I have loved B&Es since the daughters ran it in the 90s but I just had a delivery meal that was so gross I felt I had no other choice than to post about it. I ordered the "one eyed burger" and fries. They got it to me in time so it wasn't cold but the egg tasted like rubber so I took it off and realized the burger did too. Instead of fries, I got chunks of potatoes. Not sure what that's all about but I didn't even try them. I had to wrap it up tight just so I didn't have to smell it. I gave 2 stars out of nostalgia but this is not the B&Es I knew. read more

This 24 hour diner is AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back!! This was my first time trying country fried steak and I am obsessed. I got it with white gravy and two sides: hash browns and macaroni salad. My only complaint is that the macaroni salad was not my favorite - I would've liked if the sauce for the potato salad was the same as the macaroni salad because the potato salad was delicious. The fries are also crispy, and the hash browns were a great side to the country fried steak. We also got the pork chop which also tasted good. If you come here, you really have to order the country fried steak. It is cooked well and the gravy is very flavorful. read more

I have to say that this Boston Crème Pie is the best I have ever had - anywhere. I asked him what was going on and he said do you want me to cancel your food in a rude and yelling voice he wasn't listening to my concern how other tables got there food before mine. Growing up in NYC everybody loves a good diner and I've heard about Bob & Edith's for years but haven't been able to make it. We were in the area after a track meet so we decided to make the trip over. As we pull up it is much smaller than I thought it would be...real diner/dive feel in a good way. We sit down in a few of the booths and check out the menu. Typical diner fare - burgers, meatloaf, turkey, cheesesteaks, all day breakfast, etc. The kids order burgers and fries + milkshakes. Can't go wrong with that order and the kids verify they are spot on. The fries are awesome...crispy, not greasy...nice! We also get the chili and the chicken fried steak sub. Both are pretty good... I can't quite get to 4 stars but will go with 3.5 as the open face turkey sandwich was mediocre. Seems like the turkey was reheated a bit too much and was on the dry side. Considering that was my meal, I have to dock 1/2 star. Lastly the service is quick and efficient. Very nice young lady who was attentive and quick with everything we needed. I'm sure if you order the right dishes Bob & Edith's will execute 'em right. Would like to go back again for breakfast and will reassess with an updated review. read more

Parking was available right out front and there was plenty of seating inside. I got the meatloaf with a side of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. It also came with 2 dinner rolls. The meatloaf was huge and delicious. Potatoes were clearly freshly made. Also had a giant iced water. Service was great and she was incredibly friendly. I couldn't even finish half the plate, they really fill you up. My total was only about $12 so it's super cheap/reasonable for the area. The diner is very old fashioned and is cozy. There are classic diner style stables and benches. The workers here were all on top of their job. I ordered the steak omelette with hash browns and asked for crispy. It was a really good omelette and hash brown combo with some ketchup and Tabasco sauce.
