Blueberry pancakes and non-instant grits done the way the good Lord intended.

Classic diner fare in classic diner setting, 24/7. Last had breakfast here around around 30 years ago and was delighted to find it utterly unchanged in appearance from my memory, and still bright and clean inside. Food was still generous in quantity, filling, and really great tasting at reasonable prices. I think I've only had breakfast here but I wouldn't hesitate to try one of the other meals including pork chop or steak, if you want it at reasonable cost in casual. Unpretentious setting. Table service was friendly from young male waiter was friendly and reasonably attentive. Coffee cups stayed full without being intrusive. Loved it

This location is the original/first diner. Walked in on a Sunday morning. Thought it was busy, we were able to seat ourselves quickly without waiting and the service was quick too. Old pictures hang on the wall. Got a solid breakfast. The specialty hotcake (chocolate chip) served with 2 eggs and sausages. The pancakes were big. Bob & Edith's Diner is your typical diner serving breakfast food all day, open 24/7. Food was good but I thought the space was a little cramped for me. Giving this location a 4/5.

Katherine was amazing! So sweet and smoked the whole time! You found tell she loves her job! It shined through !

I always think of this place as the original greasy spoon. I got the opportunity to take my son here today and share some memories of misspent youth, coming here after the bars closed. Hasn't changed much in 25 years, still good breakfast food in an old 50s feeling diner. Service is quick and folks are friendly. If you live in the area, this is the local hangout.

Exactly what you expect for a diner from the moment you walk in. Simple and unassuming. Seated immediately and given a menu. Hamburger and fries for me this afternoon. Order came out quickly. Fries are hot. Only ding is that it's diced white onions not sliced red or white onions. I would certainly come back.

At this restaurant the service was quick(under 10 minutes), its open for service at all hours for a decent price.

This 24 hour diner is AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back!! This was my first time trying country fried steak and I am obsessed. I got it with white gravy and two sides: hash browns and macaroni salad. My only complaint is that the macaroni salad was not my favorite - I would've liked if the sauce for the potato salad was the same as the macaroni salad because the potato salad was delicious. The fries are also crispy, and the hash browns were a great side to the country fried steak. We also got the pork chop which also tasted good. If you come here, you really have to order the country fried steak. It is cooked well and the gravy is very flavorful.

Early breakfast on Sunday was great! Waiters are very friendly and helpful! The seats and tables were clean and overall good experience.

Great food...Super service. The staff was very attentive and engaged! The food portions were plentiful and great tasting. I will visit them again when in DC! I have to say that this Boston Crème Pie is the best I have ever had - anywhere. It was actually full of custard cream, very light on cake, a marked contrast to what one usually receives for a dessert of this name. In my opinion this recipe is the way it should be. If you are simply looking for dessert and coffee, I wholeheartedly recommend the Boston Cream Pie at Bob & Edith's Diner . Try it and see if you agree.

We had mimosas and lemonade, both pretty good, and ordered a nice variety of food. We tried Ruthie's Breakfast, the cornbread, biscuits, deviled eggs, and beignets. When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met.
