I opted to grab the bubbles on HH and enjoyed it. The bartenders and host were both really nice. It was easy to snag a bar seat. My husband got the special. We can't recall what kind of fish it was, but it was from Lake Michigan and FRESH! Mine was served with whipped potatoes, while his came with risotto. Both were delightful. Our server, Jake, was knowledgeable and funny. We appreciated his willingness to allow us to try a few wines before making a decision. The food was very good. I had the Branzino which was cooked perfectly! It is so buttery and delicious, melt in your mouth!! The whipped potatoes underneath were a nice complement to such a mouth watering plate! Love the addition of capers as well. Boyfriend had the Steamed Red Snapper and was very happy with his choice. We considered doing the Crispy Asian Snapper for Two, but decided on trying two separate plates instead of sharing. We did see the Snapper for Two at a nearby table and it did look pretty amazing! I also noticed they had enough to take home leftovers as well! We chose the caviar deviled eggs for an app, and I'm just a sucker for caviar deviled eggs. Our sake was called Dreamy Clouds. Very fresh, clean, and good price. The happy hour prosecco and house red was not ideal for my taste buds. The deviled eggs with caviar was also delicious you get 3 pieces (1.5 eggs). Then we switched to the dining room for dinner. The service is exceptional We had a new guy in training he was so fun and professional. The menu was cute ... More Appetizers... Mussels and clams chowder. I'm picky about my clam chowder and it was tasty and not too thin. Had potato and more clam than most places. What can't I say about this place! All the food and drinks were spectacular! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable with drinks and the menu. We started with the crispy rice and spicy tuna, a common dish but Lures' made it so fresh- it just tasted so good. We also ordered the salmon tiradito, lobster roll, lobster Mac n cheese, and fried rice. Everything was delicious, but the fried rice was the sleeper of the night... it was so flavorful and maybe a commonly a slept on dish by other customers. Unfortunately you only get to choose 2 of the 3 courses on the restaurant week menu (with several options for all courses), but fortunately I was able to split food with someone and try an appetizer, entree and dessert! Started off with a yummy lobster bisque (that isn't offered on their regular menu). The sesame-crusted tuna salad had a nice dressing and was very fresh. First time here. Treated daughter for her debut week in a national tour production at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. The food was amazing. We got the Feast of the Seven Fishes and the portions were supposed to for a single person. They were huge. The octopus was very tender. The calamari was lightly breaded and amazing. The pasta was nice and al dente. They ran out of clams and substituted with shrimp. It was probably one of the best dinners I have had in a restaurant. The ambience was very nice. The only issue we had was when we were being seated at a table, we asked to sit in the empty booth right next to the table and she said we would be served faster at the table, which I thought was a weird statement. Two thing cinched it for me: this amazing wine and the horrible service. I heard one of the bartenders bragging about how their boss called them for a supposed wine festival because they thought it would be busiest than it turned out to be. That may be so, but I had to ask for every glass of wine and even to order while others were served around me. The hostess staff were impeccable though. A beautiful and spacious restaurant that I have been meaning to try for awhile. Unfortunately, the food was no good. For starters, when we sat down it smelled fishy...while I eat seafood, I don't want it to be smelling like fish. I don't want it to be smelling like anything. I tried the kenai roll (salmon), which was good but the fish didn't taste the freshest. I also had the seasonal ravioli which had mushrooms and ricotta; it was super bland - even a little salt would have gone a long way. I tried the red snapper with red curry - this was good, but again the fish didn't taste that fresh. I had some sort of pineapple non-alcoholic drink, which was okay, but watered down. The service was good, except at the end of dinner I noticed bits of a shattered glass next to me on the booth. I was worried i was sitting on a piece of glass and surprised they hadn't cleaned it properly. All in all, glad I got to try it but that was a one and done outing. read more

I have been to a Lure fish bar before and was very pleased with everything that was served. Previously it was for a sponsored Yelp event in which we got to try a lot of different menu items. Lure Fishbar has this incredible seafood pasta made with bucatini pasta. I also enjoy their various sushi selections. On this occasion came for happy hour and to sample some wines. Top Albarino wines were sampled and a lot education put into the presentation. We didn't stay for dinner this time as my spouse isn't seafood crazy unless deepfried. Exceptional food and service from start to finish. Andrew is a gem! Will definitely request his service again in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed the uni crispy rice, west coast oysters, and salmon tiradito. Every bite was delicious. My red snapper with red curry sauce was incredible. My husband had the uni bucatini which he said was decadent and wish he could have licked the plate. Cocktails came out quickly and were on point. Love Lure. I have visited over 5 times now and love the basic beach cocktails and the selection of wines. I highly recommend the house roll and the fire roll! Both are absolutely incredible. This most recent visit, I got the steak frites and was not disappointed. My husband is obsessed with the burger. The burger bun is incredibly soft!! I usually come here to celebrate occasions (aka Valentines or date night). It's on the pricey side but I do think it's worth it. It's great for date nites or places to celebrate as you can hear each other as it is rather quiet inside. If you like watching sushi be made I would recommend sitting at the sushi bar, it is fascinating to watch. read more

I came in for good Friday at 11 and waited till 11:30 for lunch. I really wanted to try their clam chowder but it had bacon in it. I couldn't eat meat on Friday so I ended up with lobster roll. Lobster roll was good and plenty of lobster meat. Came with chips. The slaw that came with it was surprisingly good. After attending a Yelp event here during the week, I felt it was only right to return to get a true experience of Lure Fishbar. Me and a good friend decided to come this past Saturday night for some good grub in the River North nightlife scene. The scene was very nice with the dim lights in which the place makes for a great date. We started with the Lobster Mac which was very rich and shareable. Eating it solo is a meal in itself. This lobster mac had tons of lobster in it as most places just throw tine pieces in theirs. Lure does Lobster Mac & Cheese the right way. Washed it down with a nice greek red. We then decided to move onto the pretty spicy Hellfire Roll. The roll includes spicy tuna, avocado, tempura flakes, bruleed' tuna and kimchi sauce....very delicious! We then moved onto entrees as I went with the Branzino St. Tropez which came with yummy whipped potatoes, spinach, capers and citrus brown butter. A really good dish...washed it all down with a couple glasses of Sangiovese rose'. We thought we were done until our awesome waiter Andrew asked if we wanted dessert. Good menu full of goodies and we went with a nice warm deep dish cookie topped with ice cream. Damn that was good! Was ready to lay my head on the table and sleep at that point lol! Lure Fishbar has been a very special restaurant for me and my boyfriend ever since we first visited the New York location back in 2016. The ambiance and decor of this restaurant is nautical, classy and unique. The head chef, Chef Lee, does an excellent job with the sushi, seafood and each of the dishes on the menu. While the food is always outstanding, the service is even better. We've had the pleasure (and luck) of having Richard as our server a few different times over the past couple of years. He is kind, incredibly personable, funny and attentive. He has definitely made our experiences that much better and we are so thankful for his service. This restaurant is an absolute 10/10. They have the best lychee martini in the city, (seasonal), and their specials are always on point. We cannot recommend Lure Fishbar enough! read more

Worth every dime! Our waiter Richard was phenomenal! His table attendants were funny and very helpful! The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. I was so happy with the choice to come here. The previous night we went to Siena Tavern and I was so disappointed. I was searching for good food that wasn't your average chain like STK or Ocean Prime. My husband loves fried whole snapper. My husband can't have dairy. They change the egg wash that they typically fry the fish in and they made sure there was no cross contamination (most restaurants never ever ask us about this).
