    Bone marrow. Must get
    Janess B.

Boa is a must go! I can't believe they even had a happy hour menu! We ate by the bar to see their happy hour menu but only end up getting the tuna tacos, which were delish but miniature to our appetite. Fresh tuna all gone in one bite. We end up ordering the bone marrow with short rib, hamachi crudo, Wagyu meatball. It was perfect portions of food for both of us. The bone marrow with short rib is nothing to skip! Omgoodnesss that bone marrow was seasoned well and on point. Best bone marrow I've had in a long time! Short rib was so tender and went so well with the bone marrow and mini crostini bread. We definitely killed this. No one should ever miss out on this in any Boa. We even had this in Vegas and it's really their signature dish. The Wagyu meatball was also delish. Nice fatty flavor. Hamachi crudo was light, fresh, and tasty. The ultimate star of the end of the show was this sticky toffee pudding cake with salted caramel ice cream. I've had sticky toffee pudding in other steakhouses and restaurants. The best I've had was at Hell's Kitchen; however that was put to shame after having this here at Boa! The bartenders were saying that the English chef used his family recipe on this one. By GOLLY WIZ, it was absolutely exquisite! The cake was super fluffy, warm, and not dense like others I've had. It wasn't too sweet and it went so well with the salted caramel ice cream. Absolutely heavenly. This will take #1 in my book. Service here was amazing! Ryan and Mark at the bar were so nice and always checking up on us. Great customer service and very welcoming! I love how the menu had nonalcoholic options. I got the margarita nonalcoholic which actually tasted pretty decent!! Without the extra calories and sugar. Ambiance is casual/dressy. Happy hour is 5-6pm. Great options. Random Tip of etiquette: Don't ask the waiter to order off the happy hour menu for your friends coming late when it's passed 15min after happy hour. It's so tacky in a higher end restaurant. I can't believe locals do this. Don't go to high end restaurants than if you plan to be cheap. Just saying.

Went here for their Mother's Day Brunch and everything was fantastic! Great selection of food and desserts (including ice cream)! Seafood which I love! We were greeted and seated immediately since we had a reservation. They gifted each mother with a little succulent! The mimosa cart lady was a whole vibe! She looked out for us! Since this is an all-you-can-eat buffet - don't wear spanks! Sorry I did not take more pictures but I wanted to be present for the occasion since we were celebrating my 1st Mother's Day! This was such a nice experience. The staff was so friendly and attentive. This is not a cheap dinner place so be prepared to spend. Party of 4 our bill was over $500. Food was delicious. The wine was some of the best I've ever had. My one complaint would be they offer a suggestion to enhance your milk but don't tell you there is an additional cost for that suggestion. Other than that we had a beautiful dinner. I would definitely come back for a special occasion

The food was decent but not worth the price in my opinion. The staff and ambiance were amazing though!

We have been coming to BOA for years. They have had vegan options for awhile thankfully but now they have recently added a vegan steak plate with fries which is so good! Right now they have a couple vegan options such as the cauliflower tempura, Thai curry, beyond steak, and smashed broccoli. Other steakhouses should learn from BOA and have some vegan options so we all can enjoy the food together. The service is always amazing here as well. Love that the dress code is not as strict as the West Hollywood location. It's nice to just walk around the beach in athletic shoes and come eat here after.

Food-Service-Wednesday half price wine by the bottle. Going there tonight is nothing but unsurpassed pleasure. Imbibe, chomp and start over again. Jovial staff and patrons just enhance the experience. Ron H Five

One of the best birthday celebrations ever! My daughter, Juana and I had a memorable evening. Our reservation found us at a charming corner table just adjacent to the lounge. We sat side by side with full people watching view. Vinny, I believe the floor captain greeted me by my first name. He was so kind and hospitable. Following behind was an our beautiful and fabulous server, Christian. Our dinner. Caviar Cones (2) Filet with bone-in Ribeye with bone-in Grill Asparagus Baked Potato and Dinner Rolls. Add my birthday Toffee Pudding topped with ice cream! Perhaps the best steak dinner ever!

Love! The staff and the view was beautiful. Took the family here for my daughter's birthday, would definitely recommend if you are visiting the pier.

We flew down to LA just to try BOA Steakhouse for my mom's birthday after hearing so many amazing reviews--and it beyond exceeded our expectations. We started with the Boa Fusion cocktail, which was sweet, strong, and sooo good. Then we ordered the table Caesar salad, and even for three people it was more than enough. For the main course we got the Australian Wagyu ribeye with sautéed mushrooms, paired with the Boa "boujee" twice-baked potato and Brussels sprouts. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth good--tender, flavorful, and honestly exceeded my expectations for steak anywhere. The boujee potato had caviar and crème fraîche, which I had never even thought about putting on a potato before... but now I feel like all my potatoes need to be made like this. After getting completely stuffed from dinner, we finished with the Valrhona chocolate crémeux. It was absolutely to die for--pure chocolate heaven. Start to finish everything was amazing. Service: 10/10 Food: Top tier The whole dinner really knocked it out of the park and made my mom's birthday feel special. Flying down just to eat here might sound crazy, but after this experience it was 100% worth it. I would definitely come back.

Just went to BOA Malibu had Chris what a guy. Made our whole time amazing. Thank you for a great time..

Back to BOA. My fave steak house in Santa Monica. Celebrated my birthday and I got free dessert, cookies and ice cream. Love it. The staffs are friendly and very attentive, they don't get into your nerves. Keeping the table clean when dishes are empty. Bone Marrow was delish.

My in-laws were staying in Santa Monica a few weeks ago so my wife and I went and got dinner with them. This was my first time going to a BOA Steakhouse location and it didn't take long to win me over. This place is absolutely beautiful inside and had an extremely friendly and attentive staff to go with it. The menu is pretty much what you expect from a steakhouse, offering a decent selection of steak cuts, some chicken and pork options, lots of sides, appetizers, and of course a few deserts to top you off at the end. I tried a decent amount of things so let's just break it down. Lobster Mac N' Cheese- This was definitely some of the best lobster Mac N' Cheese I remember having. The lobster itself had such a good flavour while the cheese and noodles didn't taste like generic steakhouse cheese, it had it's own distinct flavour that was absolutely delicious. Corn (Don't remember the technical name, it was seasonal)- The corn was served piping hot with a lemon and tasted very, very, very good. Original Mashed Potatoes- I'm a sucker for some good mashed potatoes and these ones absolutely did the job. Very light, Very good flavour, top notch. Centercut Filet Steak- Very solid piece of beef, cooked medium rare and had great flavour. Sticky Toffee Pudding- It's been too long since I had one of these and the wait was more than worth it. This thing was was absolutely amazing, so much flavour, and looked oh so nice. Overall, BOA Steakhouse gets a 5/5 in my book. I loved everything I ate, the staff was great, and the dark/calm environment made for a nice atmosphere. If you need a nice steak while passing through Santa Monica, BOA is the place to go.

The atmosphere immediately stood out -- it has a warm European-style charm that feels elegant without being stiff. Cozy lighting, intimate spacing, and a relaxed energy made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The food was exceptional across the board. The caviar cigar and caviar set were highlights -- rich, refined, and perfectly balanced rather than overwhelming. The Branzino was beautifully cooked with clean flavors and great texture. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé was outstanding -- you rarely see soufflé offered anymore, and this one was done properly: light, airy, and deeply chocolatey. We also ordered another dessert (name unfortunately forgotten) that included three cream puffs each topped with a scoop of ice cream. Before serving, the staff performed a flame presentation -- almost like a small tableside ceremony -- which was both entertaining and theatrical, and it actually tasted as good as it looked. Service deserves special recognition. Our server, a well-dressed gentleman whose name I sadly didn't catch, delivered truly outstanding hospitality. He consistently checked on our experience in a natural, non-intrusive way and clearly cared about the guests enjoying the night. His professionalism elevated the entire dinner. Between the ambiance, memorable dishes, and attentive service, this was a restaurant experience rather than just a meal. I will absolutely be coming back -- both for the food and for that level of service.

Food: Really appreciate that there are plenty of non alcoholic and mocktail options since very few places have such a variety. The poppin' lychee with mint was delicious. Mentaiko udon - very light, subtle flavor; wish it had a stronger mentaiko presence though not too creamy which I liked Toro sushi taco - good amount of quality toro though wasabi is mixed inside which wasn't my preference Sunomono cucumber salad with wakame seaweed - not bad though even with the HH price, the portion was small and not worth it in my opinion Aburi shime saba - seared cured mackerel that was torched tableside was fun and the searing to order gave a freshly smoky flavor while the fish itself was cold so it had good contrast Sashimi mori - thick portioned cuts of good quality fish served on ice to keep cool and they're able to accommodate the amount to the number of people sharing; fish changes depending on availability but salmon, scallop, and yellowtail were good, wasn't crazy about the sweet soy sauce for the chutoro, sea bream not bad, bonito was smoky Kakuni pork belly taco - not overly heavy and really good flavors Corn ribs with shoyu butter - such a delicious glaze and crisp texture outside, super unique in flavor Hojicha creme brulee - really love hojicha and they infused it so well into the creme brulee with solid tea flavor that balanced really well so it wasn't too sweet Wagyu meatballs with onion soy reduction - personally love caramelized onions and they did such a good job getting the rich, sweet flavor out; it wasn't overwhelming since I broke down the meatball to soak up the sauce Edamame - sea salt and lime gave it good seasoning and portion was worth it for HH Honmaguro salmon - sashimi was good but pricey for the small portion Honmaguro bluefin tuna - sashimi was good but also pricey for the portion, though the cuts were thicker than the salmon so slightly preferable Poke taco - good amount of poke on a seaweed "tortilla" which was really worth it for HH Bluefin tuna nigiri set - good flavor and quality though toro chewier Premium nigiri set - absolute favorite from here though sadly was only a seasonal special; toro with caviar was amazing, sweet shrimp melted in my mouth with how tender it was and ikura was great, and the seared scallop was smoky with uni on top Negitoro with garlic bread - solid though prefer without cream and wasabi personally Karaage - super juicy and flavorful with dark meat used so it didn't need sauce Garlic shrimp - good with garlic chili crisp on top and great size Wagyu curry - good curry with a spicy kick that's not overpowering though the wagyu is ground beef so hard to distinguish the quality Dan dan noodles - prominent peanut flavor Omakase - Caesar's salad was great without cheese or heavy ranch and crisps on top for texture, seared cured mackerel always good, sashimi was thick cuts of sea bream, bonito, and bluefin tuna which were good, mussels and clams had great flavor from sauce, corn rib in shoyu butter and tempura battered shrimp with chili mayo was one of my favorite courses since the shoyu butter flavor and texture on the corn is so delicious and the shrimp was well cooked, the black cod was subtle in flavor and I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a sweet potato puree and roasted tomato as well as crispy skin and had that smokiness, wagyu meatball was great as usual, wagyu curry was super filling, miso soup great palate cleanser, and mango sticky rice sorbet was a bit too hard in texture for me personally and not enough mango Skip: mentaiko udon, sunomono cucumber salad with wakame seaweed, honmaguro salmon and bluefin tuna, dan dan noodles Would order again: HH edamame, HH poke taco, HH kakuni pork belly taco Must orders: hojicha creme brulee, aburi shime saba (seared cured mackerel), corn ribs, wagyu meatball (if you love caramelized onions), karaage I've been here four times now and have to say the $70 happy hour omakase (typically $80) was my favorite experience here so far although my favorite bites were from their seasonal special when the $20 nigiri premium set was offered. They have all day happy hour on Sundays and Mondays which is really nice to not worry about a cutoff and late night on Fridays and Saturdays from 9-10:30pm in addition to Tuesdays - Fridays 5-6:30pm and Saturdays 4-6pm. The omakase does end 30 min before happy hour does though!!

It's a cozy place with great service and unique options. If you're looking got rolls here, don't bother because it's a traditional place and they don't mess with rolls. Everything was delicious and they had a lot of vegan options. The vegan curry was amazing. They have a regular and late night happy hour as well with all day on Mondays and Sundays. Everything is made fresh and the kitchen is right in front of you over the counter. Highly recommended place for everything. Food; traditional, fresh, lots of variety Prices: $6-$30 Parking: lots of meters on Wilshire and side streets Dietary: plenty of vegan and vegetarian options Atmosphere: cozy for dates, but also tables for groups, and a bar area. Service: very helpful and fast

Some of the best service I've ever had. Great food, too…read more I went there for an event. They picked a perfect place. It's pretty quiet. There's a TV at the bar, and the bar is also in the main room, but it works. A huge shoutout to our server, Levi. One of the best in the business. He really made this an extra special experience for us. We all had various rolls, and they were all works of art....and yes, they were delicious. I had cheesecake for dessert. Probably the best cheesecake I've ever had. Nice 'n light. Perfect!! There's a social hour, which I'm guessing is another name for happy hour, daily from 5-7 pm with a nice variety of food and drink specials. They have parking on the side of the building. That's a huge plus in that area. Worth checking out.

The hostess was super kind and led us to a table right next to a beautiful olive tree in the main seating area, which made for a very comfortable vibe and a lovely view. Our server, Levi, provided outstanding service throughout the night and was super knowledgeable and attentive. He was honestly the main reason we had such a lovely time, as his energy was great and he was constantly checking in on us and making sure we were satisfied with everything. To drink, we had the Yuzu Whiskey Sour and the Melrose Passionfruit Martini, both of which were refreshing, delicious, and paired well with our food selection. I also had a Raspberry Breeze mocktail, which was sweet, tart, and bubbly! To eat, we started with the Rock Shrimp, which had a great spicy flavor and crunch to it. We also tried the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, which I liked, but I think the price on this item is a little steep, and you might be better off ordering another roll or menu item. For rolls, we ordered the Crunchy, the Tiger, the Lemon, and the Killer. Of these, my favorite had to be the Killer, as it was super fresh and had a great kick to it. Chef Salvador graciously sent over some Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail nigiri for my partner and me to try, and it was such a thoughtful gesture and delicious treat for us. We were also kindly given a key lime pie to end our meal and celebration on a sweet note. The presentation for everything was lovely, and I really enjoyed the little radish stars! Overall, the fish is among the best and freshest I've had, the drinks are great, and the service is unmatched; I truly felt catered to and cannot wait for my next experience here! Thank you, Levi, Chef Salvador, and everyone at the Red Fish for an unforgettable anniversary dinner!

Much to my pleasure they had a channel which displayed extreme sports. Dirt bike riding, cliff diving, ski jumping. Made me feel cooler just watching it. Usually I prefer making my own salad dressings (Green Goddess & 1000 Island) from scratch. Yeah I am that picky. So I was surprised I liked the Brixton Bowl with the soy miso dressing. I almost asked for extra dressing, it was that good. Made me want to try making my own version. The vegetables being edamame & carrots were tenderly cooked & lightly seasoned with care. The purple cabbage was crunchy & fresh. The white rice underneath hot and soft. Enjoyed the contrast of textures. Good sized portion too. So satisfied with this entree I declined the dessert which is rare! My bf ordered The Burger & cheesecake. He said it was good. I thought they looked beautiful. To top it off our waiter looked like Bad Bunny! What an unexpected treat on a hot summer day.
