I walked into Boartooth Tattoo for an ear piercing yesterday after impulsively deciding to get a third hole. Not the most exciting piercing, but for me it was a big deal! I was very nervous about it, but there was no reason to be. The shop is bright, beautiful, very clean, and so cool that it made me feel cool by association. They weren't busy because I came in at an odd time, and they were able to take me right away. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Annie, who did my piercing, is awesome!!! She made me very comfortable, explained everything she was going to do, and made sure those holes were perfectly placed. I have been going to Boartooth Tattoo for a little over 2 years working on a leg sleeve. The entire process has been amazing, from start to almost finish. Daniel, the shop owner, is also a great artist. We worked together with the seed of my idea to come up with a fully fleshed out design. His knowledge of mythology and symbolism is unparalleled, and we discussed different styles and concepts for hours before constructing a powerful and meaningful piece. After the concept was finished, Daniel spent some time drawing out a full sized piece for my leg. We then got start laying out how the color scheme was going to play out with the meaning of the piece and put together a schedule, since the piece was so large. When we started tattooing, Daniel was highly professional, friendly and understanding. This has been an ongoing process that is just now coming to completion and through it all, Daniel has been flexible and understanding. The quality of his art is unbelievable and I have people comment regularly on the piece, even though it is not even finished yet. Through the process, I have also become great friends with Daniel and the other members of his staff here at Boartooth Tattoo. Vince and Luc are both awesome. I look forward to coming here for every one of my sessions. Work here is priced very fairly for extremely high quality and Daniel works very quickly without sacrificing the art. My experience at Boartooth Tattoo was awesome from the day I received my consultation from the owner Daniel all the way up until my actual appointment day. I was actually referred to Daniel by an ex co worker. After receiving his name and shop information I immediately looked him up on Instagram to see his work. I was impressed so I sent an email introducing myself and explaining my ultimate goal. I received a response within 24 hours and Daniel invited me in for a consultation. I went in for a consultation. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and Daniel was actually tattooing another client but stopped and took the time to come over and formally introduce himself to discuss my tattoo. I paid my deposit and he scheduled my appointment. I would also like to add the shop is immaculate! From the waiting area to the restroom, that shop is clean and smell fresh. I can't speak for others but that's important and a requirement for me especially for a tattoo shop. The overall energy in the shop was great and the music they played was dope! My appointment day arrived and once again I'm immediately greeted and handed my paperwork to get started. I noticed Daniels area was set up and ready to start on my tattoo. That showed me he was prepared and I loved it. I excused myself to the restroom to change out of my work clothes, came out and was greeted by Daniel and we got right to work. I went in for a tattoo correction. He completely freehanded my design. I must admit I was nervous while he was marking me up but that quickly went away once I saw his vision and where he was going with it. He was very honest and up front. I gave Daniel complete creative control. We got started and the end result was amazing! Overall my experience at Boartooth Tattoo was great and I will definitely be returning. Daniel is a dope guy. He was professional, friendly, funny, and most importantly you can tell he's passionate about tattooing. He's great with time and the pricing is fair. I went from being insecure about showing my original tattoo to now being super confident and proud to show it. And I owe it all to Daniel. We even discussed my next tattoo. I will also like to add that Daniels personal appearance and personal hygiene was on point. This may not matter to some. But it's a big deal to me especially when your armpits are over my face to tattoo my chest lol. I also saw the work of another artist in the shop and from the looks of things everybody in the shop is dope. In my opinion you can't go wrong at Boartooth Tattoo.
