas ($24), smoked tomato-corn salsa, roasted poblano crema queso fresco. Confit Goat Belly ($38), strawberry goat braise, smoked yogurt drizzle, pickled strawberries. Desserts: Vacation, Please! ($16), toasted coconut crunch, lemon passion fruit sorbet, rum-soaked pineapple cake. Berry Yummy Par-tea ($16), earl grey soaked sponge cake, yuzu curd, spiced blackberries. Chocolate Basil Brownie Bash ($16), olive oil semifreddo, chocolate fennel crunch, basil granita. The meal was just phenomenal!  All the savory dishes were cooked perfectly with bold flavors; the meats were tender and full of flavors.  There were dishes that we normally would not have ordered if we saw them on menus of other restaurants.  Here, we tried them and were delighted that we did!  Our consensus is that Roasted Pig Face is our most favorite! It is everything we love in a comfort dish -- crispy on the outside, meltingly tender inside, and packed with rich, balanced flavor.  We will definitely order this again!  The Confit Goat Belly is a close second, with buttery, fall-apart meat and just the right balance of richness, acidity, and crunch. For dessert, "Vacation, Please!" is the one that we will always come back for. The toasted coconut crunch adds texture, the lemon passion fruit sorbet brings a refreshing tang, and the rum-soaked pineapple cake ties it all together with just the right amount of sweetness.  The other two desserts that we ordered were also very good.  The staff even brought out a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream on the house, with two lit candles to celebrate our anniversary - a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more memorable.  This dessert spread was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. I'd like to mention that the restaurant added a 4% surcharge to the bill, which the customer may request to have the surcharge remove if you choose.  We let them keep it. We spent about two hours at the restaurant.  The savory dishes came out very quickly, the pace probably was even a tad too fast, but the desserts made up for it by taking a longer time.  We did not mind as we were still full, and had time to enjoy the ambiance more.  I would say it is a restaurant great for group gathering and celebratory functions, but not so much for intimate romantic date night.  All in all, it was a wonderful dinner, we look forward to returning again.

The wood-fired chicken tenders were a standout--perfectly crispy on the outside while staying incredibly juicy and tender inside. Such a simple concept executed extremely well. The shareable shrimp salad with avocado, quinoa crunch, pickled vegetables, and a limey-herby dressing was refreshing, bright, and full of texture. Every bite had a great balance of freshness, acidity, and crunch. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with bold flavors, great textures, and an energetic atmosphere. Girl & the Goat is definitely worth a visit, and I highly recommend it!

Our server, Miguel, was phenomenal. She was attentive, fast, and gave us some spot-on recommendations. Per her advice, we ordered the deviled eggs with jalapeño, hands down the highlight of the table. The deviled eggs with paired with that subtle jalapeño kick was absolutely perfect. For the mains, the chicken and waffles were good, carrying that solid comfort food flavor you expect. The waffles were a bit soft for my taste. To drink, the sidecar was mixed perfectly, well-balanced, crisp, and hit the exact right note. Giving it 4 stars only because while the mains were good, the starters and the outstanding service from Miguel were what truly stole the show. I'll definitely be back to hang out at the bar again nest time I am in town!

Very first time visiting Yardbird's while visiting Chicago since it was on our to- try list. We…read moredidn't have a reservation but were able to be sat immediately. We were greeted by the host in which I believe to be the manager. He was pleasant and welcome. The restaurant itself is aesthetically appealing and it gives an upscale vibe. We sat and didn't have to wait too long for the waitress. She was nice and assisted up accordingly! I ordered the bottle of champagne for mimosas with pineapple and orange juice and was pleasantly surprised by the $35 price since we're used to paying twice that back home. The food came out pretty quick and was hot and ready to eat. All of our food was good well and we all enjoyed our dishes. My only takeaway would be if guests ordered bottled water and/or champagne, the waitress should poor them into the glasses for you. From my experience, this is something that I thought was a norm. Overall, great place to eat!
